Abstract

Law enforcement in Indonesia faces a range of challenges, including corrupt practices, social injustice, and weak capacity of law enforcement officials, which hinder the achievement of a safe, orderly, just, and prosperous society. This research aims to analyze the historical, socio-political, and cultural dynamics that affect law enforcement in Indonesia, as well as to identify solutions to strengthen a just legal system. The method used is literature research with a qualitative approach, collecting data from related literature and analyzing relevant legal concepts and social dynamics. The findings of the study show that fair enforcement of the law is essential to ensure justice not only in terms of legal, but also social and moral, considering the influence of religious, customary, and state laws. In addition, the politicization of the law is a big challenge. The implications of this research are the need for legal system reform, strengthening the capacity of law enforcement officials, increasing access to justice, and the use of technology to increase transparency and efficiency. Collaboration between the government, law enforcement, and the public is also key to creating a more responsive and fair legal system in Indonesia.

Abstract

Character education in elementary schools is an important foundation in building a young generation that is religious, ethical, and virtuous. The first precept of Pancasila, namely the One Godhead, is the main foundation in instilling moral values, faith, and piety from an early age. The research aims to examine the meaning and role of the first precept of Pancasila in building character education for elementary school students. Using the literature study method, this study analyzes a variety of literature, including books, scientific journals, and relevant official documents. The analysis was carried out descriptively to understand the contribution of the value of the One God in shaping the character of students. The results of the study show that the application of divine values through integration in the curriculum, religious activities, and strengthening a tolerant environment in elementary schools can increase religiosity, ethics, and mutual respect for students. In conclusion, the first precept of Pancasila provides a solid foundation for character formation in elementary schools. For this reason, further support is needed through teacher training and the provision of inclusive educational resources.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of TikTok advertisements on the purchasing interest in skincare products among female students at SMK Perwira Negara. With the increasing use of social media, TikTok has become an effective marketing platform. The aim of this research is to understand how advertisements affect skincare purchasing decisions and the challenges faced by students regarding product knowledge. The methodology used is a survey with a quantitative approach, where the population consists of female students who use skincare products. The sample was taken using purposive sampling, with a questionnaire as the data collection instrument. Data analysis was conducted statistically to test the hypothesis regarding the influence of TikTok advertisements. The results show that TikTok advertisements have a significant impact on the purchasing interest in skincare products. Influencers and creative content on TikTok can capture students' attention and alter their perceptions of the products. These findings emphasize the importance of marketing strategies through social media, where attractive and informative advertisements can enhance the desire to purchase. This research recommends that companies optimally utilize digital platforms to reach young consumers, considering the significant role of social media in current marketing.

Abstract

Pancasila as the basis of the state and the nation's outlook on life faces great challenges in maintaining its relevance in the era of globalization. The education system, especially through the Independent Curriculum, is a strategic instrument to internalize the values of Pancasila in the younger generation. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Pancasila education at SMA Negeri 17 Surabaya, including its opportunities, challenges, and innovations. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was used, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that Pancasila education is integrated through project-based learning methods, discussions, and case simulations. This activity increases student engagement, despite barriers such as a lack of teacher training and teaching modules that are not fully applicable. School principals support Pancasila values-based policies, but parental involvement needs to be increased. The conclusion shows that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum opens opportunities for more applicable Pancasila education, but challenges such as teacher competence and limited resources need to be overcome. It is recommended that there be intensive training, the development of contextual modules, and strengthening collaboration between teachers, students, and parents. This research contributes to the development of relevant and sustainable Pancasila education.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of maritime operations and the global push for digitalization have driven the adoption of electronic agreements as a means to enhance legal compliance, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability. This research investigates the legality and applicability of electronic contracts within the maritime sector, addressing gaps in previous studies by incorporating the perspectives of maritime professionals, educators, and recent graduates. The study aims to explore how electronic agreements can streamline port and shipping management, improve vocational maritime education, and promote sustainable practices. Key research questions focus on the effectiveness of electronic contracts, their integration into maritime curricula, and the operational challenges faced by industry professionals. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research combines a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with qualitative data from interviews and questionnaires conducted with 10 participants, including experts, lecturers, and graduates. The results reveal a strong alignment between theoretical frameworks and practical applications, with overall indicators scoring 9/10, reflecting high levels of efficiency and acceptance. The findings demonstrate that electronic agreements facilitate faster transactions, reduce administrative costs, and enhance legal clarity. The integration of digital contract management into maritime education further prepares future seafarers for evolving industry demands. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and industry leaders, contributing to the advancement of maritime digitalization and sustainability.

Abstract

The maritime industry faces increasing pressure to adapt to sustainability goals and provide skilled professionals capable of navigating environmental and technological changes. This research investigates the integration of sustainability into maritime vocational education, its impact on employability, and the development of clear career pathways for graduates. The study aims to answer key questions about how sustainability is incorporated into curricula, how employability skills are developed, and how career pathways are structured for maritime students. A qualitative approach, including interviews with 10 maritime professionals, lecturers, and graduates, along with a systematic literature review (SLR), was employed to explore these issues. The results highlight that while technical skills are well-developed in maritime education, there is a significant gap in soft skills development, such as communication and leadership. Additionally, career pathways and industry-academia collaborations were found to be underdeveloped, hindering graduates' transitions into the workforce. The findings emphasize the importance of a more standardized approach to sustainability in maritime education, enhanced soft skills training, and stronger industry connections to support students' career progression. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on maritime education, offering practical implications for enhancing curricula, improving employability, and creating clearer career pathways in maritime vocational training.

Abstract

The transition to green shipping is a critical challenge for the maritime sector, requiring a shift in both technological adoption and workforce preparedness. This research examines the readiness of seafarers for this transition, focusing on the alignment between maritime vocational education and industry needs. The analysis addresses the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in green shipping technologies. The research aims to answer key questions regarding the integration of sustainability into maritime education, seafarer readiness, and the alignment of training with industry requirements. A qualitative methodology combining Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and interviews with 10 maritime professionals, educators, and graduates was used to gather insights. The SLR provided a theoretical framework for understanding the green shipping transition, while the interviews revealed practical barriers to implementing sustainable practices in training programs. The findings show a clear misalignment between current educational practices and industry demands, with a need for hands-on training and stronger collaboration between academia and industry. The research emphasizes the importance of integrating green shipping technologies into curricula and fostering a culture of sustainability in the maritime sector. This study contributes valuable insights into the preparation of seafarers for a sustainable future in the maritime industry, offering practical recommendations for improving education and industry collaboration.

Abstract

This article elaborates on the definition of marriage agreements, the procedures for establishing such agreements, their benefits, and the religious evidence addressing the topic. The study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology and a library research technique. The arguments presented in this essay are based on various sources, including hadiths, tafsir, fiqh literature, and classical Islamic texts. It also incorporates the arguments and opinions of Islamic scholars. Contributions from modern fiqh experts are also included, resulting in a cohesive conclusion. The findings of this study indicate that, based on evidence from the Quran, Hadith, and the majority of scholars (jumhur ulama), the legal ruling on marriage agreements is permissible (mubah).

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of social environment on students' interest in choosing higher education using a qualitative approach based on secondary data. Factors influencing students' decisions to continue higher education involve various dimensions, including family support, peer influence, government policy, and technological developments. The family plays an important role in providing encouragement or obstacles, depending on the educational background of the parents. Peers also have a major influence in shaping students' views on the importance of higher education. In addition, social media and technology provide wider access to information, although it can create gaps if not balanced with adequate digital literacy. Technological changes and the development of skills-based industries encourage students' interest in choosing more applicable higher education paths, while government policies such as tuition subsidies and scholarships can increase access for students from low-income economic backgrounds. However, socio-economic inequality and uneven technological infrastructure are challenges in creating equal access for all levels of society. This study highlights the importance of inclusive policies, adaptation of universities to labor market needs, and broader counseling for families and students in order to make better decisions about higher education. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the development of more sustainable and equitable education policies across all levels of society.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an essential skill that enables people to handle their personal money responsibly. With good financial literacy, people can make sound financial decisions, identify problems with debt, and manage their time effectively. This also contributes to lowering the risk of financial failure and improving economic stability. Financial literacy education should start as soon as possible so that future generations can overcome economic challenges and achieve financial stability.
