Abstract

This study is aimed to find out English as a Foreign Language (EFL) college students’ speaking constrains in research proposal seminar presentation. The design of the research was a qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were 29 students of English Study Program of Muhammadiyah of Bengkulu who presented their proposal on April 2020 – June 2020. The researcher used observation checklist as the instrument of this research. The checklist was designed based on Gan (2012). The questions were divided into five aspects; limited number of vocabulary, hard to apply grammar rules, and not perfect pronunciation and Intonation. The findings revealed that speaking constrains encountered by the students of English Education Study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu in proposal seminar presentation were limited number of vocabulary, hard to apply grammar rules, not perfect pronunciation and intonation. It is suggested that students take a lot of practices and make a good preparation. Structure your talk by the same order that you have structured your research proposal. Moreover, you can also attend English offline academic seminar and watch English seminar on You Tube more frequently.Key Words: EFL college students, speaking constrains, proposal seminar.

Abstract

The aims of this article are to analysis concept of Hyperrealism in Harry Potter’s Novel by J.K Rowling. There are about 7 novels from J.K Rowling that tell about life in a witch school (Hogwarts) which is filled with mystery and friendship between Harry Potter as the main character, of course with different series in each of the stories. The analysis method used in this novel the title is Harry Potter because the researchers would analyze concept of hyperrealism used in the novels. The process of this article has several step such as read the novels, identifies a concept of hyperrealism, making table to collect about concept of hyperrealism and the last is to evaluate the concept. This article is to help readers more easily understand a concept, namely the concept of hyperrealism in Harry Potter stories.Keyword:  Hyperrealism, Harry Potter, J.K Rowling

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to analyze the strategies of writing articles by students through online learning on the educational research subject. Internet usage, online journals, knowing the problem to research, focus, and diligently consult every writing to the supervisor. In this article, the author applies descriptive qualitative research methods and interview techniques. The process of writing this article includes several steps such as conducting interviews, identifying, and documentation to collect data. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the student problem in time management, the data is get from the student who was learn by using online learning in class. The data is using questionnarre and collect by google form, this research using three tests to the data that is validity, reliability and percentage. The result of the data is valid, reliable and ten points of data is proven true by the percentage. With this research the student can knowing first what the problem that will happen in online learning when the student wat to do time management.Keyword: Problem, Online Learning, Student, Time Management

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students' ability to use E- Learning. This research uses descriptive quantitative case study method that is used to get a picture of students' ability to use E-Learning. In this study, the respondents were 30 students, and gave them a multiple-choice test. The results of this study indicate that the ability of students to use E Learning is sufficient, but there are some problems in using E-Learning cannot be accessed on certain Wi-Fi, and then the E-Learning web is often error. Therefore, it can be concluded that students already have the ability to use E-Learning KELAS KITO, but on the other hand, students also find some problems that exist in the E-Learning.Keywords: Corona Virus, Online Learning, E-Learning KELAS KITO
