Abstract

Employee performance analysis is a form of activity that is used as a measuring tool to evaluate work processes. The importance of performance analysis will have an impact on the resulting work ethic to provide improvements to an organization. This research aims to analyze the influence of work quality and motivation on employee performance at the Padang City Education and Culture Office. The research dataset used was 123 employees with data collection methods, namely using the results of surveys and questionnaires. Research tools for analyzing work quality and motivation use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the tests that have been carried out, it was found that the Work Quality variable has a positive and significant effect on work morale. Work Motivation Variable, also has a quite significant positive impact on work morale. The Work Quality variable, has also been proven to have a positive but not significant effect on performance. Work Motivation, also plays an active role in performance. Overall, the results of the analysis have shown that work quality and motivation can have a positive influence and trend on employee performance. Based on these findings, this research can contribute to employee governance and management processes at the Padang City Education and Culture Office.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of machine learning models for anomaly detection and fraud analysis in blockchain transactions within the Open Metaverse, amid the growing complexity of digital transactions in virtual spaces. Utilizing a dataset of 78,600 transactions that reflect a broad spectrum of user behaviors and transaction types, we evaluated the efficacy of several predictive models, including RandomForest, LinearRegression, SVR, DecisionTree, KNeighbors, GradientBoosting, AdaBoost, Bagging, XGB, and LightGBM, based on their Mean Cross-Validation Mean Squared Error (Mean CV MSE). Our analysis revealed that ensemble methods, particularly RandomForest and Bagging, demonstrated superior performance with Mean CV MSEs of -0.00445 and -0.00415, respectively, thereby highlighting their robustness in the complex transaction dataset. In contrast, LinearRegression and SVR were among the least effective, with Mean CV MSEs of -224.67 and -468.57, indicating a potential misalignment with the dataset's characteristics. This research underlines the importance of selecting appropriate machine learning strategies in the context of blockchain transactions within the Open Metaverse, showcasing the need for advanced, adaptable approaches. The findings contribute significantly to the financial technology field, particularly in enhancing security and integrity within virtual economic systems, and advocate for a nuanced approach to anomaly detection and fraud analysis in blockchain environments.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of deep learning models for anomaly detection and fraud analysis within blockchain transactions of the Open Metaverse. Given the burgeoning complexity and scale of virtual environments, ensuring the integrity and security of blockchain transactions is paramount. We employed three deep learning architectures: Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), to analyze and predict transactional anomalies. Using a dataset comprising 78,600 records of metaverse transactions, each model was rigorously evaluated through a 5-fold cross-validation approach, focusing on the Mean Squared Error (MSE) as the primary performance metric. The MLP model demonstrated superior predictive accuracy with the lowest average CV MSE, suggesting its effectiveness in capturing the intricate patterns of blockchain transactions. The study's findings highlight the nuanced capabilities of each model in addressing the specific challenges of fraud analysis and anomaly detection in the metaverse's blockchain environment. By providing a comparative analysis of these deep learning approaches, this research contributes to the strategic development of security measures in the Open Metaverse, promoting a secure and trustworthy digital economy.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of Quice Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) in payment transaction at Car Free Day (CFD) Kraksaan and its impact on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Qualitive research methods were used with a descriptive approach through interviews with Kraksaan CFD traders and visitors who use Qris. The interview results show that QRIS is used by traders to simplify the payment process, imcrease transaction efficiency, and reduce the problem of returns, the use of QRIS is also considered to provide additional security in transactions. Even thought there are several problems related to consumer balaces, the use of QRIS is considered to be optimal. Merchants who have not yet used QRIS are expected to immediately adopt it to expand the reach of payments and increase transaction efficiency. In conclusion, the use of QRIS has a positive impact in increasing the efficiency and security of transactions in CFD Kraksaan, and is expected to provide greater benefits and society as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to establish the relationship between education inequality, poverty, and economic growth in the 10 Provinces of Sumatra Island 2004-2022. The data used is secondary data sourced from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). The analytical approach employed encompasses the Panel Vector Error Correction Model (PVECM) along with Granger Causality. The findings indicate the presence of both short-term and long-term associations between education inequality and economic growth concerning poverty levels in the 10 Provinces of Sumatra Island. Furthermore, a bidirectional connection is observed between education inequality and economic growth within the 10 Provinces of Sumatera Island. Conversely, a unidirectional linkage is identified between economic growth and poverty in the 10 Province of Sumatera Island. It is anticipated that governmental policies will aim to enhance educational aspects and promote public consciousness regarding education to bolster developmental investments across various regional autonomies at both the Regency/City and Province tiers in Indonesia.

Abstract

With the advancement of technology in the present era, it has become an innovation for many companies to leverage these advancements. Social media stands as evidence of technological progress in this era. Social media marketing (SMM) is a means to capture consumer attention towards brand content on social media platforms. SMM also serves to cultivate relationships with loyal customers. This study aims to investigate the impact of social media marketing on brand loyalty in fast-food restaurants in Manado, with brand gestalt playing a mediating role. The research adopts a quantitative methodology, with primary data collected through online questionnaires from 135 fast-food restaurant customers in Manado, North Sulawesi. Convenience sampling is employed for sample selection. The data is then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) utilizing SmartPLS. The findings of this analysis demonstrate that social media marketing significantly influences brand loyalty and brand gestalt. Additionally, a significant and positive relationship is detected between brand gestalt and brand loyalty. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of social media marketing and brand gestalt in shaping consumer loyalty in the fast-food restaurant industry, offering insights that can inform strategic marketing efforts in this sector.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of brand gestalt variables, especially the four dimensions, story, sensescape, servicescape, stakeholders, on word-of-mouth marketing and the revisit intention. This research has eight hypotheses with a sample size of 175 obtained from the distribution of questionnaires carried out in October and November 2023. The data obtained was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) assisted by the SmartPLS statistical program. The results obtained show that the brand gestalt dimensions that influence word of mouth marketing and interest in revisiting are only two dimensions, namely Stakeholder for word-of-mouth marketing and Story for interest in returning to visit. Additionally, the study found that the remaining six hypotheses did not yield significant influences. The results of this research can be a reference for the food and beverage sector so that it can improve the quality of its business by utilizing the results obtained.
