Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Assess the pattern of land use change in Padang City in 2010-2020. 2) Assess the factors that influence the pattern of change. 3) Assess the dynamics of land use during the same period. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach with total sampling in all sub-districts in Padang City. Data analysis was conducted using spatial technique analysis (GIS) with overlay in ArcGIS and multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS. The results showed that: 1) In 2015, Padang City formed a uniform pattern, while in 2020 the pattern formed was random. 2) Factors that influence land use include population growth (1.6% in 2010-2015 and 0.84% in 2015-2020), population density (1,206 people/km² in 2010, 1,299 people/km² in 2015, and 1,308 people/km² in 2020), and the availability of socio-economic facilities. 3) Land use change from 2010 to 2020 shows a decrease in land area from 68,608.18 ha (2010) to 60,855.51 ha (2020), with an increase in organization and a decrease in dryland agriculture and primary dryland forest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the land suitability class for oil palm plantations in the peat area of Mekar Sari Village, Pasir Sakti District, East Lampung Regency. The research method used is a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population is the entire peat area of Mekar Sari Village. Sampling using technique puprposive sampling. Sampling was carried out according to the results of the unit map which is a combination of several maps, namely geological maps, soil types, slope and land use. Data collection techniques include primary and secondary data resulting from field observations and laboratory tests, the soil is analyzed using the methods scoring (grading) with addition/subtraction techniques. The results showed that land sample 1, land sample 2, land sample 3, land sample 4, land sample 5, land sample 6, land sample 7, and land sample 8 fall into the S1 class category (very suitable).

Abstract

Over a period of 10 years, there has been an increase in the population in Bandar Lampung City which has caused changes in land cover. As a result, surface temperatures have increased, especially in urban areas. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the distribution and effect of changes in land cover on surface temperatures. Remote sensing methods were used to calculate the spatial distribution of surface temperatures and to calculate changes in the area of vegetation index values, built-up land indexes, and humidity indexes in Bandar Lampung City in 2013 and 2023. The results showed an increase in surface temperature of 1.92℃. In 2013, the average temperature was 25℃ and increased in 2023 to 26.92℃. Compared to 2013, the temperature distribution area (26-28℃) has expanded by around 8673.39 Ha spread throughout Bandar Lampung City. Based on the results of the coefficient correlation analysis, it is known that the increase in surface temperature is significantly due to changes in land cover, especially by the building index (NDBI), with a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.545 for 2013 and 0.5133 for 2023.

Abstract

Every year, Bandung Regency often sustains windstorms and strong winds. Based on previous research, the disaster events formed a clustered pattern around the south of the Saguling Reservoir to the northwest-north, some of which were found in East Bandung Regency. Over the last 10 years, the eastern part of Bandung Regency has been hit by 72 windstorms. Causing people injuries, suffering, displacement, and damage property. The main objective of this study is to determine and analyze the level of windstorm hazards and identify the level of affected area from windstorm hazard in the eastern part of Bandung Regency. This research as a whole uses the Geographic Information System method in the form of overlays, weighting, and scoring, as well as remote sensing methods which are used as data providers - data parameters for the level of windstorm hazard including data on a slope, surface temperature and land cover. The results showed that East Bandung Regency had a low to high hazard level with a moderate hazard level being the widest hazard level of 407.72 km2 followed by the second widest class, namely a high hazard level of 317.42 km2 and a low hazard class of 33.27 km2. The distribution of affected area from windstrom hazard resulted in 9 classification classes with the classification being the first order to be considered namely the level of population density and the level of danger (high, high). There are two sub-district with the with the classification (high, high) are Cileunyi District and Majalaya District.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of the use of programs and activities in the spatial structure and spatial pattern of Pringsewu Regency for 2017-2021. In this study using the Scoring and Weighting Methods to determine the suitability and quality values of spatial use in terms of spatial structure and spatial patterns in Pringsewu Regency in 2017-2021, after obtaining the weighting percentage, it can be put into GIS analysis. So the results of the study show that the suitability of spatial use in 2017-2019 and 2020-2021 has an increase in the suitability of spatial use up to 8.07% with an average weight percentage of 37.34%, namely spatial planning is not in accordance with spatial planning and affects the quality of spatial planning. The incompatibility of spatial planning with the Pringsewu District Spatial Planning is due to the influence of local government policies, investors and the community within it. The consistent use of space is implemented in Sukoharjo District, Gadingrejo District, Pagelaran District, Pringsewu District, and Ambarawa. So that policies are needed that are in line between the government and regional spatial planning so that they are sustainable and able to improve the quality of sustainable spatial planning in Pringsewu Regency as one of the areas planned to become a fast-growing area in Lampung Province.
