Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 has spread rapidly, causing a severe health crisis worldwide, including Indonesia. As is well known, due to Indonesia’s diverse population, there are differences in the number of cases between cities. Therefore, a distribution clustering process is needed to develop a map of Covid-19 cases which aims to enable optimal handling of this pandemic. In this study, DBSCAN was used for the clustering process of Covid-19 spread on Palopo city. Clustering using the DBSCAN algorithm is needed to find out the clusters that are formed and the location of Covid-19 spread in certain areas. The result of clustering using DBSCAN show that the largest cluster has a total 0f 432 cases that occurred throughout the time period with an average of 15 cases per day. After visualization, the most distribution of Covid-19 was in the central area of Palopo City and concentrated in Wara District with 250 cases.

Abstract

The DCS SCADA course is one of the latest courses for the 2022 curriculum at Politeknik ATI Makassar. This course has case study-based learning from the industrial world and involves very expensive instrumentation devices for Real Plant, so a Teaching Module with factory i/o was created. This research aims to develop a DCS SCADA Teaching Module based on the Water Level Control case using Labview and Factory I/O. The virtual plant uses a water tank with instruments consisting of two control valves, namely the fill valve and the discharge valve, and two transducers, namely the level meter and the flow meter. To connect the factory I/O to NI Labview, the open protocol Modbus Ethernet is used. Based on the testing results, the calibration for the level measurement has an accuracy of 99.59% and a precision of 0.69 % with the interpolation y = 0.301x -0.536 for a 100 % correlation. For the system response with SP = 150 without disturbance, the PID parameters should be set to Kp = 25, Ti = 0.1, and Td = 0 with a system response consisting of Rise Time = 396 seconds, no Overshoot, Settling Time = 430 seconds, and Steady state error = 0.566 cm. For the system response with SP = 150 with a DV = 50 percent disturbance, the PID parameters should be set to Kp = 25, Ti = 0.1, and Td = 0 with a system response consisting of Rise Time = 382 seconds, no Overshoot, Settling Time = 462 seconds, and Steady state error = 1.469 cm.

Abstract

The amil zakat agency is a zakat management institution whose job is to receive and distribute zakat, infaq, and alms to people in need. In several sub-districts in Blitar Regency, the zakat, infaq, and alms management systems, in this case financial recording, financial reporting, and all matters relating to the entry and exit of money are still carried out using a paper-based recording system. Storing data in the form of reports printed on paper is considered insecure, because it could be that the accumulation of reports from year to year will cause the data to become obsolete and even disappear. This study proposes a financial management information system as a financial management medium. The purpose of this research is to develop an Android-based financial management information system as an alternative financial management medium for LAZISNU managers and to determine product feasibility. The research and development methodology used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). This methodology covers all matters related to development to produce quality software. Based on the trials, the results obtained were 82.5 % from software experts, 90.5 % from material experts, and 86.5 % from user field tests. Based on these results, an Android-based financial management information system is feasible to use as a financial management medium with an average validation value of 86.5 %.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there are two sign languages utilized by the deaf community, SIBI and BISINDO. Unfortunately, the majority of non-deaf individuals and deaf companions are not proficient in sign language. To address this communication gap, information systems can play a pivotal role in recognizing sign language speech. Recently, researchers conducted a study using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm to predict sign language for both SIBI and BISINDO datasets. The aim was to develop a model that could accurately translate sign language into written or spoken language, thus bridging the gap between deaf and non-deaf individuals. The research found that the CNN algorithm performed optimally on epoch 50 for SIBI with a testing accuracy of 93.29 %, while for BISINDO, it achieved the best result on epoch 40 with a testing accuracy of 82.32 %. These results suggest that the CNN algorithm has the potential to accurately recognize and translate sign language, thus improving communication between deaf and non-deaf individuals in Indonesia.

Abstract

The choice of major is very important to support the success of students in completing their studies well and on time. However, this is an important issue because, based on research by the Indonesia Career Center Network (ICCN) in 2017, 87 % of Indonesian students admit that the majors they chose do not suit their interests. And 71.7 % of workers have a profession that is not in accordance with their education. The obstacle faced by prospective students when choosing a major is that they do not know their interests, talents, and potential. Therefore, a system was created that could provide suggestions for majors that match the interests of prospective students. An expert system with the forward chaining method is used in the system. The method used in making this expert system application is the forward chaining method. This expert system process accepts the choices that are already available and have been filled in by the user. And the results of this expert system provide a solution for selecting majors based on the interests of prospective students. So that prospective students can determine the right major. From the results of the implementation and trials that have been carried out by researchers, a probability value is obtained that reaches 100 %, indicating that the system is functioning properly, and as many as 94 % of respondents stated that they strongly agree that the use of this application can help make it easier to determine majors at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sinjai.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an engine start system using fingerprints and voice commands to turn on and turn off Arduino-based motorcycle controlled using an Android smartphone. This engine start system is designed using Arduino Uno as the main part which is then assembled with devices such as the HC-05 Bluetooth module to connect the Android application with the microcontroller on the motorbike, the FP10MA fingerprint, relay and speaker which are installed on the motorbike's electrical parts. Making the starter engine system on this motorbike is to make it easier for users to turn on the motorbike without using a key so that they only use voice commands through an application found on an Android smartphone. In the security section, fingerprints are used as a substitute for manual ignition on motorbikes. The results of a series of engine start system tests show that the engine start security system using a fringerprint only takes 2 seconds to start the engine and 3 seconds by using a voice command via bluetooth HC-05 and is able to start from a distance of 16 meters which is controlled via a smartphone.
