Abstract

Using electric corn threshers is a significant innovation in improving post-harvest efficiency for small-scale corn farmers. This tool increases efficiency and productivity, allowing farmers to process their crops faster and less laboriously. This article explores electric corn threshers' technical and economic aspects, including their design, operational performance, and impact on harvest efficiency and farmer productivity. The review highlights this technology's key benefits and challenges faced in its implementation and provides recommendations for further development to support more sustainable corn farming in the future. The use of electric small-scale corn threshers has helped corn farmers significantly improve their post-harvest efficiency. This article reviews the technical and economic aspects of small-scale electric corn threshers, including their design, operational performance, and their impact on harvest efficiency and farmers’ economic returns. The review also explores the key benefits gained from the use of these machines, the challenges faced in their implementation, and potential technological developments that can further support the corn farming sector in the future. With a comprehensive approach, this article provides a holistic view of the contribution of electric corn threshers to improving the operational efficiency and economic sustainability of farmers.

Abstract

The rice milling industry has a strategic role in ensuring the availability of high quality rice for the community. However, the milling process often faces challenges, such as less than optimal separation of rice husks and high dust production which can have a negative impact on rice quality and worker health. To overcome this problem, this research reviews the use of cold plasma technology in rice grinding machines to increase the efficiency of separating rice husks while reducing the amount of dust produced. The results of the review show that the application of cold plasma technology can increase the efficiency of separating rice bran by reducing its adhesive force to rice grains, thereby producing better quality rice. Apart from that, this technology also contributes to reducing dust production, increasing energy efficiency and reducing operational costs. Even though it has various advantages, the implementation of this technology still faces challenges, such as high initial investment costs and the need for further research regarding its long-term impact on rice quality. With continued development and innovation, cold plasma technology has the potential to become an effective and sustainable solution in the modernization of the rice milling industry.

Abstract

This review discusses the performance and efficiency of water pumps equipped with automatic sensors to increase operational efficiency in various industrial and household sectors. Water pumps play an important role in water distribution systems, but the main challenges that often arise are high energy consumption and performance problems. This research explores the integration of automated sensors that can monitor and regulate pump performance in real time, enabling adjustments according to dynamic operational conditions. By using sensors to measure important parameters such as pressure, flow and temperature, this system can increase energy efficiency and prevent pump damage in the first place. Research findings show that use of this technology can provide significant energy savings, extend pump life, and improve overall system efficiency. This research provides practical solutions for industry in optimizing water pumping systems more efficiently and environmentally friendly.

Abstract

Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, industri wisata akuakultur semakin berkembang seiring dengan meningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap aktivitas wisata berbasis alam. Penerapan teknologi informasi (TI) dapat meningkatkan pengelolaan dan kualitas wisata akuakultur, terutama dalam aspek pakan ikan, yang berpengaruh terhadap kualitas produk dan daya tarik wisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan TI dalam pengelolaan kualitas pakan ikan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan daya tarik wisata akuakultur. Dengan menggunakan sistem berbasis TI, pengelolaan pakan ikan dapat dilakukan dengan lebih efisien, meningkatkan kesehatan ikan, dan pada akhirnya meningkatkan pengalaman wisatawan. Penelitian ini juga membahas berbagai teknologi yang dapat diterapkan dalam proses produksi pakan ikan serta dampaknya terhadap kualitas produk akuakultur dan daya tarik wisata.

Abstract

 This study aims to design and implement a PID-based temperature control system for a bean dryer using a Modicon M580 PLC and three separate control valves for each drying zone. This system replaces the previous method, which used only one control valve for all zones. Testing results showed that the average temperature control accuracy in Zone 1 was 93.77%, Zone 2 was 99.12%, and Zone 3 was 91.26%. After installing three control valves, the system's accuracy improved in each zone, with accuracy increases of 4.1% in Zone 1, 5.7% in Zone 2, and 2.8% in Zone 3 compared to the previous setup. These results indicate that the system significantly enhances temperature stability and improves the efficiency of the cocoa bean drying process.

Abstract

 The increasing demand for sustainable energy has encouraged the use of solar power systems (PLTS) in households; however, the lack of adequate monitoring systems hinders direct assessment of performance. This study designs a real-time monitoring system based on electrical parameters to evaluate the performance of solar panels using the Research and Development (R&D) method, including system design, device assembly, and testing. The ESP32 microcontroller is used as the main control unit, with the PZEM-017 sensor for measuring DC power and the PZEM-004T sensor for AC power. Data is displayed through a web application developed with PHP and MySQL. The results show that the system can accurately display voltage, current, power, and energy, with an average error rate of 2.3% for the DC sensor and 0.3% for the AC sensor, and overall accuracy above 95%. Data transmission runs smoothly. The system is proven effective for energy monitoring in smart homes and has the potential to be enhanced with features such as automatic notifications and AI-based data analysis.

Abstract

The fried shallot business has significant market potential; however, production processes that still rely on manual labor can lead to inefficiency, inconsistency, and suboptimal production results. To address these issues, this study aims to design and develop an automatic onion slicing machine based on a microcontroller and the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve efficiency and monitor the fried shallot production process. The device is equipped with a microcontroller that controls the onion slicing mechanism in real time via a web- or mobile-based application. The results of this research are expected to help fried shallot entrepreneurs increase productivity, reduce human error, and accelerate the production process. Abstract

Abstrak MUHAMMAD DZUL NIZHAR. 21OSP586. Sistem Monitoring Suhu Dan Kelembaban Pada Ruang Inkubasi Miselium Jamur Tiram Berbasis Internet Of Things (Iot). Dibawah bimbingan ibu Wahidah, sebagai pembimbing I dan bapak Muhammad Fadli Azis, sebagai pembimbing II. Ruangan inkubasi Miselium jamur tiram memerlukan kondisi suhu dan kelembaban yang stabil agar Miselium dapat tumbuh optimal. Ketidaksesuaian parameter lingkungan ini dapat menghambat pertumbuhan dan meningkatkan risiko kontaminasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem monitoring suhu dan kelembaban berbasis Internet Of Things (IoT) menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32. Sistem ini dilengkapi dengan dua sensor DHT22, buzzer sebagai indikator peringatan, LCD I2C untuk tampilan lokal, platform Blynk untuk pemantauan real-time, serta integrasi dengan Google Spreadsheet untuk pencatatan data otomatis. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sensor DHT22 memiliki tingkat akurasi tinggi dengan rata-rata error suhu sebesar 0,93% dan kelembaban sebesar 5,77%. Sistem berhasil memberikan peringatan melalui buzzer ketika suhu dan kelembaban berada di luar batas ideal. Selain itu, data dapat dipantau secara langsung melalui aplikasi maupun direkam untuk analisis lebih lanjut. Dengan sistem ini, pelaku usaha jamur tiram dapat mengontrol kondisi ruang inkubasi secara efisien dan berbasis data, sehingga mendukung peningkatan produktivitas dan kualitas hasil budidaya.

Abstract

Kebersihan lingkungan kerja menjadi aspek penting yang memengaruhi kenyamanan dan produktivitas, khususnya di sektor perhotelan. Salah satu kendala yang sering ditemui adalah tempat sampah konvensional yang mengharuskan sentuhan langsung, sehingga berpotensi menyebarkan bakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem tempat sampah otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang dapat membuka tutup secara otomatis dan mengirimkan notifikasi melalui aplikasi Discord Ketika tempat sampah telah penuh. Sistem ini menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 sebagai pusat kendali, dua sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04 untuk mendeteksi gerakan dan kapasitas sampah, serta motor servo SG90 untuk membuka dan menutup penutup tempat sampah. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi objek hingga jarak maksimal 30 cm dan memberikan notifikasi otomatis saat kapasitas sampah dari sensor berjarak 6 cm. Dengan penerapan teknologi ini, proses pembuangan dan pemantauan sampah menjadi lebih baik, dan mendukung digitalisasi pelayanan kebersihan di lingkungan hotel. Abstract

PT. Bahana Security Sistem is a company engaged in the provision and management of parking systems. Currently, the company relies on proprietary parking control systems provided by third-party suppliers, which cannot be modified or tailored to meet specific operational requirements. This study presents the design and development of a barrier gate control system based on the ESP32 microcontroller for PT. Bahana Security Sistem. The system is designed to control the barrier gate using two access control methods: Push Button and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). An experimental approach was adopted, consisting of system design, hardware implementation, testing, and performance evaluation. The results indicate that the proposed system performs effectively, achieving a 100% success rate in operating the barrier gate using both access methods. Based on the test results, the developed system meets the operational needs of PT. Bahana Security Sistem.
