Abstract

Lack of understanding regarding electrical power usage is a common problem that often occurs. Consumers only know the amount of electricity used when they receive their monthly bill, which often causes confusion or dissatisfaction with the bill value which is considered unreasonable or too high. The aim of this research is to monitor electrical energy usage in real time and be able to display the costs of electrical energy usage. This protection system is designed using the PZEM-004t current sensor and ESP-32 microcontroller package. The reading of electrical quantities (voltage, current, active power, energy) carried out by the PZEM-004t sensor is then sent to the microcontroller, on the microcontroller the value of the electrical quantity is converted into rupiah prices and displayed on the LCD display. Monitoring via smartphone is made using a simple application creation platform, namely MIT App Inventor, connected to the internet network with a microcontroller so that electrical energy use can be monitored via smartphone. The test results show that the tool that has been created is capable of displaying the cost of electrical energy usage in accordance with the electricity tariff calculation of 900 Watts. and has a voltage measurement accuracy level of 99.4% and a current measurement accuracy level of 92.1%. If an overcurrent or short circuit occurs, the relay will disconnect the load from the PLN source. This condition will remain Off until the load returns to normal. If the load is reduced until the current is below the nominal current value of the current sensor that has been set, the relay will reconnect and the system will return to normal. In abnormal circuit conditions, before the relay breaks the circuit, the buzzer will sound.

Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) have received much attention recently as innovative and valuable technology. With the growth of AR and VR research, a comprehensive examination is required. From the standpoint of bibliometrics, this study conducts a comprehensive analysis of AR and VR papers from 1993 to 2022. A total of 6,785 publications are obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database and loaded into the professional science mapping tools VOSviewer and Cite Space through preprocessing. The publishing structures are examined using annual publications and the publications of the most productive countries/regions, institutions, and authors. Afterward, the co-citation networks of countries/regions, institutions, authors, and articles are visualized using VOSviewer. Their citation structure and the most influential examples are investigated further. Finally, VOSviewer depicts the collaboration networks of countries/regions, institutions, and writers. Cite Space utilizes timeline analysis and keyword citation burst detection to identify hotspots and research trends. Finally, this study explains a basic understanding of AR and VR for scholars and a detailed examination of AR and VR for future research in this area.

Abstract

The Office of the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of Buton Regency has a website, namely the Regional Development Design Data Processing Information System (SIPAPEDA) where the SIPAPEDA Website is used to input data as well as an information system from each office in Buton Regency. With the large number of users of the Website, the security on the Website must be improved. Based on these problems, the security of the SIPAPEDA website is improved by using the Bcrypt algorithm and using One Time Password (OTP) as verification at login. With the aim of securing the Sipapeda Website of Buton Regency using the Bcrypt Algorithm with the One Time Password (OTP) Authentication Method. In this study using data collection methods, namely observations, interviews and literature and data analysis that refers to the types of data and data sources. This study resulted in the Sipapeda website being able to increase its security using the Bcrypt algorithm, as well as security in the login process requiring OnTime Password verification.

Abstract

The fish scales used at fish auctions, especially at the Bentenge Bulukumba fish auction, generally still use analog scales, which only show the weight of the fish being weighed. The aim of this research is to create a digital fish scale based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that can be monitored by Thingspeak. This scale is designed to not only display the weight, but also the name and price of the fish being weighed. This tool uses a NodeMCu ESP32 as a controller, an HX711 loadcell sensor as a weight sensor, Thingspeak and SDCard to store weighing result data, a keypad to select a menu of objects to be weighed, an LCD to display the name, weight and price of the fish. The weighing results can be monitored by fish sales business owners wherever they are. From the results of testing the tool, it was found that the accuracy of the fish weight measurement results was 98.83%, and the accuracy of calculating the price of fish on the SDCard display against the price based on the results of the loadcell sensor scales on the tool was 99.998%. The data from the instrument measurements in the form of the name, weight and price of the fish on the LCD display is in accordance with the data in the form of a graph containing the weight and weighing time sent to the Thingspeak platform, as well as data in the form of the date, weighing time, name, weight and price of the fish stored on the SDCard

Abstract

This research aims to develop System Integration using Siemens S71200 PLC and OMRON CP1L-L20DR-A PLC based on Ethernet and KepServerEx. It is a deductive quantitative research employing an experimental method through several stages, starting from the literature study phase, system requirement analysis phase, and testing phase, both partially and in an integrated manner. The research was conducted at the Control and Automation Laboratory at ATI Makassar Polytechnic, spanning from July to September 2023. It is part of a laboratory research project involving four students as part of their final assignment. Research instruments utilized include Siemens S71200 AC/DC/RLY PLC trainer modules, OMRON CP1L-L20DR-A PLC trainer modules with CP1W CIF41, Switch, and a PC installed with TIA Portal, CX One (including CX Programmer and CX Server), KepServerEx, Aveva Intouch HMI, and Factory I/O applications. The research has successfully developed both in terms of protocol by utilizing advanced tag features in the KepServerEx application and in terms of HMI using Script features in the Aveva Intouch HMI application. Partial testing results regarding network aspects and OPC tag quality showed a 100% connection rate with Good data quality. Integrated testing results, both in terms of protocol and HMI, have also successfully integrated the devices from the Omron PLC to Factory I/O to Siemens PLC.

Abstract

The Polytechnic ATI Makassar emphasizes the importance of producing D3 graduates who meet industry needs through the Professional Certification Institute (LSP), which has developed 42 certification schemes for various study programs, including Mechanical System Automation. One prominent scheme is the Pneumatic Control System Operation Cluster, which refers to Indonesia's national competency standards in the processing industry. The ultimate goal is to prepare graduates to design Industrial Automation Systems, in line with the Making Indonesia 4.0 initiative. This research aims to develop a competency test tool based on IIoT, upgrading technology from conventional pneumatics to an electro-pneumatic system using PLC and a web-based HMI user interface using Node-Red. The research adopts a Research and Development (RnD) methodology with the DEDTE (Define, Explore, Design, Test, Evaluate) approach. The case studied is a Material Handling System using two cylinders with a sequence of A+ B+ A- B-, involving 16 I/O tags for the PLC. The initial state diagram design resulted in four states, which were then converted into five networks in the form of ladder diagrams. Kepware OPC Server was used to connect PLC tags to Node-Red, with communication test results showing Good Quality. The system development results demonstrate that the IIoT-based Pneumatic Control System can be controlled and monitored via a smartphone by accessing the Node-Red-based Web HMI

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan ChatGPT dan Wokwi dalam desain dan simulasi produk elektronik berbasis Arduino, dengan tujuan meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam pengembangan proyek berbasis mikrokontroler. ChatGPT digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam penulisan kode, debugging, serta memberikan solusi terkait desain perangkat keras, sementara Wokwi menyediakan platform simulasi berbasis web yang memungkinkan pengujian rangkaian elektronik secara virtual. Melalui integrasi kedua platform ini, proses desain dapat dilakukan lebih cepat, dengan kesalahan yang lebih sedikit, dan memungkinkan verifikasi yang lebih mudah. Penelitian ini diterapkan pada mata kuliah Mikrokontroler dan Sistem Manufaktur Diskrit di Politeknik ATI Makassar, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan praktis kepada mahasiswa dalam merancang dan mengembangkan sistem berbasis mikrokontroler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ChatGPT dan Wokwi dapat meningkatkan produktivitas, mempercepat proses desain, serta mengurangi pemborosan material dan waktu, memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mendukung pengembangan keterampilan praktis dalam era industri 4.0

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan sistem bel kuis sederhana dengan menggunakan PLC OMRON CP1L-L20DR-A dan SCADA CX-Supervisor. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan dasar-dasar Ladder Logic seperti gate logic, latching, interlock, dan MCR dalam desain sistem kontrol otomatis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deduktif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimental, yang melibatkan beberapa tahap, mulai dari studi literatur, analisis kebutuhan sistem, hingga pengujian sistem secara parsial dan terintegrasi. Pengujian dilakukan untuk memastikan kinerja yang optimal pada tiga komponen utama sistem: perangkat keras, ladder diagram, dan HMI SCADA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berfungsi sesuai dengan desain yang telah ditentukan, dengan pengendalian input-output yang tepat dan interaksi pengguna yang efektif melalui HMI. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang pemrograman PLC dan SCADA serta berpotensi membuka jalan untuk pengembangan aplikasi otomatisasi yang lebih kompleks di masa depan

Abstract

Kebutuhan konsumen yang terus menerus meningkat seiring waktu terhadap produk Penggilingan padi merupakan salah satu proses penting dalam industri pertanian untuk menghasilkan beras yang siap konsumsi. Mesin penggiling yang efisien dan memiliki daya tahan yang baik dibutuhkan dalam proses ini. Salah satu solusi yang digunakan untuk menggerakkan mesin penggiling padi adalah motor diesel sebagai penggerak utama. Motor diesel dipilih karena tenaga besar yang dihasilkannya serta efisiensi bahan bakar yang relatif tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan mesin berbahan bakar lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meninjau pemanfaatan motor diesel sebagai penggerak mesin penggiling padi, dengan fokus pada kinerja mesin, efisiensi bahan bakar, dan dampaknya terhadap produktivitas penggilingan. Diharapkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran yang jelas mengenai potensi penggunaan motor diesel dalam meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses penggilingan padi, serta memberikan rekomendasi teknis yang dapat diterapkan oleh pengusaha penggilingan padi.

Abstract

Kebutuhan konsumen yang terus menerus meningkat seiring waktu terhadap produk pangan sehingga mendorong terobosan baru dalam penyempurnaan mesin yang mampu menyokong pengoptimalan proses produksi. Salah satu elemen pokok dalam sistem mekanik industri adalah sistem motor penggerak, yang menjalankan fungsi penting dalam menentukan kinerja, efisiensi, dan tingkat keamanan mesin tersebut. Artikel ini mengevaluasi berbagai sistem motor penggerak dengan mengacu pada hasil studi literatur, dengan fokus pada evaluasi kinerja, efisiensi energi, dan aspek keselamatan. Studi ini berfokus pada analisis berbagai jenis motor penggerak, seperti motor listrik AC/DC, motor bakar, dan motor diesel. Berdasarkan hasil studi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemilihan jenis motor yang tepat mampu mengembangkan strategi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan penggunaan energi yang optimal. Selain itu, integrasi teknologi keamanan yang mutakhir juga dapat mengurangi potensi terjadinya kecelakaan di tempat kerja. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti biaya awal yang tinggi dan kebutuhan perawatan rutin tetap menjadi perhatian utama. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pengembangan mesin industri yang lebih aman dan efisien, sekaligus mampu memenuhi kebutuhan industri pangan di era modern.
