Abstract

Lessons are well planned by the teacher will provide good results as well. The ability to plan learning began in studied by prospective teachers in the university level biology courses Learning Program Development Biology. This course is intended to provide supplies for students as prospective teachers so that later on the activities of Field Education or at the time of becoming a teacher of their own competence in making the learning plan. Based on the monitoring results of Field Education students still can not make a good learning plan with them also complained of a given task so that they need guidance in the completion of the task. Therefore perform the process of learning by doing method of guided exercises. And I want to know how students' perceptions of learning by using Method Exercise Course Guided in Education Program Development Biology Subject at UMMY Solok. This research is a descriptive study with a sample of students of Biology is the fifth semester of the school year 2015/2016 totaling 19 people in Biology Education Program UMMY Solok which has made the learning process by using the Guided Training Methods In Learning Course Development Biology Program at UMMY Solok. The sampling technique using total sampling. To obtain the data necessary data collection techniques used in the form of a questionnaire. The type of questionnaire used type of questionnaire enclosed with the form of rating scale. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on research data shows that students UMMY Solok has a good perception once in learning by using Guided Training Methods In Learning Course Development Biology Program at UMMY Solok.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the perception of the social competence for biology teacher candidates. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Research subjects were determined by using purpose sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, filling out questionnaires, and document studies. The validity of the data was determined using source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by means of data reduction, data display, and conclusion or verification. The results showed that the perception on the social competence of biology teacher candidates was in the good category. This research can be used as a basis for conducting research related to teacher competence in the future.

Abstract

Amphibia merupakan jenis komoditi ekspor yang cukup besar, karena indonesia mengekspor katak hingga ribuan ton tiap tahunnya. Katak-katak yang diekspor adalah jenis katak berbadan besar yang diperoleh dari pembudidayaan dan ditangkap langsung dari habitatnya. Sementara, jenis-jenis katak berbadab besar pada umumnya dari kelompok famili Dicroglosidae. Kawasan solok selatan merupakan bagian dari kawasan taman nasional kerinci seblat yaitu zona pemanfaatan. Pada daerah ini ditemukan banyak sekali jenis-jenis katak, termasuk jenis dari Dicroglossidae. Pencarian Amphibia dengan metode visual ecounter survey (VES) difokuskan pada jalur yang sudah ditentukan, dengan cara berjalan pada suatu lokasi yang diduga banyak Amphibianya pada malam hari dari pukul 18.00 - 23.00 WIB. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 5 spesies Dicroglosidae di Zona Pemanfaatan di Kawasan TNKS Solok Selatan, diantaranya Fejervarya limnocharis, Limnonectes ingeri, Limnonectes macrodon, Limnonectes ibanorum, Limnonectes shompenorum

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce biology learning materials oriented by Problem Based Learning (PBL) model containing character on circulation system topic for senior high school in terms of student activities. This research is a development research using Plomp development model. This model consists of 3 phases, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, dan assessment phase. Previous research has been done in practicality test at assessment phase. In this study continued on the assessment phase, namely effectiveness test in terms of student activities. The study was conducted in student of second years which one of Senior High School in Indonesia. The research instrument used observation sheet of student activity. Data analysis techniques using the formula percentage. The results showed that the average value of student activity was 94.05 with very effective category. It can be concluded that biology learning material oriented by PBL model containing character on circulation system topic for senior high school has been effective in terms of student activity

Abstract

Serangga pengunjung bunga memiliki peran yang sangat penting, karena beberapa spesies serangga pengunjung bunga berperan sebagai agen penyerbuk pada tanaman kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari keanekaragaman serangga pengunjung bunga pada tanaman kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Nagari Sungai Dareh, Gunung Selasih, IV Koto, Kec. Pulau Punjung, Kab. Dharmasraya dari bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2017. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan hand collecting, insect net, dan yellow pan trap. Data keanekaragaman spesies dianalisis menggunakan indeks Shannon Wiener, kemerataan spesies menggunakan indeks Simpson serta dominasi spesies menggunakan indeks nilai penting. Hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 25.900 individu, 10 ordo dan 30 famili. Indeks keanekaragaman pada bunga jantan adalah 0,52 dan indeks keanekaragaman pada bunga betina adalah 0,96. Indeks kemerataan pada bunga jantan yakni 0,27 dan kemerataan bunga betina yakni 0,32. Indeks keanekaragaman dan kemerataan Nagari Gunung Selasih yaitu 1,35 dan kemerataan 0,59. Dinagari IV Koto indeks keanekaragaman yakni 1,50 dan indeks kemerataan yakni 0,67 sedangkan Nagari Sungai Dareh indeks keanekaragaman yakni 1,37 dan kemarataan 0,42. Ordo Coleoptera family Curculionidae memiliki indeks nilai penting tertinggi yaitu 1,00.

Abstract

Bahan ajar yang dapat  menimbulkan kemandirian dalam belajar adalah modul.     Terdapat    berbagai    potensi    yang     dapat    dimanfaatkan    untukmengembangkan bahan ajar  yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, diantaranya pada materi ekosistem untuk siswa SMA kelas X. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengembangkan modul biologi berbasis CTL yang valid, praktis dan efektif pada materi ekosistem. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Model dan prosedur pengembangan menggunakan 4-D (four-D-Model) terdiri dari tahap define,  design,  develop  dan disseminate. Pada tahap  define dilakukan analisis kurikulum dan analisis siswa. Pada tahap design dilakukan perancangan modul. Pada tahap develop dilakukan validasi dan uji coba terbatas pada siswa SMAN 3Payakumbuh kelas X, untuk mengetahui praktikalitas dan efektifitas modul yangdikembangkan. Tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan sangat  valid, praktis dan efektif. Nilai dari validasi adalah 88,06% (sangat valid), praktikalitas menurut guru sebesar 3,44% (praktis) dan menurut siswa sebesar 3,43% (praktis) hasil uji efektivitas menunjukkan  bahwa  siswa  aktif  belajar  dan  mendapatkan  hasil  belajar  yang tuntas.

Abstract

 Teaching materials are part of all forms of written materials used to help the teachers in carrying out learning activities. A professional teacher is also required to produce teaching materials. Based on the observation, the teachers only utilize teaching materials in the form of a worksheet (LKS). LKS used for teaching is not in accordance with the curriculum needed and many images are not clearly visible. Thus, it has been developed teaching material in form of Student Worksheet (LKS) on Living Organizational System topic that has done validity test with validation result is 85.27% (criterion is very valid). For next, research to test the practicality which is a continued of the development stage. This research is a research development (Research and Development) with four D models. Data obtained are analyzed by descriptive analysis. From the result of the research, the value of practicality from teachers is 94,94% (very practical) and from a student is 87,01% (very practical). Then it can be concluded LKS based on learning cycle 5-e approach on Living Organization System topic developed is very practical.

Abstract

The aims of this research to find out the kind of insects that visited red chili inblooming phase to be used a validity of teaching material. This research isdevelopment research by descriptive with the method of collecting insects thatvisited red chili and development research with 4D models that modifiy fromThiagarajan et al., (1975), arrive developt phase which is expert judge. Thedata was processing and analyzed with qualitatively and descriptive. Basedon the research from type of goer insects, it was found there are 14 species.With results from development research was found criteria very valid(83,1%). Related to this research it can be concluded that types of goerinsects for red chili which contribute to atlas in role of insects for plantstopics is reasonable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk menganalisis struktur komunitas perifiton yaitu kepadatan, keanekaragaman, kesamaan  dan menganalisis kimia dan faktor fisik perairan. Metode pengambilan sampel yaitu porpusive sampling, dilakukan pada tiga stasiun, setiap stasiun diambil secara acak. Sampel Perifiton diambil dengan mengambil substrat batu berukuran sekitar 10x10 cm, selanjutnya substrat dibersihkan menggunakan kuas di dalam bak pitcher dan kemudian disaring dengan plankton net No. 15. Hasil saringan dimasukkan ke dalam botol sampel dan diberi formalin sebanyak 3 tetes, selanjutnya dilakukan identifikasi.   faktor fisik dan kimia yang diukur suhu air, pH air,   warna air, oksigen terlarut (DO), BOD, CO2 bebas dan isi Hg (merkuri). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perifiton   yang ditemukan sebanyak 11 genus yang tergabung dalam 4 divisi: divisi Crysophyta, Chlorophyta, dan Cyanophyta Charrophyta. Indeks keanekaragaman (H) diperoleh dengan nilai rata-rata 0:35, indeks kesamaan (H) rata-rata 0:47,  dan  indeks dominansi (C)  rata-rata 0:13.  Kelimpahan tertinggi ditemukan pada stasiun II dari 144,0 individu/cm2 dan kelimpahan terendah ditemukan pada stasiun III sebesar 41,6 individu/cm2. faktor kimia lebih lanjut untuk kadar oksigen terlarut (DO) berkisar 5,25-5,96 mg / l, BOD 2,80-3,49 mg/ l, COD 47,05-78,25 mg / l, TOM 9, 61-12,10 mg / l dan kadar Merkuri (Hg) 0,098- 0,208 mg / l, suhu air berkisar antara 25-260 oC, transparansi antara 10-30 cm, kelembaban  berkisar antara 60-65 mg / l, warna air keruh, rata-rata pH air 6, dan kecepatan arus 8-15m/sec.

Abstract

This research started from the problem of low result Biology student learning, which is caused by several factors, that is: learning in one direction from the teacher to the students. Teacher becomes a major  role in the learning process (teacher centered), so that make students become passive and less active in learning, the model used by teacher less varied, when the techers explains lessons in the classroom, many students who daydream, annoy another friends and tell stories behind the class. Teacher as one determinant of the success of learning should be able to make students more active, motivated, active and  have the competence about material being taught. One model of learning that can improve student learning outcomes is a cooperative learning mode NHT type accompanied by visual media. The problem in this research is “ whether Biology student learning outcomes using cooperative learning model NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than of Biolgy students learning outcomes using cooperative learning model NHT type without visual media?”. This study aims to determine whether the result of studying Biology student using cooperative learning model NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than the results of studying Biology students using cooperative learning model NHT type without visual  media. The study population was all students of class X SMAN 4 solok city in academic year 2015/2016 which amounted to 176 people. Determine the experimental class and control class is taken by random sampling. X6 class as an experimental class with 25 studentsand classes X3 as a control class with 25 student. The findings of this study indicate that  tcount = 2,09 dan ttable = 1,68, this indicates that  tcount > ttable then the hypothesis is accepted at the  95% confidance level. Based on research result, it can be concluded that the results of studying Biology students using model cooperative learning NHT type accompanied by visual media is higher than of Biology students learning outcomes using model cooperative learning NHT type without visual media in class X SMAN 4 solok city.
