Lemma : Letters of Mathematics Education (2407-4527) (2460-1047) is a peer-refereed open-access journal which has been established for the dissemination of state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of mathematics education. This journal published twice a year (June and November) by Prodi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by minimum of two Reviewers through the double-blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal. Lemma : Letters of Mathematics Education welcomes high-quality manuscripts resulted from a research project in the scope of mathematics education, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics: Realistic Mathematics Education, Design/Development Research in Mathematics Education, PISA Task, Mathematics Ability, ICT in Mathematics Education, Lesson Study for Learning Community, and Ethnomathematics. The manuscript must be original research, written in English or Bahasa Indonesia, and not be simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

ANALISIS KESALAHAN SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA KELAS VIII DI SMP N 2 LUHAK NAN DUO KABUPATEN PASAMAN BARAT

This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This study aims to find out how the errors made by students in working on math problems in class VIII4 students at SMP N 2 Luhak Nan Duo, West Pasaman Regency. The subjects in this study were VIII4 class students at SMP N 2 Luhak Nan Duo, West Pasaman Regency. The taking of research subjects was based on the results of essay tests on mathematics learning given to all students of class VIII4, totaling 26 students. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and data validity (triangulation). The results of this study indicate that students perform Zeroing error indicators, namely (1) Careless Errors (CaE) or factual errors, students do not consider the components in the question to be known and asked the question because students are not used to doing it every time they solve problems and students are lazy to write components because According to students it takes a long time to solve the problem. (2) Concept Errors (CoE) or conceptual errors, students do not master the concepts in problem solving because students do not understand examples and calculations. (3) Application Errors (ApE) or principle errors, students do not know the formula or know the formula so that students cannot solve the problem because students are in a hurry so they forget the formula to solve the problem. And (4) Test Talking Errors (TTE) or student operating errors did not complete the answers and final conclusions because there was no concentration disturbed by the answers of friends.

PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KEGIATAN SISWA (LKS) BERBASIS PENEMUAN TERBIMBING MATERI STATISTIKA SISWA KELAS XI IPS SMA NEGERI 2 KOTO XI TARUSAN KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstrak. Kebutuhan terhadap bahan ajar yang mampu memfasilitasi dan membimbing siswa untuk belajar mandiri, memudahkan siswa menemukan serta memahami konsep dengan benar menjadi latarbelakang dari penelitian ini. Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) yang ada belum mampu membantu siswa dalam memahami dan mengingat konsep matematika dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan LKS berbasis penemuan terbimbing pada materi statistika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS matematika berbasis penemuan terbimbing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Prosedur pengembangan yang digunakan mengikuti model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu, define, design, develop, dan disseminate. LKS ini dikembangkan dengan memuat enam prinsip pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing yaitu menjelaskan tujuan, orientasi siswa pada masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, kegiatan penemuan, mempresentasikan hasil kegiatan penemuan, dan mengevaluasi. Berdasarkan analisis data disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini menghasilkan LKS berbasis penemuan terbimbing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif pada materi statistika untuk SMA kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 2 Koto XI Tarusan Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

MENGEMBANGKAN HIGHER ORDER OF THINKING SKILL MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA PADA SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN

Sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang diharapkan mampu mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia (SDM), yang dapat langsung terserap oleh dunia kerja. Situasi saat ini mengharuskan calon tenaga kerja mampu bersaing agar memperoleh kesempatan kerja. Untuk memenuhi harapan tersebut hendaknya siswa SMK memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis, logis, reflektif, metakognitif, dan berpikir kreatif yang disebut kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Kemampuan-kemampuan tersebut dibutuhkan dalam pemecahan masalah di dunia kerja. Melalui makalah ini akan dibahas tentang bagaimana mengembangkan HOTS pada siswa SMK melalui pembelajaran matematika. Pembahasan diawali dengan analisis permasalahan yang terjadi terkait pembelajaran di SMK secara umum, pembelajaran matematika SMK, analisis teori dan hasil penelitian terdahulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengkajian ini adalah metode survey, study literature dan metode deskriptif.

PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS SISWA DENGAN PENGGUNAAN STRATEGI REACT PADA SISWA SMK NEGERI 1 PAINAN

As mathematic teacher, we should be able to create an interesting and active learning, beside that she should be able to create a good competition in the class. It has positive effect to gain optimum study result. Teacher should use variation method and learning strategy in learning so that teaching and learning become easy and fun for the student. The student will be more active and have motivation to study. The implementation of REACT strategy for student of XI TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Painan is suitable to improve students activity in learning. The research is classroom action research which consist of two cycles, each cycles involve four stages : (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting. The sample of the research are 34 student. The data is collected by using observation paper. The analysis of data is done by using descriptive qualitative. The result of the students activity in asking question in cycle I is 43% and in cycle II is 54%. It means that the activity in asking question achieve avarage level. The activity in giving sugestion or giving opinion also get on avarage level in cycle 1 is 28% and in cycle II is 43%. The activity in group discussing get high level.It happened in cycle I anda cycle II .They have same percentage. It is 67% . Key words: Activity, Strategi REACT

MOTIVASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA DENGAN STRATEGI QUESTION STUDENT HAVE DISERTAI PEMBERIAN MODUL PADA PERKULIAHAN KALKULUS VEKTOR

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh motivasi belajar Kalkulus Vektor mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat yang masih rendah. Usaha yang dilakukan adalah dengan menerapkan strategi Question Student Have disertai Pemberian Modul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi yang diberikan setelah pelaksanaan perkuliahan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar mahasiswa dengan menggunakan strategi Question Student Have disertai pemberian modul sangat tinggi.

KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK SMP PADA MATERI BANGUN RUANG SISI DATAR

Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskrispikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Materi bangun ruang sisi datar merupakan salah satu materi pelajaran matematika SMP yang terdapat di kompetensi dasar kelas VIII. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX pada salah satu sekolah yang berada di Kecamatan Talagasari. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang berbentuk uraian dengan 3 indikator. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik masih tergolong sangat rendah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis didapatkan skor maksimal sebesar 38 dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 25,56 yang mana nilai tersebut belum mencapai KKM.

STUDI PENGGUNAAN HANDOUT DALAM MODEL PEMBELAJARAAN KOOPERATIF TIPE ARTIKULASI TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS X JURUSAN ADMINISTRASI PERKANTORAN (AP) SMKN 1 KOTA SOLOK

The result of student learning is low because the several factors, they are. Difficult for the student to understand the material, So that the student lazy to read and student to chat with their friend while learning. The solutions to overcome the problem is using the articulation desaign of learning and used handout to study. The purpose of this study was to determine the result of mathematics learning at the firs grade of office administration at SMKN 1 Kota Solok used handout in cooperative learning type articulation better than without used handout. This research is quasi eksperimental desaign. Population in this research is at the first grade of office administration at SMKN 1 Kota Solok 2015/2016 academic year. Sampel this research is class X office administration 1 as eksperimental class total 36 students and class X office administration 5 as control class total 36 students. Data collection in this research using test the result of mathematics learning such as essai consist 5 question. Data analisis the result of student learning got dan = 1,64 So table so hypothesis be accepted to Can be concluded that the result of mathematics learning at the firs grade of office administration at SMKN 1 Kota Solok used handout in cooperative learning type articulation better than without used handout.

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN RECIPROCAL TEACHING BERBANTUAN MODUL DESAIN DIDAKTIS TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SMP KELAS VIII

This research have a main problem is about the low understanding of mathematical concepts of students. This can be seen from the indicator of interpretation, namely when given a matter of concept understanding in the form of a description, the students just answer the question without any description of the steps in doing the questions or identifying the data in the questions. In addition, schools also have not maximized the use of learning media. Looking at these problems, the authors are interested in applying the Reciprocal Teaching model assisted with didactic design modules to increase understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). The population in this study were all eighth grade students of 7th KOTABUMI SMP Negeri 2018/2019. The taking of sample was done randomly for random class. Data collection techniques are in the form of observations, interviews and question tests of mathematical concept understanding. The testing of data was done by the Lilifors method for normality tests and Barlett's method to test homogeneity. The analysis technique used in this study is the analysis of one-way variant with unequal cells.The testing of this hypothesis uses a one-way variance analysis with unequal cells, with a significant level of 0.05 from the results of the data obtained Fobs = 51.39948 and Ftable = 3.098. Fobs value> Ftable then H0 is rejected. This means that there is the influence of Reciprocal Teaching learning model assisted by the didactic design module to increase understanding of mathematical concepts of students. Based on the results of multiple comparisons it can be concluded that the Reciprocal Teaching learning model assisted with the didactic design module is better than the conventional model, but not better than the Reciprocal Teaching model. ANALISIS KESALAHAN PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DI KELAS XI IPA SMAN 1 GUNUNG TULEH

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kesalahan yang dilakukan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah matematika khususnya soal kontekstual pada materi Program Linier dan mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskripstif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Gunung Tuleh yang telah dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah matematika, peserta didik kelompok tinggi melakukan kesalahan jenis B, C, dan D, kelompok sedang melakukan kesalahan jenis A, B, dan C, kelompok rendah melakukan kesalahan jenis A, B, C, dan D. Penyebab terjadinya kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut adalah karena peserta didik belum bisa memahami dan menguasai materi pelajaran dengan baik, peserta didik tidak terbiasa mengerjakan soal pemecahan masalah matematika khusunya soal kontekstual. Peserta didik belum bisa mengaitkan permasalahan dengan konsep dan prinsip matematika yang relevan, peserta didik kurang teliti, ceroboh, dan terburu-buru saat mengerjakan soal

PELATIHAN JARIMATIKA PERKALIAN BAGI GURU-GURU DI SDN 02 LUBUK BUAYA

Matematika merupakan ilmu yang sangat erat hubungannya dengan kehidupan sehari- hari dan merupakan konsep dasar bagi ilmu-ilmu lain. akan tetapi banyak guru yang mengeluh pada saat mempelajari matematika diantaranya guru kurang cekatan dan kurang terampil dalam menyelesaikan persoalan yang berhubungan dengan berhitung khususnya menyelesaikan persoalan dalam materi perkalian. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa pelatihan kepada Guru-guru SDN 02 Lubuk Buaya dengan materi jarimatika perkalian, diharapkan dengan melatih Guru-Guru, nantinya akan berdampak kepada kemampuan guru dalam memahami konsep-konsep dasar Matematika. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 4 kali pertemuan. Pesertanya adalah Guru- Guru SDN 02 Lubuk Buaya. Selama kegiatan berlangsung dapat dilihat semangat dan antusias yang tinggi dari peserta. Hasil evaluasi yang diadakan, menyatakan bahwa peserta sangat puas dengan hasil pelatihan ini dan menginginkan pelatihan ini dilanjutkan lagi.
