Abstract

The sukuk market in Indonesia is still facing problems, even though Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country. One of the problems that hinders the development of the sukuk market is the poor understanding of sukuk. Therefore, training is needed to improve the community’s understanding of sukuk. To be more effective, the training should be aimed at parties that influence the community, such as mosque administrators. With this training, mosque administrators’ understanding of sukuk can be increased, and mosque administrators can pass on this understanding to a wider community. To carry out the training, the UPN Veteran Jakarta community service team collaborated with the Mosque Administrator Forum of Ministries/Institutions and SOEs to socialize sukuk for mosque administrators. The community service activity used a lecture method, followed by a discussion session. The result of this training is that mosque administrators have a better understanding of sukuk. Furthermore, mosque administrators should pass on knowledge about sukuk to the wider community.

Abstract

The number of smartphone users in Indonesia continues to increase and is dominated by young people, especially students and college students. However, the use of smartphones still tends to be limited to entertainment activities such as social media and online games, which are not optimal for productive activities such as making citizen journalism videos. This community service activity aims to educate and equip a group of high school students and students with the ability to use smartphones in creating citizen journalism works. The activity was carried out through a training method that combined theory delivery with hands-on practice and interactive discussions. Participants are trained to master basic journalistic skills, including mobile journalism techniques, interviews, writing, and video editing via smartphones. The results of the training showed a significant improvement in the participants' skills, which were measured through four main indicators, namely mastery of shooting techniques, video editing skills, video production skills, and understanding of citizen journalism. These findings imply that through measurable training, smartphones can be transformed from entertainment tools into productive equipment and encourage the younger generation to create citizen journalism videos that have a wide impact on society.

Abstract

The Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Daon Village, Rajeg Subdistrict, has great potential in fostering the village economy but is hindered by weak institutional governance and a non-functional organizational structure. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to provide structured mentoring in strengthening institutional governance and educating administrators on transparent, accountable, and participatory management principles. The implementation method used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving 15 KWT administrators and members through interactive workshops and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the urgency of business group institutions and good governance principles. Through the FGD session, KWT Desa Daon successfully formulated a comprehensive organizational structure, including clear job descriptions from the chairperson level to operational sections such as production and marketing. This governance strengthening directly implies an increase in member capacity, transparent financial management, and the readiness of KWT to transform into a bankable rural micro-enterprise. In conclusion, this mentoring successfully laid an organized institutional foundation to drive KWT independence and improve the economic resilience of Daon Village.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to improve digital advertising literacy and build anti-pembelian impulsif awareness among students of SMK Puspita Husada, South Tangerang. This program is motivated by the increasing exposure to digital advertising through social media that utilizes algorithms, influencers, hidden endorsements, and various persuasive strategies that have the potential to encourage adolescent consumer behavior. As active users of digital media, adolescents are a group vulnerable to impulsive buying behavior due to the influence of trends, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), and the need for social recognition. The activity was carried out through counseling methods, lectures, interactive discussions, and sharing sessions involving lecturers and students of the Communication Studies Program at Pamulang University. The material provided covered media literacy, advertising literacy, persuasive strategies in digital advertising, consumer behavior, and wise financial management. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of various forms of persuasion in digital advertising, such as flash sales, fake testimonials, crossed-out prices, and the use of buzzers. In addition, participants demonstrated a more critical awareness of commercial content in digital media and the importance of distinguishing needs from wants. This activity contributes to strengthening digital literacy among teenagers to be more critical, rational, and responsible in facing consumer culture in the digital era.

Abstract

Beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH) require practical empowerment not only in receiving social assistance, but also in transforming the assistance into better family welfare through education-oriented priorities and household economic management. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen the understanding of PKH beneficiary families in Tanjungbaru Village, Cikarang Timur, Bekasi, regarding education planning, income and expense recording, monthly budgeting, debt control, and emergency fund preparation. The activity was conducted offline on 17 April 2026 and involved 23 PKH beneficiaries. The method consisted of preparation and coordination, a pre-test, interactive socialization, discussion of household financial cases, and a post-test. The results showed an increase in participants’ average score from 1.93 in the pre-test to 3.96 in the post-test, or an average improvement of 2.03 points. The most visible improvements occurred in participants’ understanding of education fund planning, debt management, emergency funds, and business capital planning. These findings indicate that structured and contextual financial education can improve the capacity of PKH beneficiary families to regulate household expenditure, prioritize children’s education, and reduce the risk of unproductive debt. Sustainable mentoring involving PKH facilitators and local community actors is recommended to ensure behavioral changes and long-term welfare improvement.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance digital literacy and social media ethics among students at SMK Muhammadiyah 9 Jakarta. The program was implemented by a team of lecturers from Universitas Satya Negara Indonesia (USNI), using a participatory education approach integrated with experiential learning. The activities included educational sessions, interactive discussions, case-based simulations, and hands-on practice in creating educational digital content, encouraging students' active engagement throughout the learning process. The evaluation results showed that the program increased 40 students' digital literacy by 46% and their understanding of social media ethics by 53%. These improvements were evidenced by comparisons of the pre-test and post-test results, as well as by the students' ability to produce educational digital content as a practical application of the knowledge they had acquired. The findings indicate that the participatory education approach was effective not only in improving students' knowledge but also in developing practical skills, critical thinking, and more responsible, ethical, and informed attitudes toward the use of digital media. Therefore, the learning model implemented in this community service program has the potential to be replicated in other schools as an effective strategy for strengthening digital literacy and fostering a healthy and responsible digital culture within educational settings.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital literacy and content production skills of youth and mosque administrators at Masjid Purnawira Ledug, Banyumas. The main problem faced by the partner was the limited use of social media as a medium for mosque information and digital da'wah, although participants already had access to smartphones and were familiar with digital platforms. The activity was implemented through a participatory action research approach consisting of coordination, training, guided practice, publication planning, and evaluation. Training materials covered digital da'wah ethics, basic smartphone photography and videography, and simple content production for social media. Evaluation was conducted through paired pretest and post-test scores for two topics: digital da'wah and photography-videography. The results showed positive changes in both topics. The average score for digital da'wah increased from 96.14 to 99.32, while the average score for photography-videography increased from 97.38 to 99.52. The participants were also actively involved in recording video practices around the mosque. The program indicates that mosque-based digital content training can support youth empowerment and improve the sustainability of mosque information management

Abstract

The development of science and technology requires students to have the ability to process and analyze research data systematically, accurately, and using technology. However, the results of observations of students in the Management Study Program at Linggabuana University PGRI Sukabumi indicate that data analysis skills using SPSS still need improvement, especially in instrument testing, selection of analysis techniques, and interpretation of statistical output. This Community Service activity aims to improve students' competence, independence, and digital statistical literacy through SPSS-based training. The implementation method uses a participatory-educational approach through hands-on training, which includes needs observation, material preparation, direct practice training, data analysis assistance, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The activity was carried out on May 3 and 10, 2026, involving 150 students. The evaluation results showed an increase in participant competence, with an average achievement of 83.4% in the good category, especially in aspects of presentation of analysis results, validity and reliability tests, and use of SPSS. In addition, there was an increase in the ability to interpret output and independence in research data analysis. This activity has proven effective in enhancing data analysis skills and supporting the improvement of students' research proposals and theses in a more systematic and data-driven manner.

Abstract

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) groups continue to expand globally. In addition to being supported by legalization in various democratic countries, the global proliferation of LGBT is also facilitated by the rapid use of social media. On the downside of the internet, the constant exposure to LGBT content on social media is feared to influence society, especially among Gen Z. Strategic efforts are needed to prevent the spread of LGBT ideology through social media. One effort is through educational seminars on the dangers of exposure to LGBT content on social media for congregations and mosque administrators. The educational seminar on the dangers of exposure to LGBT content on social media was held after the congregational dawn prayer and involved approximately 40 congregants and administrators of the Baitul Hikmah Mosque, Nusa Loka BSD City, Serpong, South Tangerang. The results of this educational seminar increased the congregation and mosque administrators' knowledge and understanding of the dangers of widespread exposure to LGBT ideology through social media, while also planning concrete actions to counter LGBT ideology in their respective social environments.

Abstract

Glodok Chinatown in West Jakarta possesses a rich Chinese–Betawi gastronomic heritage with significant potential to strengthen Jakarta's city branding. However, this potential has not been fully utilized due to limited gastronomic communication literacy, inadequate culinary storytelling, and insufficient community participation in cultural tourism development. This Community Service Program (CSP) aimed to enhance community gastronomic communication literacy through a Community-Based Tourism (CBT) approach. The program was implemented in four stages, comprising needs assessment, knowledge transfer, storytelling workshops and practical sessions, and sustainability mentoring, involving 45 participants representing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), professional associations, local government, tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis), Family Welfare Movement (PKK) members, and youth communities. Program evaluation employed a simple post-test design, participatory observation, and participant feedback covering the dimensions of knowledge, attitudes, and behavioural intentions. The findings indicate that 100% of participants recognized Chinese–Betawi cuisine as part of Jakarta's cultural heritage, 100% expressed willingness to support the preservation and promotion of local gastronomy, and 100% intended to disseminate information about Glodok's culinary heritage through interpersonal communication and social media. Furthermore, all participants rated the program's usefulness 10 out of 10. Beyond improving community literacy, the program produced practical outputs in the form of gastronomic storytelling materials and a community-based gastronomic communication literacy model that contributes to strengthening Jakarta's sustainable city branding through multi-stakeholder collaboration, digital media utilization, and community empowerment.
