Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve preschool children's understanding of good screen use and strengthen basic digital literacy. This event was held at Al-Barkah Islamic Kindergarten and was attended by 21 kindergarten children as participants. The methodology applied included interactive presentations and light discussions, which included introduction to gadget devices, proper timing for screen use, age-appropriate content selection, as well as alternative activities that did not involve gadgets. Evaluation was carried out using pretest and posttest through observation and question and answer sessions. The results show a significant increase in understanding. The level of children's understanding of the time limit for using gadgets increased from 28% before the activity to 81% after. In addition, children's ability to distinguish content based on age also increased from 24% to 85%. Furthermore, 90% of children were able to mention at least two alternative activities that did not have gadgets. These findings show that digital literacy education at an early age succeeds in forming more appropriate and balanced gadget use habits.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and awareness of the Majelis Ta’lim Baitturahman Cipete Selatan members regarding the concept and implementation of social entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurship is a strategic approach to strengthening community economic independence and promoting sustainable social welfare. The activity was conducted on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Majelis Ta’lim Baitturahman Hall, South Cipete, South Jakarta, with 20 participants. The implementation used a participatory approach involving interactive lectures, group discussions, and a simulation of community-based social business model design. The materials were developed based on a value-based social entrepreneurship framework. The results revealed that the participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of integrating spiritual, social, and economic values into social entrepreneurship practices. Participants also identified potential social enterprises within their communities, such as culinary businesses, handicraft production, and digital skills training. This program demonstrates that religious institutions, such as Majelis Ta’lim, can serve as agents of social transformation through productive economic activities rooted in Islamic values and communal benefits.

Abstract

Tamansari Subdistrict, located in Bandung Wetan District, Bandung City, has considerable socio-economic potential and a strategic position in the city center. However, the Tamansari Subdistrict Partnership Institution (Lembaga Kemitraan Kelurahan/LKK Tamansari) faces challenges in social media management, particularly due to the lack of a consistent brand image and a structured content strategy. This situation has reduced the effectiveness of public communication and institutional image-building. This community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of LKK Tamansari to manage social media content professionally through an understanding of content pillar concepts and institutional brand image development. The program targets administrators and members of LKK Tamansari as key actors in subdistrict-level public communication. The activities were conducted using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, including preliminary research, training material development, interactive workshops, content creation simulations, and evaluation through participant presentations. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, with most participants able to independently demonstrate social media content planning. Furthermore, participants showed increased confidence and greater awareness of social media’s potential as a tool for promoting local MSME products. This program contributes to the downstream application of research outcomes in empowering local institutions through digital communication.

Abstract

Cyberbullying increasingly threatens digital awareness among young children in the digital era. This study aims to enhance digital awareness of 15 elementary school students (grades 1-5) at RPTRA Anggrek Bintaro regarding the dangers and impacts of cyberbullying, while equipping them with prevention and reporting skills. The primary approach employs interactive storytelling tailored for young children, featuring simple narratives, engaging visuals, and participatory elements to ensure material comprehension and empathy building. The outreach activity was conducted in a single 60-minute session, involving storytelling on identifying cyberbullying behaviors (online insults and rumor spreading), emotional impacts on victims (anxiety and social isolation), and prevention steps (ignore, block, and report to adults). This method is grounded in constructivist learning theory, where children actively construct understanding through interaction. Observation results indicate that 87% of participants (13 out of 15 children) actively engaged, successfully identified cyberbullying actions in the stories (average comprehension score of 85% via post-activity quiz), and demonstrated increased empathy toward victims. No significant confusion was observed regarding prevention materials. The impact fosters early digital awareness, reduces future risks of becoming perpetrators or victims of cyberbullying, and strengthens RPTRA's role as a supportive community for digital literacy. This study recommends replication in similar educational institutions to support preventive education paradigms in Indonesia.

This community service activity aims to strengthen the digital transformation competencies of Battuta University students through the implementation of structured and applicable cloud computing technology utilization workshops. The methods used in this activity include participant needs analysis, material preparation, interactive workshop implementation, practical guidance, and activity outcome evaluation. The workshop material covered an introduction to the basic concepts of cloud computing, an understanding of key cloud services, and practical use of cloud platforms for data storage, access management, and implementation of simple services. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, and observation of participant engagement during the activity. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' conceptual understanding and technical abilities in utilizing cloud technology. This activity contributed positively to improving students' readiness to meet competency demands in the digital era and strengthening their technological literacy and adaptation.

Abstract

The objective of this community service activity is to equip participants with basic public speaking techniques, confidence, and presentation skills in front of an audience. Participants in this community service consist of RPTRA management staff in Jakarta in accordance with the given theme. The activity was conducted from morning to afternoon and included public speaking lessons, practical exercises/role plays, follow-up plans, and pre-tests to evaluate and provide feedback to each participant. The results of this community service programme showed that participants were able to speak in public, although generally not in a systematic manner. Therefore, an evaluation was conducted based on the pre-test through several questions prepared by the team of instructors. Through this programme, participants were able to maximise their abilities, and it is hoped that this public speaking training programme can be developed further in the future to achieve the goal of building confidence. Thus, it can be concluded that public speaking training can improve participants' knowledge and presentation skills, which in turn can boost their confidence when presenting in public.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has increased internet usage among elementary school students, yet this trend is not accompanied by adequate digital literacy skills. This condition exposes children to various risks, including a lack of awareness of digital footprints, misuse of personal data (identity theft), and cyberbullying. This community service activity aims to enhance the digital literacy of sixth-grade students at SDN Gunung 01 Pagi through digital footprint education tailored to children’s cognitive development. The activity employed an interactive educational approach, including material presentations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions using visual media. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding of digital footprints, awareness of personal data privacy, and recognition of the consequences of online activities. Students also demonstrated active participation and high enthusiasm throughout the activity. However, the findings revealed a technical skill gap, particularly in creating strong and secure passwords. These results suggest that digital literacy education for elementary school students should be conducted continuously and practically to strengthen both conceptual understanding and technical skills in addressing digital risks.

Abstract

The increasing generation of household waste in Indonesia, including in Teluklada Village, Sobang District, Pandeglang Regency, poses a serious threat to environmental quality and public health. Low environmental literacy, limited understanding of waste separation, and the prevalence of open burning and mixed waste disposal highlight the urgent need for community-based environmental education. In response to this issue, the Green Household Initiative Community Service Program (PKM) was implemented to enhance public understanding of the circular economy as an alternative approach to household waste management. The methods included field observation, preparation of educational materials, delivery of socialization through presentations and interactive discussions, and basic evaluation of participants’ comprehension. The results indicate a notable improvement in participants’ knowledge of the 3R principles (reduce, reuse, recycle), a positive shift in perceptions regarding the value of waste, and increased awareness of the importance of waste sorting in daily activities. Overall, this program plays a critical role in addressing the urgent need for environmental education and serves as an initial step in strengthening community understanding of circular economy–based waste management.
