Abstract

Stunting is one of the health problems that still poses a challenge in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. In Tulungagung Regency, the prevalence of stunting reached around 5.17% in 2025. Although the general stunting rate in Tulungagung has sharply decreased, there are still several villages in this area that report a relatively high stunting prevalence, reaching around 5% in Serut village. This achievement places Tulungagung as one of the regencies with a relatively high stunting rate in East Java. Dissemination to improve nutritional knowledge among pregnant mothers is an important step in preventing stunting. This study aims to prove that the dissemination of nutritional knowledge enhances nutritional knowledge for pregnant mothers in Serut Village, Boyolangu District, Tulungagung Regency. The activities used are the pre-post method using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to determine the significance of the increase in understanding among pregnant mothers. Data collection in this activity uses interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that dissemination improves nutritional knowledge for pregnant women, covering nutrition education, food assistance utilization programs, and the active role of health workers, proving that education plays an important role in increasing pregnant women's awareness of adequate nutrition fulfillment. Stakeholders need to pay attention to improving pregnant women's knowledge and access to nutritious food. It is hoped that increased nutritional knowledge can reduce the risk of stunting in children.

Abstract

The development of health information technology has undergone a significant transformation. One important aspect that has changed is the method of screening or early detection of diseases, which is often carried out using applications that are easily accessible to the public. Given that cases of tuberculosis, hypertension, low vision, and mental health issues are on the rise due to lifestyle changes. This activity was carried out to introduce the health screening application owned by the government for widespread use in the community. The Methods Community service activities were carried out by giving presentations to the target audience (Al-Rifa'ie High School students) and asking them to practise screening using the introduced application. The Results showed 76% of participants were unaware of the existence of screening applications for these diseases. The provision of health information related to screening through presentations and practical demonstrations was effective in ensuring that participants understood the material because they participated actively.

Abstract

Uniformity in writing diagnoses based on medical terminology, in accordance with the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Tenth Revision (ICD-10), is a crucial factor in determining the accuracy of diagnosis codes. Inaccurate use of medical terminology can make it difficult for medical records officers to determine the lead term for a diagnosis, resulting in inaccurate diagnosis codes and implications for the validity of health service data and the accuracy of INA-CBG rates. This activity is a form of Community Service (PKM) aimed at enhancing the competence of medical records officers in understanding medical terminology, disease classification and codification, and coding audits, as an effort to improve clinical coder skills. The methods used were socialization and training, accompanied by coding audit simulations. The activity was carried out at the Jatibaru Community Health Center in Bima City on July 3, 2023, involving five medical records officers. The activity was evaluated through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the increase in participants' understanding. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' understanding from an average of 60% in the pre-test to 95% in the post-test after participating in the activity. These results indicate that the outreach and training were effective in improving the clinical coding competency of medical records officers. It is hoped that similar activities can be implemented on an ongoing basis to maintain and improve the quality of diagnostic coding and healthcare services in primary healthcare facilities.

Abstract

The 2022 SSGI results showed the prevalence of underweight toddlers in Indonesia was 17.1%, with West Java at 14.2%, and Tasikmalaya City at 13%. Data from the 2023 Health Office recorded 15,804 underweight toddlers (8.43%), with the highest number of cases occurring in the Karanganyar and Cibeureum Community Health Centers. This situation emphasizes the importance of increasing the capacity of integrated health post (Posyandu) cadres in the use of anthropometric tools to ensure more accurate nutritional data. The goal is to improve cadres' knowledge and skills in monitoring toddler growth and support the acceleration of Primary Service Integration (ILP). The activity method was carried out through socialization, training, and practical simulations using standard anthropometric tools (digital scales, infantometers, stadiometers, digital sphygmomanometers, and LILA tapes) with the assistance of a team of lecturers. The activities at the Harapan Bunda and Mekarsari Posyandus were attended by Posyandu cadres, representatives from the sub-district, neighborhood associations (RT), and community associations (RW). Participants showed high enthusiasm, were able to try using the tools independently, and were more confident in recording measurement results on the Child Health Card (KMS). This program is expected to produce more accurate nutritional data to support early detection and prevention of underweight.

Abstract

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) in the National Hospital Accreditation Standards (STARKES) aims to reduce the risk of infection in healthcare workers, patients, and visitors. The WHO recorded more than 722,000 hospital-acquired infections in 2014, with the incidence in Indonesia reaching 15.74%. Nosocomial infections remain high in Southeast Asia, posing a serious threat to the quality of healthcare services. Furthermore, hospitals, as producers of medical waste, risk environmental pollution if not managed properly. The Objectives to providing information and training related to Infection Prevention and Control at  RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi Makassar. The method assists health workers, such as providing counseling and in-house training related to infection control prevention, assisted by the PPI team from RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi. The results of this training show that employees at RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi have knowledge about PPI, but monitoring and reporting still need to be improved so that those exposed to HAI infections receive better treatment. Nosocomial infections remain common, and IPC programs are not yet optimally implemented. Training is good, but understanding and implementation still need to be improved
