Abstract

Digitalization in the health sector has been regulated in the Minister of Health's Decree Number HK.01.07/Menkes/1559/2022. This transformation effort can help provide optimal services. One form of this digitalization adoption can be seen in the presence of digital appointments, which can also be referred to as online service reservations. Service reservations or making appointments with doctors, which were previously done conventionally, can now be done online to make it easier for both patients and staff. RSUD Sidoarjo Barat has a digital appointment system based on a website that can be utilized by both old and new patients. However, many patients are still unaware of the existence of this website. Based on secondary data from patient visits on January 4 and 6, 2025, there were 196 patients who registered online out of a total of 746 patients, with a percentage of 26%. The small number of patients who chose to register online is because many patients are not yet aware of the availability of online registration. The purpose of this community service is to educate patients about the benefits of creating schedules online and how to schedule online. The method used was outreach by approaching outpatient clinic patients who were waiting at the registration desk of RSUD Sidoarjo Barat. The socialization was carried out by distributing leaflets containing information about the ease and how to make appointments using the RSUD Sidoarjo Barat online registration website, as well as a video on how to schedule online using the web. Out of the 32 participants in this activity, 13 respondents were able to schedule online using the website. In this socialization activity, obstacles were encountered such as patients who do not have a mobile phone, patients who prefer to register offline because they cannot use a mobile phone, and patients who lack support from their families. To maximize the utilization of the web-based online scheduling system, facilities and infrastructure are needed, such as system ease of use, compatibility of device specifications (smartphones), and support from staff to disseminate information to patients, such as through social media. In addition, support from the patient's family can help maximize the utilization of this system:

Abstract

The patient registration process is the initial step in the creation of medical records at every healthcare facility. At this stage, the patient's personal identification data and the purpose of their visit to the hospital are recorded. This community service topic was chosen because many patients and their families still do not fully understand the outpatient registration procedures at hospitals. The method used in this community service activity is the production of an educational video that will be disseminated through the hospital. The results of this activity indicate an improvement in understanding of the outpatient services process, starting from registration to receiving medical care. This activity is highly important, considering that patients and their families require fast and accurate services. Therefore, education or socialization regarding the registration process is essential. With the presence of this educational and socialization video, it is expected that patients will find it easier to complete the registration process and access medical services.

Abstract

Adolescence begins at the age of 10-18 years, and there are three stages of adolescent development. At each stage, adolescents will experience many changes, both physically, cognitively, and emotionally. During adolescence, habits and behaviors begin to form, one of which is eating habits. Good eating habits for adolescents can help achieve maximum growth and thus be beneficial for maintaining their health. Eating behavior in terms of eating habits shown by adolescents includes consuming snacks and fast food. This will affect nutritional problems. Nutritional problems occur not only from deficiencies but also from an imbalance in excessive food consumption, which can lead to overnutrition (obesity). Therefore, it is necessary to understand the importance of knowing the nutritional status of adolescents. The method uses BMI (body mass index) measurements. BMI measurements use the SATU SEHAT application from the Ministry of Health on each mobile phone of students at Al-Rifa'E Modern High School, Gondang Legi, Malang. This community service activity involved 30 female students. This activity resulted in skills in using the SATU SEHAT application installed on each mobile phone of students at Al-Rifa'E Modern High School, Gondang Legi, Malang. Where students of Al-Rifa'E Gondang Legi Malang Modern High School can understand the use and benefits of the SATU SEHAT application for BMI measurement so that they can achieve their ideal body size that they are not susceptible to disease.

Abstract

Fulfilling the nutritional needs of pregnant women is paramount during pregnancy. By obtaining balanced and good nutrition, pregnant women can reduce health risks to the fetus, one of which is an effort to prevent stunting in infants and toddlers. The problem of inadequate intake among pregnant women in Julu'pamai Village, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency, requires an appropriate intervention to prevent nutritional problems in pregnant women and their toddlers. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of pregnant women in providing and consuming a balanced diet. The methods used include counseling, education, and creating balanced menus for pregnant women. The number of pregnant women has reached the target (20 people). The results of the community service activity show that after being provided with education, there was a 100% increase in the knowledge of mothers. There was an average increase in knowledge score of 1.6 between before and after being provided with education. Based on the mothers' skills in preparing a balanced menu at home, it also shows that 100% of pregnant women have been able to practice it at home. However, not all pregnant women have adopted the practice of eating a balanced menu. Pregnant women still rarely consume sources of vegetable protein and fruit.

Healthy teenagers are an investment in the nation's future. The younger generation has an important role to continue the relay of development and development of the nation. It is in the hands of teenagers that the direction of this country is determined. One of the health problems that is the government's focus is overcoming anemia in teenagers. Anemia in adolescents has a negative impact on growth, development, cognitive abilities and learning concentration, as well as increasing susceptibility to infectious diseases. Anemia can also have a big impact when these young women become mothers and give birth to children, which can put them at risk of stunting. This PkM implementation was held on Friday 6 December 2024 from 09.00 - 11.30 WIT, located in the hall of Senior High School 2 Luwu and attended by 36 participants who were students of Senior High School 2 Luwu. In this PkM, all participants took part in the activities with enthusiasm, this was proven by the large number of activity participants and the participants were actively involved in outreach activities with enthusiasm asking about stunting in discussion sessions. After providing education about the symptoms, impacts and management of anemia, the next activity was to distribute blood supplement tablets to young women. Providing blood supplement tablets (TTD) is important to prevent anemia in young women. Anemia in adolescents can be prevented by consuming Fe tablets which are taken regularly during menstruation. Providing education to young women, especially about treating anemia, is very important to carry out regularly, this is because teenagers' understanding and awareness of the problem of anemia is still very low. Adolescent girls who menstruate are required to consume nutritious food, get enough rest and consume Fe tablets to prevent anemia.

Abstract

Health cadres play a crucial role in detecting various health cases in the community, including tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is among the most highly transmitted diseases in Semarang City, requiring a consistent approach to case management. Health cadres serve as the frontline in identifying and supporting the treatment of tuberculosis cases. Therefore, this community engagement activity involved training health cadres on tuberculosis, covering topics such as transmission, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and the side effects of TB medication. The training lasted for three hours and was conducted in the teleconference room of the Faculty of Health Science at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro. A pretest was administered to assess the cadres baseline knowledge, with a score of 67 answering correctly. After the training (post-test), correct responses increased to score 75,46. These results indicate that the training improved the cadres knowledge, which is essential for supporting tuberculosis prevention efforts and reducing the incidence of new cases in the community.

Abstract

Tea Malala Village faces suboptimal sanitation issues and an increasing threat of drug abuse. The lack of clean water facilities and insufficient education about the dangers of drug abuse are major challenges that need to be addressed. The objective of this community service program is to reduce the risk of disease transmission caused by poor sanitation through education on proper waste management and sanitation, as well as to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and establish anti-drug activist agents within the community. The program was implemented in three stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation. Activities included education on organic and inorganic waste management, drug abuse prevention counseling, and the establishment of anti-drug activist agents in the village. Before the program, only 12% of the community practiced waste segregation, but this number increased after the educational sessions. Additionally, the ownership of waste bins increased to 70%, and all households now have proper latrines. In terms of drug prevention, 100% of participants joined the establishment of the "Bersinar" agents, although participation in drug abuse counseling remained low (20%). This program successfully increased community awareness, but challenges remain in implementing waste segregation and processing, as well as in the availability of wastewater treatment facilities. This program effectively enhances awareness of sanitation and drug prevention. Continuous efforts are needed through the mentoring of anti-drug activist agents and strengthening education on waste management to maximize the program's impact.
