Abstract

The increase in incidents of sexual violence against children with disabilities, which occurs from year to year, is caused by their disabilities and limited intelligence, making them more vulnerable to sexual abuse and violence. According to data from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) in 2021, there was an increase in the rate of violence and sexual harassment against children with disabilities by 48% compared to the previous year. Previous research has also identified various reproductive health problems faced by children with disabilities, including anxiety, sexual abuse, pregnancy in teenage girls, and diseases resulting from promiscuous sexual behavior. Limited access to special schools, a lack of available educators, as well as a lack of educational facilities, infrastructure and media, means that not all children with disabilities receive appropriate education. Therefore, it is important for children with disabilities in special schools, special middle schools and special high schools to understand well the aspects of their reproductive health. Accurate and precise information about reproductive health is very important for children with disabilities. The aim of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of children with disabilities through reproductive health education training, making learning media about reproductive health, and making reproductive health books specifically for children with disabilities. Outputs include increasing knowledge, attitudes and behavior of children with disabilities related to reproductive health, simple but effective reproductive health learning media, reproductive health books with ISBN numbers, publication of scientific articles, as well as community service activities and video documentation of these activities.

Abstract

Semoyo is one of the districts located in Gunungkidul Regency. The community engages in the cultivation of traditional medicinal plants. One of the area's widely cultivated traditional medicinal plants is citronella. The community produces a significant amount of citronella, but it has yet to be processed into high-value economic products. Currently, citronella has emerged as a promising commodity because it can be used as a raw material to produce essential oil. The production of citronella essential oil is carried out through steam-hydro distillation. This research aimed to test the distillation characteristics to determine the potential production of citronella essential oil. The research aimed to determine the rate and capacity of essential oil production using citronella as the raw material. Based on the test results, the optimal duration for the distillation process of 2,000 grams of citronella was 60 minutes, with a maximum duration of 90 minutes. The yield of citronella essential oil obtained from this test was 0.414%. The resulting citronella essential oil has a density of 0.920 grams/mL, a clear appearance, a distinctive lemongrass aroma, and a light yellow color. These criteria meet the SNI 3953:2019 for citronella essential oil

Abstract

UMKM are business institutions that have proven capable of being the engine of the economy and able to withstand various crises, both national and global. Ponorogo has 39,650 UMKM as of 2022. Since the enactment of the JPH Law, MSMEs have faced a new challenge, namely the obligation to have halal certification for every product marketed. However, halal certification is actually a necessity for MSMEs in an effort to develop and advance their business. Because the halal certification owned by UMKM is able to increase buying interest, buying and selling decisions. But still the awareness to take care of halal certification in UMKM is still low. And in Diponorogo there is still very little for halal certification, especially in the village of Senepo, Slahung sub-district. Efforts for Halal certification continue to be carried out by KUA, one of which is collaboration with the government or campuses to disseminate information to the community. The method used in the implementation of our work program is Halal Dissemination and Certification using the ABCD (Asset Based Community-Driven Development) approach. The results of this activity were the participants in the Certification of Understanding related to Halal Products and the importance of the halal label, as well as making Certification for UMKMs in Senepo Village.

Abstract

A crisis is currently affecting the Goyor woven sarong home industry in North Wanarejan Village (Wan-Ut), Pemalang. The Goyor sarong, which is the village's potential, is facing serious issues. The price of sarongs has plummeted, while the cost of raw materials and employee wages has soared. Furthermore, declining market demand has presented numerous challenges for sarong producers in Wan-Ut. Previously, sarong producers manufactured their products without any promotion, so a solution to address this crisis is much needed. One step that can be taken to tackle this issue is to promote the sarongs to increase market demand. Additionally, finding ways to reduce production costs is essential to improve profit margins. To achieve these goals, a community engagement program was conducted, providing training in digital marketing techniques, packaging creation, and sales management to residents of North Wanarejan Village. This program proceeded smoothly, and the residents showed great enthusiasm. Evaluation of the results was carried out directly during the program, where participants applied the sales strategie they had learned to sell Goyor sarongs online. As a result, two participants successfully sold Goyor sarongs online.

Abstract

Street lighting is an important aspect in the lives of rural communities. However, the Cikembang Caringin area in Sukabumi Regency still faces challenges in providing efficient and sustainable street lighting. To overcome this problem, this study was carried out with the aim of implementing solar cells as an alternative source of street lighting and providing education about electricity to the local community. The results of this study show that the implementation of solar cells as a source of street lighting in Cikembang Caringin provides positive results. Street lighting produced from a solar cell system is able to provide sufficient light for the community at night, thereby providing a sense of security and comfort for local residents. The education about electricity, namely the dangers of short circuits and also about Renewable Energy provided by Pak Anang and Pak Tyo, had a positive impact in increasing public awareness of the wise and sustainable use of energy. It is hoped that the findings from this research can be an inspiration for the development of renewable energy-based street lighting in other rural areas.
