Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) Conducting a research is one of the implementations of Three Pillars of Higher Education that has a crucial role for the development of science, technology, and arts as well as for the improvement of the welfare of society since the research results are directly implemented to the society/community. To spread more significant effect; not only for the society/community but also for more external parties; therefore, Universitas Internasional Batam hold a Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas partners to disseminate their research works. Through this conference, the researchers are able to share their knowledge and motivation in the application of sustainable research activities.

Abstract

Current technological advances can be applied in various fields, one of which is tourism. Furthermore, technology can make finding more extensive information about tourism in the country is easier. So that, they can plan before going on a trip. Looking at this aspect, technological developments are expected to help the tourism sector in Indonesia. This can be done by introducing one of the attractions in the area, namely Tanjung Balai Karimun. Which will be developed in a Photobook. Photobook is a type of book that is related to each other, which can be designed and laid out in advance. After that, it was printed and shaped into a book. This research aims to promote natural tourist attractions in the Karimun area. Because Karimun rarely has promoted tourism objects using photobooks. This research uses the R&D (research and development) method in designing photobooks. The result of this research is a photobook about waterfalls in Tanjung Balai Karimun which can introduce tourism

Abstract

Cloud Management Platform or CMP have an important role to provide maximum services for management device on premises and virtualization devices at utmost efficiency and under control. There are many types of CMP that can be use in any Cloud Computing Provider. However, choosing the right CMP, can provide accessibility on system management, such as expandability, cost, resource management, system durability and performance produced by the system. This analysis study is using Literature Review method to provide theoretical comparisons through the studies that have been researched by previous researchers. With this research study, Cloud Service Manager can choose the right CMP that suits their needs.

Abstract

Audio Games (AG) are electronic games that employ sound as the main carrier of information. Recently there has been an increasing interest in targeting wider audience, a trend largely due to the development of cellular technology. The target of the audience are visually impaired people because they are also one of the main markets in AG because video games have a dependence on visual information, where video games require sensory abilities that are not possessed by the visually impaired people. This research was conducted to help design and develop interactive audio based video games for wide audience. The method used for the development of this video is the ADDIE method. The result of this research consist of the prototype audio game development using the proposed applied methodology. In this research, there will be also satisfactory accessibility interview of a few visually impaired people.

Abstract

Website Rumah Sakit Graha Hermine merupakan sebuah aplikasi berbasis web dimana terdapat admin yang bertugas untuk memuat dan mengelola informasi seputar Rumah Sakit dan user yang dapat melihat dan memanfaatkan sumber informasi di dalam website. Dengan menggunakan metode framework SDLC yaitu analisa dan perencanaan untuk mengumpulkan informasi dan referensi dari website rumah sakit lain, perancangan untuk melakukan gambaran kasar terhadap hasil jadi website, pengembangan untuk melakukan proses konstruksi website agar dapat digunakan, pengujian untuk mencari celah dan improvisasi, implementasi dan pemeliharaan untuk di gunakan oleh user. Hasil dari pengerjaan website ini yaitu analisa traffic kunjungan pengguna yang lebih meningkat dibandingkan dengan tampilan website sebelumnya

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ukuran dewan, keterlambatan audit, independensi dewan, keberagaman gender, komite audit, block ownership concentration dan kepemilikan institusional terhadap kinerja perusahaan yang diukur dengan ROE dan ROA pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dari periode 2015 hingga 2019. Ukuran perusahaan, leverage dan likuiditas merupakan variabel kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ukuran dewan hanya berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap ROE, sedangkan keterlambatan audit berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap ROE dan ROA. Independensi dewan dan block ownership concentration berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap ROE dan ROA namun keberagaman gender, komite audit dan kepemilikan institusional tidak berpengaruh terhadap ROE dan ROA.

Abstract

Work efficiency and effectivity are important matters in production process of manufacturing industry. Hence, manufacturing company adopt manufacturing information system to enhance both. Basic process in manufacturing industry are raw material purchase, production, packaging, up to selling. In packaging process, most Indonesia’s manufacturing company often use pallet for final packing process. To manage a big company, it requires manufacturing information system which can support manufacturing process in order to give the top management full focus on expansion and evaluation. Technology growth accelerate information system development for manufacturing industry. Starting from basic elements such as communicating through e-mails, worker’s attendance, constructing marketing strategy using data mining, up to big data utilization in analyzing weather statistic before raw material delivery carried out. The technology development has been significantly affecting industry growth. In addition, evolution of programming language also smooth the way for manufacture information system design and development. From various web programming language, for instance JavaScript, Java, Swift, including Ruby, one of them that is frequently used is PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor). There’s a great number of user and documentation in regard to this programming language assist users progress in information system development. More often than not in designing or development of an information system, prototyping method are used. Where the method goes from analyzing requirement, quick design, building prototype, ends with evaluation and improvement. Therefore, to enhance work effieciency and effectivity in manufacturing industry predominantly in palletizing process, Author design and develop a PHP web based information system using prototyping method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tata kelola perusahaan dan karakteristik perusahaan terhadap penghindaran pajak. Variabel tata kelola perusahaan yang digunakan adalah ukuran dewan, ukuran dewan independen, kepemilikan manajerial dan kepemilikan institusional serta variabel karakteristik perusahaan adalah ukuran perusahaan, leverage, profitabilitas, dan intensitas modal. Pengambilan sampel sesuai dengan purposive sampling terdapat 192 perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif untuk menguji data sekunder perusahaan terdaftar. Hasil penelitian kepemilikan manajerial, leverage, profitabilitas dan intensitas modal memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap penghindaran pajak. Hasil uji tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tata kelola perusahaan dan karakteristik perusahaan dapat memengaruhi peningkatan maupun penurunan penghindaran pajak.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out how music affects basketball free throw performance. The influence of music in free throws is considered important for building tension and adrenaline in a match, and it is rarely reported in the scientific method how music in free throws affects players. This study uses qualitative methods using experimental methods. This free throw experiment used four parameters and four changes in musical tempo, and each parameter consisted of 30 participants. The parameters we use are in and out of the ball, using scoring, pre-shot time, and time during the shooting phase. Experimental results show that music can have a positive impact on free throw performance. Music has significantly impacted performance in free throws which require good tension and adrenaline

Abstract

Pengolahan nilai raport di Sekolah Kallista Batam saat ini masih menggunakan metode manual dengan menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Excel, sehingga membutuhkan lebih banyak waktu dan tenaga yang diperlukan guna menyelesaikan pekerjaan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi pengolahan nilai bersifat digital ataupun komputerisasi. Sistem informasi raport K13 Sekolah Kallista Batam adalah sistem informasi yang dapat menangani pengolahan nilai raport K13 yang memiliki banyak parameter penilaian yang meliputi nilai pengetahuan, keterampilan, spiritual dan sosial, serta termasuk juga keterampilan ekstrakulikuler siswa. Dalam sistem informasi ini terdapat juga pendataan yang dibutuhkan dalam pengolahan nilai seperti data siswa, guru, mata pelajaran, kelas, dan absensi siswa.

Abstract

Studi ini menganalisis implikasi pengawasan dari atribut tata kelola-yang mencakup jumlah dewan direksi, dewan direksi independen, jumlah komite audit, komite audit independen, kepemilikan institusional dan kepemilikan manajerial terhadap profitabilitas. Analisis menggunakan teori agency untuk menjelaskan temuan. Tekhnik regresi menggunakan data panel dengan rincinan 1.749 data dari perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2015-2019. Seluruh atribut tata kelola tidak memiliki implikasi terhadap return on asset (ROA) kecuali jumlah dewan direksi dan komite audit independen yang berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan. Paper ini menggaris bawahi buruknya tata kelola perusahaan di Indonesia sehingga mengkonfirmasi penurunan tata kelola perusahaan di Indonesia dan meningkatkan agency cost. Studi ini berkontribusi menunjukkan perlunya evaluasi regulasi dewan direksi yang tidak memiliki substansi dan perbaikan kualifikasi komite audit.
