Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) Conducting a research is one of the implementations of Three Pillars of Higher Education that has a crucial role for the development of science, technology, and arts as well as for the improvement of the welfare of society since the research results are directly implemented to the society/community. To spread more significant effect; not only for the society/community but also for more external parties; therefore, Universitas Internasional Batam hold a Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas partners to disseminate their research works. Through this conference, the researchers are able to share their knowledge and motivation in the application of sustainable research activities.

<![CDATA[Kampung Tua Belian merupakan salah satu Kampung Melayu di Kota Batam. Namun, fenomena pergeseran pola pemikiran dan mata pencaharian masyarakat setempat mengakibatkan adanya perubahan pada arsitektur di kawasan pesisir tersebut. Melalui analisis tipologi arsitektur yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan tipologi fungsi dan fasad bangunan, penelitian ini mengkaji karakteristik visual untuk mendapatkan gambaran karakter baru kawasan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Kampung Tua Belian telah menjadi permukiman pesisir dengan tipologi arsitektur yang lebih modern dengan minimnya unsur Melayu. Hasil tersebut dapat menjadi pertimbangan dalam pengembangan identitas kawasan dan menciptakan keserasian secara visual.]]>

<![CDATA[Tourist destinations are zones that are directly designated and advertised as tourist destinations. All tourism products are offered to a particular group of tourists who want to visit places containing a mystery and know the event's meaning. This can be found in historical places according to local people's stories. The development of dark tourism can increase foreign tourist visits, which can be used as an economy related to the government by attracting foreign tourists who want to provide foreign exchange for dark tourism, including remote areas. The author uses the flow of literature study and conducts research and development analysis to determine tourists' interest in visiting these places. After getting strong interest from the tourists, the researcher designed and built the appropriate video for it. This continues and is improved up to the implementation stage and ends at the dissemination stage. Many still do not understand how to attract tourists' attention from dark tourist destinations, whether it is shooting a film in the form of a vintage colour gradation video with a frame. The result of the design and development is a documentary video of dark tourism that the Indonesian people can use to attract foreign tourist visits to Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[The Malaysian Government has put effort into Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for educational purposes encompassing the preschool setting. Regardless of the benefits of ICT to children’s learning development and the purpose of advocate integration of ICT in the education field, the usage of ICT by preschool teachers in the classroom was still not significant. The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between preschool teachers’ teaching experience and beliefs and their usage of (ICT) and the Internet in early childhood education (ECE). Results showed that there was no significant relationship between preschool teachers’ teaching experience and beliefs and their usage of ICT and the Internet in ECE. The findings recommend the policymakers to supply more ICT facilities for teachers to well integrate ICT and expose children to Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs)]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dengan menggunakan teori fraud triangle, fraud diamond, dan fraud pentagon dalam mendeteksi fraudulent financial report pada perusahaan terdaftar di BEI 2015-2019. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 308 perusahaan yang kemudian diuji dengan bantuan program SPSS 25. Hasil dan kesimpulan penelitian yaitu financial target (ROA), external pressure (LEV), kualitas auditor eksternal (AUD), pergantian direksi perusahaan (DCHANGE) dan frequent number of CEO’s picture (CEOPIC) dapat membantu mendeteksi terjadinya kecurangan pelaporan keuangan, sedangkan financial stability (ACHANGE), ineffective monitoring (BDOUT) dan change in auditor (CPA) tidak dapat membantu pendeteksian kecurangan pelaporan keuangan suatu perusahaan.]]>

<![CDATA[Batam City is one of the cities that has become a tourist destination for local residents and foreign tourists. As the largest city in the Riau island, Batam City has a wide variety of foods from various regions. One of the uniqueness of Batam city is the foodcourt which provides many food stands, from breakfast to dinner all available at the foodcourt. The amount of food available in the food court in Batam city makes it difficult for the writer to decide what to eat for this photobook. Photobooks are print media that contain photos and are arranged in the form of a book. Photobooks can be used as a medium to convey messages about information on the topic to be discussed. The purpose of this research is to introduce and promote food and also the foodcourt in Batam City. The data collection technique used was interview and location observation at the foodcourt. The application used by the author to design the photobook is Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 and the final result in this research is a photobook containing food, food stands, and a food court. The results of the photobook will be printed with a size of 20 x 20cm. The results of the photobook will be printed with a size of 20 x 20cm. With this photobook, it is hoped that the foodcourt will be more attractive to potential buyers, both local residents and foreign tourists, and add insight to the existing foodcourts in Batam City, according to the results of the Research & Development analysis that has been carried out.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh rasio finansial tertentu terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan tambang yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Rasio yang dibahas meliputi: return on asset (ROA), return on equity (ROE), current ratio, quick ratio, interest rate dan exchange rate. Penelitian kuantitatif ini mengambil data dari laporan keuangan perusahaan selama periode 2015-2019. Data diuji dengan metode regresi data panel melalui program SPSS 25 dan Eviews 11. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel exchange rate terhadap harga saham. ROA, ROE, current ratio, quick ratio, dan interest rate tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan tambang.]]>

<![CDATA[The gig economy is taking up a substantial portion of the workforce in recent years, be it globally or in Malaysia. The nature of gig work brought out the concern for gig workers’ well-being whereby most of the gig work is interrupting their daily routine. Thus, the level of gig workers’ happiness call for attention. The gig workers’ happiness should receive equal attention as the conventional workers. With this set the significance to study the joy of gig work. Also, at present, there is a knowledge gap of gig workers. This study aims to identify the determinant of the joy of gig work. Generally, the Joy of Gig Work is the intense pleasure or happiness brought on by something very satisfying or wonderful in a gig working environment. This study focused on low-skilled gig workers in Malaysia through judgmental sampling technique. A total of 212 survey responses were collected for analysis. The findings indicated that job autonomy has no significant relationship with the joy of gig work, while motivation and work-life balance does bring effect on joy of gig work. The findings of this study contribute to society especially to the economy, company platform and individuals that consider participating in gig economy.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh budaya perusahaan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Budaya perusahaan diukur dengan nilai, kerjasama tim, kepemimpinan dan keterlibatan karyawan. Karyawan perlu mengetahui pentingnya budaya perusahaan agar kinerja perusahaan lebih baik. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 111 responden dari total 17 perusahaan BUMN yang terdaftar di Batam. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 25 dengan metode analisis regresi berganda. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah kerjasama tim, kepemimpinan, keterlibatan karyawan berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan.
