Abstract

Abstract

The use of machine learning in drug discovery is examined in this review article along with any potential advantages, difficulties, and prospective future developments. The article examines the many machine learning models that have been created for these uses and emphasises the value of machine learning in predicting drug characteristics, discovering new therapeutic targets, and creating new drug candidates. The need for high-quality data, increased collaboration and data sharing, as well as ethical and regulatory considerations, are just a few of the obstacles and limitations of employing machine learning in drug discovery that are covered in this article. The study also highlights the necessity of regulatory frameworks that can guarantee the safety and efficacy of novel pharmaceuticals generated using these models, as well as the significance of transparency and accountability in the usage of machine learning algorithms. The discussion of potential future paths and prospects for development in the field of machine learning in drug discovery finishes the essay. Deep learning models, multi-task learning, personalised medicine, and the fusion of machine learning with other technologies like robotics and automation are a few examples of these. In order to speed up the drug discovery process and provide novel, efficient medicines to patients in need, the authors propose tackling the difficulties and limitations of machine learning in drug discovery as well as continuing to investigate these exciting areas of research and development. This review paper offers a thorough summary of the current status of machine learning in drug discovery, stressing its potential advantages and disadvantages as well as outlining the major areas for future research and development that are expected to spur advancement. Researchers, medication developers, and politicians who are curious about how machine learning could change the drug discovery process and enhance patient outcomes will find the paper interesting.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been altering the healthcare industry by bringing novel solutions for improving patient outcomes, decreasing costs, and enhancing efficiency. Healthcare professionals may now access and analyse enormous amounts of patient data, such as test results, imaging studies, and lab records, with the use of artificial intelligence (AI), in order to spot trends and arrive at more precise diagnoses. Additionally, AI can help with the creation of individualised treatment plans and the foretelling of patients' potential health risks. This essay discusses the possible advantages and difficulties of adopting AI in healthcare while providing an overview of the field. The paper examines the various uses of AI in healthcare, including virtual health assistants, drug discovery, and medical imaging. It addresses issues like data privacy, bias, and transparency as well as ethical and legal issues relating to AI. The case studies in the paper show how AI has been effectively applied in healthcare organizations, highlighting the effects it has on patient outcomes, provider workflows, and cost savings. The final section of the study explores the possibilities for additional innovation and cooperation among business leaders, academics, and politicians, as well as the future of AI in healthcare. By enhancing patient outcomes, lowering costs, and boosting efficiency, AI has the potential to completely transform the healthcare industry. However, for its implementation to be successful, ethical and legal issues must be resolved, and all patients must have access to and equity with regard to AI solutions. We can endeavor to create a healthcare system that is more effective, efficient, and egalitarian by embracing the revolutionary role of AI in healthcare..

Abstract

Avocado (Persea americana Mill.) is a plant that grows in tropical and sub-tropical climates, so it is very easy to grow in Indonesia. The use of avocado (Persea americana Mill.) as a medicinal plant has been widely used. People usually use avocado seeds as traditional medicine. The efficacy obtained is thought to be due to the presence of various phenolic compounds in the plant. This study aims to determine the phenolic content of ethanol extract in the seeds of avocado (Persea americana Mill.). Phenolic compounds in avocado seeds were extracted using the maceration method with ethanol solvent. The phenolic content was determined using the UV-visible spectrophotometry method with Follin-Ciocalteau reagent and gallic acid was used as a comparison. The results showed that the average phenolic content of ethanol extract of avocado seeds was 13.150 mg GAE/g extract.

Abstract

This review article explores the pivotal role of education in women's development. Education has long been recognized as a crucial factor in promoting gender equality and empowering women worldwide. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature and empirical studies, this review highlights the multifaceted ways in which education contributes to women's development across various domains. Education enhances women's economic empowerment by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and qualifications that improve their employability and income-earning potential. It enables women to break free from the cycle of poverty, providing opportunities for economic independence and financial stability. Moreover, education fosters entrepreneurship, allowing women to create and manage businesses, thereby contributing to economic growth and societal development. Education plays a fundamental role in promoting women's health and well-being. Educated women tend to have better knowledge of healthcare practices, leading to improved maternal and child health outcomes. They are more likely to make informed decisions about reproductive health, family planning, and disease prevention. Education also acts as a protective factor against early marriage, adolescent pregnancy, and gender-based violence, positively impacting women's physical and mental health. Further education serves as a catalyst for women's social and political empowerment. It enhances women's confidence, critical thinking, and leadership skills, enabling them to actively participate in decision-making processes at individual, community, and national levels. Education cultivates a sense of agency among women, challenging traditional gender roles and norms, and promoting gender equality. Increased educational attainment among women is associated with greater gender equality in society, reduced discrimination, and increased political representation. Additionally, education contributes to the advancement of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, which have traditionally been male-dominated. By providing equal educational opportunities, breaking down gender stereotypes, and fostering supportive learning environments, education empowers women to pursue careers in STEM, driving innovation, and bridging the gender gap in these fields. This review underscores the indispensable role of education in women's development. It highlights the transformative power of education in promoting economic empowerment, improving health outcomes, fostering social and political participation, and advancing women in traditionally male-dominated domains. Recognizing and investing in women's education is crucial for achieving gender equality, sustainable development, and creating a more inclusive and equitable society
