Abstract

The implementation of the surcharge (opsen) on Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Motor Vehicle Title Transfer Fee (BBNKB), as regulated by Law Number 1 of 2022 on Fiscal Relations between Central and Regional Governments, has created an urgent need to improve public tax literacy, particularly at the village level. Changes in the structure of motor vehicle taxation may lead to confusion, misunderstanding, and public resistance if not accompanied by adequate socialization. This community service program aims to enhance public understanding of the concept, legal basis, and mechanism of PKB and BBNKB surcharges, while fostering positive attitudes toward regional tax compliance. The activity was conducted in Tanah Grogot and Muara Samu Sub-districts, Paser Regency, using an educative and participatory approach through material presentations, interactive discussions, tax calculation simulations, and consultative assistance addressing real issues faced by the community. The implementation method involved collaboration among lecturers, students, and the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Paser Regency as the main partner. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of PKB, BBNKB, and surcharge structures, increased ability to critically interpret tax billing components, and a more positive attitude toward motor vehicle tax obligations. Moreover, the program facilitated constructive dialogue between the community and local government in resolving administrative tax issues. Overall, this community service contributes to strengthening tax literacy and supporting the sustainable optimization of regional tax revenues.

Abstract

Immunization is one of the preventions by using weakened germs or products that are then inserted into the body to obtain immunity against infectious diseases according to the product. Non-compliance with immunization can affect the source of disease transmission. Infectious diseases are a major problem in increasing morbidity and mortality rates in children. Low non-compliance with immunization in children results in children growing up in an unhealthy state. Factors that influence the occurrence of incomplete immunization due to the perception of parents that immunization is not necessary because it can cause children to become sick and less intelligent. The perception that arises in the community, especially mothers, can occur because of the lack of knowledge and attitudes related to immunization. In fact, the immunization program has shown effectiveness in preventing infectious diseases. The success of the immunization program cannot be separated from the knowledge and attitudes of mothers in immunizing their children. One of the effective interventions in increasing knowledge and attitudes is education. Education on immunization compliance like this is attempted to be an ongoing activity so that it can increase community immunization related to knowledge and attitudes in providing child immunization. The outcome of this program can be achieved according to national targets. In addition, compliance with immunization can save costs in preventing certain diseases.

This community service activity aims to improve the quality and technical compliance of Building Approval (Persetujuan Bangunan Gedung/PBG) documents through the involvement of a Professional Expert Team (Tim Profesi Ahli/TPA) in the development of a mini soccer field in Rambah Tengah Hilir Village, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia. The activity was conducted as technical and regulatory assistance to PBG applicants to ensure that planning documents comply with applicable regulations and technical standards. The implementation adopted a participatory technical assistance approach, including technical document compliance assessment, regulatory and technical consultation, and collaborative validation through the Building Information Management System (SIMBG). The assessment comprehensively covered general data, architectural aspects, structural design, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, referring to Government Regulation No. 16 of 2021, regulations of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and applicable Indonesian National Standards (SNI). The initial evaluation indicated that the documents were administratively complete; however, several technical non-compliances were identified, particularly in the structural and MEP aspects. Through continuous consultation and systematic revisions, all recommendations provided by the TPA were successfully addressed, resulting in full technical compliance and readiness for PBG approval.

Abstract

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, remains a global health problem. In Central Sulawesi province, hypertension is the most prevalent non-communicable disease. Similarly, North Morowali Regency has the highest number of non-communicable disease cases, with only 6.4% of the population regularly seeking health care. Left untreated and untreated, hypertension can lead to various dangerous complications, even death. Given this problem, efforts are needed to help lower blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. One way is to provide information and knowledge about the dangers of hypertension. This will increase public awareness and enhance the ability to address their hypertension. Therefore, through this community service, efforts were made to provide health education on hypertension and conduct direct blood pressure checks in the community in Moleono Village, West Petasia District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The results of this community service showed that many people suffer from hypertension, namely 44.28% of all participants. The community also actively asked questions during the health education and expressed a desire to obtain antihypertensive medication. Health education and blood pressure measurements are crucial for preventing an increase in prevalence, maintaining blood pressure control, and preventing complications.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed social media into a major catalyst for the economic empowerment of local communities. However, this potential is often hampered by the lack of public understanding of effective digital marketing strategies, which result in many local businesses still using the platform conventional and trapped in a medium-dominated commercial system. This community service activity aims to empower PKK mothers in Desa Mekarjaya, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat, by utilizing social media as a self-distribution channel. The implementation method uses a participatory-educative approach, with pre-test and post-test assessments to measure the increase in knowledge. Pre-test results show that the majority of participants have never received training on the economic benefits of social media and most use it only to communicate. Through extension, participants are taught practical strategies such as the technique of taking photos of products using mobile phones, creating persuasive product descriptions, and active communication to build customer trust. Materials are emphasized on the importance of recognizing the peculiarities of local products and consistent in posting to build a credible digital track record. Results showed significant improvement in participants’ understanding; the majority of respondents had understood the economic benefits of social media and considered it an effective new market for local business promotion, particularly local food. The activity successfully cuts the long distribution chain, enabling PKK mothers to control their product prices, increase profit margins, and build sustainable financial independence. Continuous mentoring is required to improve technical skills and further innovation.

Abstract

The improvement in living standards of the Samarinda community has increased the demand for safe and sharia-compliant financing alternatives, particularly murabahah-based financing. Although sharia credit business actors have implemented murabahah contracts, evaluations of their accounting practices have not been previously conducted. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to evaluate the implementation of murabahah accounting practices through discussion and knowledge-sharing activities with sharia credit business actors. The methods include object mapping, material preparation, interactive discussions, and activity evaluation using participant satisfaction questionnaires. The results indicate that murabahah transactions have generally complied with sharia principles; however, improvements are needed in accounting treatment to enhance transparency and accountability in financial reporting. This program provides positive social and economic impacts, strengthens the understanding of murabahah accounting practices among business actors, and enhances public trust in sharia-based credit transactions.
