Abstract

CV. XYZ is a manufacturing company whose main product is lightweight concrete bricks made in various sizes. Lightweight concrete brick with a thickness of 10 cm is the product that produces the highest defects compared to other products. The resulting defects have an average of 5% where this value exceeds the company's tolerance limit of 3-4%. Based on these problems, a study was conducted to determine the level of defects of lightweight concrete bricks and to provide suggestions for improvements to reduce defects. The research was conducted using the Seven Tools method and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). The results showed that the defect level of Lightweight Concrete Bricks from the highest to the lowest were chipped, cracked, uncut, and dimensional defects respectively. In addition, it can be seen that the Gompal failure mode with the cause of the disassembly or sorting process is too hard to produce the highest RPN score of 245, so that the recommendations for improvement need to be prioritized first.

Abstract

PT. ABC is a manufacturing company whose production line is railroad components. In the production process, there is backtracking in the production process so that the production process is less efficient. The purpose of this research is to compare the initial material handling layout mileage with the proposed layout. This study uses the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method to determine the layout proposals that will be provided with the help of Blocplan software. From the proposed layout, the total distance traveled for the passenger seat production process is 402.8 meters and at 277.8 meters the difference is 125 meters.

Abstract

AUTO2000 Basuki Rahmat is one of the branches dealer Toyota, which is located in the city of Surabaya, is engaged in services such as sales, maintenance, repair and supply of Toyota spare parts whose management is fully handled by the Astra Group. The company always strives to provide fast and accurate service, but customers spend quite a long time waiting because the car service process is relatively long. The long service time is caused by an unorganized operational system that causes waste (waste). Based on these problems, it is necessary to analyze Basuki Rahmat's car service services at AUTO2000 using the concept lean service by using the method value stream mapping, fishbone, and 5 whys. The research results obtained weight waste motion or transportation of 0.1481; waiting or delay of 0.1325; incorrect inventory of 0.1273; lack of customer’s focus of 0.1195; defect of 0.1065; duplication of 0.0935; overproduction of 0.0779; unclear communication of 0.0675; underutilized employees of 0.0675; And variation of 0.0597. Research recommendations that can be proposed to reduce waste including repairs layout, adding monitors on the service floor for matters of sending and receiving information, increasing the number of mechanics, making plans booking with different hours, making and applying the system tracking of the presence of the tool. Therefore, lead time the initial service service process of 170 minutes becomes lead time 128 minutes.

Abstract

PT. Z is one of the companies that produces steel plates located in Surabaya, East Java. Production process at PT. The Z fully uses machines that operate 24 hours a day. The bottleneck in the steel plate production process is that there are often breakdowns caused by people, machines, and materials. In the engine factor, there is often a machine breakdown that makes production stop. The smooth running of the production process is disrupted due to damage to the production machine. High downtime often occurs due to repairs and replacement of components in certain machine parts. Therefore the machine needs maintenance / maintenance (maintenance). Among all production machines, rolling mill machines are the machines with the highest downtime rates. The components in the rolling mill machine that cause the highest downtime of 12,851 minutes are roll components. This study intends to make a scheduling plan for roll replacement on rolling mill machines. The methodology used in this study is Preventive Maintenance by calculating its reliability and making a schedule for replacing and maintaining the machine. The results showed that the average roll replacement every 6 days with 63.21% reliability, and the average roll replacement process time was 131 minutes.

Abstract

PT. Romi Violeta is a furniture company engaged in the production of rattan and wood products for the global market. The problem that often occurs is that the Finger Joint machine often experiences damage to the engine components. Therefore, the objectives of this research are to identify critical components in the Finger Joint machine, develop a maintenance scheduling for the machine's components, and compare the maintenance costs before and after implementing the scheduling. The analysis revealed that the Hydraulic component has a cumulative value of 40%, followed by the Cutter component with a cumulative value of 34.4%, and the Air Hose component with a cumulative value of 5.6%. Consequently, a preventive maintenance schedule was determined, with the Hydraulic component requiring maintenance every 31 days, the Cutter component every 36 days, and the Air Hose component every 207 days. This resulted in a reduction in maintenance costs from the previous amount of Rp.5,200,000 to Rp.1,210,847.

Abstract

PK. Rosella Baru is a company operating in the plastic sack industry. In the production process of plastic sacks, there are several stages, including the production of plastic thread. The company still encounters a significant number of defects in the plastic thread, exceeding 2%, resulting in obstacles in the weaving process of the sacks and suboptimal production output. The research utilizes the Statistical Process Control method to identify solutions for quality control of the plastic thread products at PK. Rosella Baru. Based on the Pareto diagram, the most dominant defect is found in the unevenness of thread rolls, accounting for 43.3% of the defects. The control chart analysis shows that there are samples exceeding the upper control limit (UCL) in samples 1 and 9, and data exceeding the lower control limit (LCL) in samples 3 and 6. The cause and effect diagram identifies five factors: labor, machine, material, method, and environment. The most dominant cause is the lack of training for the workforce and insufficient maintenance of the machines, resulting in defective plastic thread. Therefore, the suggested solution is to perform regular machine maintenance, provide training to the workforce, and pay attention to machine settings and the quality of raw materials used.

Abstract

Miwon Indonesia is one of the companies that started as a company in 1973, the company finally changed the company's name with PT. Daesang Ingredients Indonesia The research method used is Preventive Maintenance, in this study researchers analyzed the time between laminating machine damage to the Chamber Box Heater component, the data taken was the Laminating machine down time data in July – December 2022 The results of analysis and data processing showed that the level of component reliability, namely for the chamber box heater component of 0.5892 occurred on day 5. And while the press roll rewinder component obtained a reliability level of 0.5925 on day 7. And the results of the calculation of costs before preventive maintenance are obtained at a cost of Rp. 47,953,572 per 6 months and costs after preventive maintenance are obtained at Rp. 29,677,876 per 6 months. With a difference of Rp.18,285,696. From the results of preventive maintenance costs, it can reduce maintenance costs at PT. Daesang Ingredients Indonesia than before preventive maintenance calculations are carried out.

Abstract

Papungan’s one of the villages in Blitar Regency where most of the population are farmers and mostly cultivate rice crops. The effort was made by farmers to meet the needs of the community, but still in limited quantities. From the results of interviews with farmers in Papungan village, they complained a lot because the rice crop was still relatively low, due to the scarcity and high price of fertilizers. By making PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteri) organic nutrients, it is a consortium of bacteria that actively colonize plant roots which play an important role in increasing plant growth, crop yields and land fertility. This study aims to optimize the profitability of rice farming in Pappungan Village. The results of the profit optimization calculation using the Goal Programming method. This study uses primary and secondary dta, and the purpose of this study aims to solve the problem of limited resources optimally with the Goal Programming method. Based on the results of the discussion of calculations using the goal programming method, the conclusion of the optimization of rice crops and applied using LINGO software, obtained optimal results, namely Z = 424.7647 with three goals achieved, among others, the production yield reached 27,640 Kg and the selling price of rice crop production reached Rp 18,000 / Kg with production costs required for rice crop production for per hectare of Rp 61,980,000. For the results of the goal achieved (goal) optimization of crop patterns, Papungan Village farmers are recommended to plant type B rice.

Abstract

Company CV. AM Nanda Putra is located in Sidoarjo and operates in the scaffolding industry. Currently the company is experiencing losses due to a lack of optimization in planning the amount and time of ordering raw materials, which results in shortages and excess material inventory. To overcome this problem, the company uses the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) method in optimizing raw material planning. In terms of the lot sizing approach, the company applies the LFL and EOQ methods. The forecasting methods used are Moving Average (MA), Weight Moving Average (WMA), and Exponential Smoothing (ES). The smallest MAD results were obtained using the Exponential Smoothing (ES) method for all scaffolding products. The forecasting results are obtained to determine the MPS (Master Production Schedule) for the next 10 months. After the determination of MPS, the results of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) were obtained, namely the supply of raw materials for MF 170 AM scaffolding of 35402 units or 17700 sets, MF 170 K1 scaffolding of 28906 units or 14453 sets, MF 190 AM scaffolding of 16250 units or 8125 sets, and MF 190 K1 scaffolding of 7656 units or 3828 sets. From the results of calculating the cost of raw material requirements using the Lot for Lot (LFL) method and the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, it can be seen that the total cost of planning the smallest raw material inventory with an amount of Rp. 12,975,818,022.

Abstract

PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is a company that produces cement and runs the production process 24 hours a day. The company uses Roto Packer in its packaging process. In carrying out machine maintenance efforts, the company has implemented a maintenance system, namely preventive maintenance. However, even though preventive maintenance has been carried out, the company still experiences downtime on the spring load cell components. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out an analysis in order to determine the time between breakdowns, breakdown times, and arrange optimal maintenance schedules for spring load cell components. This study uses the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to develop preventive maintenance activities that have been scheduled by the company. The results obtained, for the spring load cell component, component replacement must be carried out every 4 days with a replacement time of 49 minutes and a reliability of 39.87%.
