Abstract

Divisi DMS PT XYZ menghadapi permasalahan meningkatnya cycle time produksi akibat aktivitas non-value added yang dipicu oleh motion, transportation, dan waiting waste. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan beberapa proses pada komponen Top Plate dan Yoke tidak mencapai target waktu produksi yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sumber pemborosan, menganalisis kontribusinya terhadap cycle time, serta merumuskan usulan perbaikan berbasis Lean Manufacturing untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses. Metode yang digunakan meliputi Value Stream Mapping (VSM) untuk memetakan aliran proses, Process Activity Mapping (PAM) untuk mengklasifikasikan aktivitas value added (VA), non-value added (NVA), dan necessary non-value added (NNVA), serta analisis akar masalah melalui pendekatan 5 Why. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total waktu proses komponen Top Plate sebesar 5.470 detik dengan persentase VA 57%, sementara komponen Yoke memiliki total waktu 1.675 detik dengan persentase VA 41%, sehingga lebih dari separuh waktu proses terserap aktivitas tanpa nilai tambah. Melalui usulan perbaikan seperti standarisasi kerja, pengurangan aktivitas tidak perlu, optimalisasi handling operator, dan re-layout area produksi, proses bubut 1, proses bubut 2, dan proses bor yang sebelumnya tidak mencapai target kini memenuhi standar waktu perusahaan. Selain menurunkan cycle time, implementasi usulan perbaikan juga menghasilkan estimasi efisiensi biaya tenaga kerja sebesar Rp 378.393,75 untuk Top Plate dan Rp 263.025 untuk Yoke dalam satu shift. Dengan demikian, Lean Manufacturing terbukti efektif dalam meminimalkan waste, meningkatkan produktivitas, dan mendukung perbaikan sistem produksi secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The impact of information technology developments has influenced various business processes in many fields, including the textile and garment manufacturing industry. The application of technologies such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics, and automation systems has increased production efficiency, optimized supply chains, and enabled data-based decision-making. This research aims to analyze various trends, opportunities, and challenges in the application and use of information technology in textile and garment manufacturing companies to provide a comprehensive overview of this industry. A systematic literature review was conducted by analyzing articles related to the research topic. The final results of the study indicate that digitalization is the most widely adopted technology in the textile and garment sector. Several other technological innovations have not been widely adopted, indicating that there are still opportunities that can be developed so that the use of information technology in the industry can be maximized.
