Abstract

Abstract

Internalization of spiritual values is the process of instilling and integrating values derived from spiritual teachings into an individual's self, thus becoming part of their daily thought patterns, attitudes, and behaviors. In the educational context, low academic honesty, such as cheating, plagiarism, and assignment manipulation, indicates an integrity crisis that cannot be addressed solely through rules and sanctions. Therefore, Guidance and Counseling (BK) has a strategic role in developing an approach that is not only oriented towards cognitive aspects but also touches on the affective and spiritual dimensions of students. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach (library research), namely by analyzing various scientific sources such as books, journals, and previous research results relevant to the concept of internalizing spiritual values, BK services, and academic honesty. This study focuses on how the process of internalizing spiritual values can be integrated into BK services as a preventive measure and character development. The results of the study indicate that internalization of spiritual values in BK can be carried out through the stages of understanding values, appreciating meaning, habituating behavior, and self-reflection. Values such as honesty, responsibility, trustworthiness, and integrity are instilled through individual counseling, group guidance, and classical services that emphasize intrinsic moral awareness. A spiritual approach helps students recognize that honesty is not merely an academic obligation, but rather a moral commitment aligned with their beliefs and the meaning of life. Thus, internalizing spiritual values through guidance and counseling is an effective and sustainable strategy for enhancing academic honesty and developing students' character with integrity

Abstract

Indonesia ranks 13th in the world for the highest number of COVID-19 cases. To prevent the spread, the government has implemented social distancing. Almost all places have temporarily closed, including educational institutions. This situation has impacted changes in people's behavior, both in social and educational aspects, particularly the learning process in higher education. This study focuses on a social problem, namely students' awkwardness in interacting, known as social interaction anxiety. In response, individuals can adapt and survive in their social environment, known as resilience. This condition also affects psychological well-being, which is important for self-actualization and development. This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience and psychological well-being simultaneously with social interaction anxiety in students after the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is a quantitative approach with a psychological scale instrument. The sampling technique used incidental sampling with 505 students as respondents. Data analysis used multiple regression with SPSS 22.0. The results show a significant relationship with a fairly strong correlation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines academic burnout among Muslim university students and explores the recovery process through Islamic counseling based on Islamic Reframing. Previous studies have largely discussed burnout from psychological, cognitive, and social perspectives, while the spiritual dimension remains underexplored in Muslim student contexts. Using a qualitative case study design, this research focused on one Muslim student, identified as ZF, who experienced emotional exhaustion, declining learning motivation, and negative self-perceptions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews during individual counseling sessions, clinical observation, and counseling documentation. The data were analyzed reflectively by tracing changes in cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual dimensions. The findings show that Islamic Reframing works as a cognitive-spiritual recovery mechanism. By integrating cognitive restructuring with Islamic values such as niyyah, ikhtiar, tawakkal, sabr, and amanah, the counselee reinterpreted academic pressure not as personal failure but as part of a meaningful learning process. The study contributes to Islamic Guidance and Counseling by offering an operational model that integrates CBT and Islamic counseling for addressing academic burnout.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to describe the level of peer social support of BKPI IAIN Takengon students, (2) to determine the level of learning outcomes of BKPI IAIN Takengon students, (3) to determine whether there is an influence of peer social support on the learning outcomes of BKPI IAIN Takengon students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The study population was 156 students with a sample of 112 students determined using stratified random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires to measure peer social support and documentation in the form of Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) data. Data analysis used descriptive tests, normality tests, and Pearson correlation tests. The results of the study showed (1) Descriptively, student peer support was in the fairly good to good category, with the majority in the range of 70–84, (2) the average value of learning outcomes was 3.67 in the satisfactory academic value, (3) That the correlation value between peer social support and learning outcomes was r = -0.059 with a significance value of p = 0.535 > 0.05. This indicates that there is no significant influence between peer social support and student learning outcomes. The conclusion of this study is that peer social support does not significantly influence the learning outcomes of BKPI IAIN Takengon students. Learning outcomes are more influenced by internal factors such as motivation, learning independence, and learning strategies. Nevertheless, peer social support still plays an important role in the social and psychological aspects of students.
