Abstract

This article examines the effectiveness of shalat (Islamic prayer) as a therapeutic intervention in reducing anxiety among individuals with psychological disorders. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, with a research design that integrates numerical and narrative data analysis to provide a comprehensive overview of the impact of shalat. The findings indicate that shalat significantly reduces anxiety levels, with an average decrease of 25% among participants who regularly engage in the practice. Additionally, shalat enhances overall mental well-being, accelerates psychological recovery, and strengthens spiritual resilience. Factors such as the frequency of prayer, the quality of khusyuk (focused devotion), and a supportive environment are crucial to the therapy's effectiveness. The data show that participants who perform shalat with deep focus in a calm environment report more positive outcomes. These findings support the potential of shalat as a supplementary method in anxiety therapy, offering an integrative and spiritual alternative for mental health treatment.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in reducing anxiety symptoms and improving mood stability in patients with bipolar disorder at an Islamic hospital. The research employs an experimental method with a randomized controlled trial (RCT) design, dividing participants into two groups: one receiving individual CBT and the other participating in group CBT. Data were collected from patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder and comorbid anxiety, using surveys, structured interviews, and psychometric tools such as the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS). The results show that CBT significantly reduced average anxiety scores by 48% after 12 therapy sessions, both in individual and group formats. Social support in group therapy enhanced the effectiveness of CBT in reducing anxiety and improving mood stability. Additionally, the duration of therapy influenced outcomes, with participants undergoing more than 12 sessions showing more stable results. However, challenges in adherence to CBT tasks outside of therapy sessions were noted, indicating the need for a more flexible approach to increase patient engagement. The study concludes that CBT is an effective intervention in the context of an Islamic hospital for patients with bipolar disorder and anxiety.

Abstract

This article explores the effectiveness of ruqyah syar'iyyah therapy in improving the mental well-being of patients through a quantitative approach. The method used is a pre-test and post-test survey involving 25 patients undergoing ruqyah syar'iyyah therapy. The research design is descriptive and analytical, with data collected by measuring anxiety scores before and after therapy, as well as through interviews with patients and practitioners. The results show a significant decrease in the average anxiety score from 78 to 51 after therapy. Additionally, 70% of patients reported mood improvement and stress reduction. Interviews with practitioners also confirmed significant improvements in patients' emotional conditions, with 80% of patients feeling more satisfied with this therapy compared to other methods. The average increase in emotional well-being scores of 25% indicates that ruqyah syar'iyyah therapy is not only effective in reducing anxiety but also has a positive impact on overall emotional well-being. These findings support the potential of this therapy as an alternative in psychological practice for addressing mental health issues.
