Abstract

The cohort register is an instrument for recording health services for pregnant women at the Public Health Center, which is a complete and continuous collection of all data. Each midwife provides services in the building and outside the building immediately takes notes. Compliance, consistency of midwives and the recording system of the Public Health Center greatly influenced the results of the data in the cohort register. A valid and reliable data source is a tool in the advocacy of policy makers in the progress of the program quickly and on target. The purpose of this study was to explore the implementation of the maternal cohort register by the midwife coordinating the Public Health Center. The research design used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection using in-depth interview techniques (depth interview) with semi-structured questions with a sample of 8 informants. The results showed that there was no Standard Operating Procedure for recording system services for pregnant women, resulting in no evaluation of service quality. The recording of K1 and K4 has been carried out. Revisits outside K1, K2, K3 and K4 and visits outside the region were not recorded in the cohort register. Data processing by grouping, tracing and validating data has not been maximal. Lack of understanding of the coordinating midwife, lack of supervision, training and evaluation from the Public Health Center and the Health Office are obstacles in the implementation of the mother cohort register by the coordinating midwife.

Abstract

CCA interest in using an IUD as an IUD (Contraception Tool in the Womb) in the work area of the Sugihwaras Community Health Center is still low. This is caused by several factors. The purpose of this research is to find out the most dominant factor influencing CCA interest in using an IUD as a contraceptive device in the work area of the Puskesmas Sugihwaras Bojonegoro. The design of this study used an observational method with a cross sectional approach. With a population of all couples of childbearing age who use the IUD as a contraceptive in the work area of the Sugihwaras Health Center, which is 175 people. By using purposive sampling technique obtained a sample size of 122 respondents. The independent variables in this study were acceptor confidence, service quality, environmental culture, and family support. While the dependent variable is CCA interest in using an IUD as a contraceptive. The results showed that the p value for the acceptor confidence variable was 0.017 <0.05 so that the acceptor confidence variable had an influence on the acceptor's interest. P value of service quality 0,000 <0.05 so that service quality variables have an influence on the acceptor's interest. P value of environmental culture 0.035 <0.05 so that environmental culture has an influence on the acceptor's interest. P value of family support 0.001 <0.05 so that family support has an influence on the acceptor's interest. Of all the independent variables that have the strongest signification value is service quality. So the hypothesis is accepted. That means that service quality is the factor that has the most influence on CCA interest in using an IUD as a contraceptive in the work area of the Sugihwaras Community Health Center.

Abstract

Prevalence of anemia in children in Indonesia is still quite high. Parents' behavior in preventing anemia in children is still lacking. Health promotion model (HPM) with a Pender's model is needed. This study was aimed to develop a model of health promotion with a Pender theory approach to maternal behavior on the prevention of childhood anemia. Quasi Experiment with Pre and Post Test design was conducted in Kubutambahan II Primary Health Care. Data was collected in 100 respondents and analyzed by Mc Nemar test. The results showed there was an effect of health promotion on mother's knowledge of anemia prevention (p = 0,000). There was no effect of health promotion on mother's attitudes of anemia prevention (p = 0.845). There is an effect of health promotion on the actions/behavior of mothers regarding the prevention of anemia in children (p = 0,000). The developing health promotion based on the HPM approach can increase knowledge and behavior about preventing anemia. Health promotion by conducting outreach to the community needs to be carried out continuously by involving all aspects such as health workers, community leaders, community health workers and families to improve community health status.

Abstract

Background: Breast milk is the best food for babies. But breastmilk production which is little or not smooth in the first days of delivery becomes an obstacle in breastfeeding. The study conducted by Collin and a scot in Australia showed that 556 mothers gave birth as many as 29% had stopped breastfeeding their babies in the second week on the grounds that their milk was lacking. The lack of milk production causes many mothers to easily provide prelacteal foods. This prelacteal feeding causes the amount of exclusive breastfeeding to decrease. Purpose: To obtain a scientific reference source about lactation massage, which in previous studies can increase milk production in postpartum mothers. Methods: This study is a metadata analysis using a literature review that explores the benefits of massage to increase milk production. Literature sources used are journals from Pubmed, Garuda (garba rujukan digital), Doaj, Researchgate and Google Scholar. Results: With the principle of working to maximize the mechanism of prolactin and oxytocin receptors, lactation massage is a solution to overcome the smooth production of breast milk and minimize the side effects of delayed breastfeeding. In a study conducted by Aprilianti, lactation massage had a tendency to rapid onset of lactation 5.57 times greater than mothers who received oxytocin massage. Conclusion: This article tries to examine the problem of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers based on literature review. In general the role of lactation massage is successful in smoothing milk production, but there are a number of things that need to be evaluated.

Abstract

The trend of prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) such as hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, and cancer has increased for the last few decades among low and midle income-countries including Indonesia. Based on the results of Basic Health Resarch performed in Indonesia in 2013, the prevalence of hypertension was 25.8 %, diabetes mellitus was 6.9 %, central obesity was 26.6 %, and stroke was 1.2 %. The cause of NCD is multi-factorial and the main risk factors are high consumption of sugar, salt, and fat, low consumption of vegetables and fruit, overweight, lack of physical activity, and smoking habit. Lower income countries such as Indonesia are beginning to experience disease patterns like high-income countries, as more processed foods are incorporated into diets in a nutrition transition, with less of the necessary healthcare resources to cope with increased disease burden. Globally, obesity or Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 30 kg/m2 was estimated to have been the cause of 3.4 million deaths in 2010. Excess sugar consumption, particularly consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) is a well- documented, significant causal factor for weight gain. Several studies have found increases in BMI per additional daily serve of SSB and decreases in BMI when SSB consumption is reduced. Excess body mass is a significant risk factor for many NCDs such as ischemic heart disease (IHD), stroke, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and various cancers, with the associated morbidity and mortality contributing to rising healthcare costs and reduced productivity. Excess sugar consumption directly increases the risk of T2DM, mediated through both the risk due to higher weight and directly through inflammatory mechanisms triggered by elevated blood sugars.
