Abstract

Competition in the bottled water industry in eastern Indonesia is increasingly fierce, requiring companies to increase brand awareness to influence consumer purchasing intention. Brand awareness is an important factor that can drive purchase intention, especially for products with a low level of involvement such as mineral water. This study aims to analyze the effect of brand awareness on the purchase intention of Aquviva mineral water products among consumers in Jayapura City. The research method used is quantitative and data were collected through distributing questionnaires to consumers who are aware of Aquviva products in Jayapura City. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling using SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that brand awareness has a positive and significant effect on the purchase intention of Aquviva mineral water products. This finding indicates that the higher the level of consumer awareness of the Aquviva brand, the higher the consumer's purchase intention. This study is expected to be a reference for companies in designing marketing strategies that focus on increasing brand awareness to encourage consumer purchase intention.

Abstract

The international mobility of Indonesian women migrant workers constitutes a global phenomenon that is closely associated with a high risk of human rights violations, particularly due to inadequate legal protection during both the placement process and the period of employment. Labour recruitment agencies play a strategic role as key actors responsible for ensuring the fulfilment of women migrant workers’ rights from the pre-departure stage through placement and post-placement phases. This study aims to analyse the legal framework and the implementation of the legal responsibilities of labour recruitment agencies in guaranteeing the rights of Indonesian women migrant workers employed overseas. This research adopts an empirical legal research method, employing an integrative approach that combines a statutory analysis of key regulations particularly Law Number 18 of 2017 on the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers with a sociological approach to examine the institutional behaviour of labour recruitment agencies in carrying out their legal obligations. The findings indicate that although Law Number 18 of 2017 normatively provides comprehensive regulations regarding the duties and responsibilities of labour recruitment agencies, its implementation in practice remains suboptimal. The primary weaknesses are found in legal education for workers, assistance during the placement period, monitoring systems, and post-contract protection mechanisms, which tend to be administrative in nature and insufficiently oriented towards rights restoration. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening state supervision, integrating inter-agency protection systems, and reinforcing the accountability of labour recruitment agencies as agents of legal and social protection in order to achieve fair, humane, and sustainable protection for women migrant workers.

Abstract

Digitizing land services through electronic land certificates is part of the digital public administration agenda in Indonesia. However, its implementation still faces serious challenges related to system interoperability between agencies. This study aims to analyze strategies for developing electronic land certificate interoperability in land administration in Indonesia. The study used a qualitative approach with an exploratory design through semi-structured interviews, policy document studies, and thematic analysis. The results indicate that interoperability is suboptimal due to system fragmentation, regulatory disharmony, and limited cross-agency coordination. This study emphasizes that interoperability is not merely a technical issue but also an issue of digital public administration governance. This research contributes to the development of a strategic framework for land administration interoperability that focuses on legal certainty and effective public services.

Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical evidence of the influence of the implementation of good governance principles and internal audit function on fraud in the management of BOS (School Operational Assistance) funds in Bengkulu City. This research is classified as descriptive quantitative research. Data were collected through online questionnaires distributed to respondents. The research respondents consisted of BOS fund managers in elementary and junior high schools, including school principals of BOSP treasurers. The sample was selected using a simple random sampling technique, with a total of 168 respondents. The analytical methods used include descriptive analysis and regression analysis. The results show that the implementation of good governance principles and internal audit has a significant negative effect on fraud in the management of BOS funds in Bengkulu City. This indicates that the application of good governance principles and the effective implementation of internal audit functions can narrow the space for irregularities to occur and serve as mechanisms for early detection and prevention of misuse and mismanagement of BOS funds.

This study aims to analyze post-disaster community empowerment efforts in West Java Province. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection was conducted through documentation studies related to the research. The results indicate that natural disasters in West Java over the past ten years have been dominated by floods, landslides, and earthquakes, which have had a significant impact on human safety, infrastructure damage, and disruption to the community's social and economic conditions. The most severe impacts are felt in the post-disaster phase, when communities face loss of livelihoods, limited economic access, housing damage, and psychosocial trauma. Therefore, post-disaster community empowerment is crucial for restoring independence and social resilience through economic recovery, community-based rehabilitation and reconstruction, capacity building and mitigation education, and social and psychosocial support. This allows communities to recover, recover, and become more resilient in the face of potential future disasters.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of job characteristics and employee engagement on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among frontline public service workers in Indonesia, specifically within the Public Infrastructure and Facilities Maintenance Unit (PPSU), referred to as the “Orange Troops.” We used a quantitative explanatory research design to get data from 96 PPSU employees using a structured questionnaire. Job characteristics were assessed utilizing the Job Characteristics Model, employee engagement was evaluated through the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) was quantified using recognized multidimensional frameworks. We used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data. The results show that both job characteristics (β = 0.430, p < 0.001) and employee engagement (β = 0.305, p = 0.001) positively and significantly affect OCB. The model explains 43% of the variance in OCB (R² = 0.43), indicating a moderate level of predictive power. These findings suggest that employees are more likely to exhibit discretionary, prosocial behaviors when their jobs are meaningful, autonomous, and well-structured, and when they feel engaged and committed to their work. This research enhances the public sector organizational behavior literature by emphasizing the essential functions of job characteristics and engagement in promoting organizational citizenship behavior among urban service employees. In practice, companies can improve OCB by making jobs more compelling and keeping employees engaged through initiatives that recognize, support, and help them grow.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of objectification of teenage female characters in Sofia Coppola's film, The Virgin Suicides (1999). The study employs feminist theory, focusing on Martha Nussbaum's (1995) classification of objectification and Laura Mulvey's (1975) theory of the male gaze. Mise-en-scène is the primary framework for describing the representation of objectification experienced by the Lisbon princesses. The analysis shows that the film consistently uses mise-en-scène to depict the objectification of the Lisbon princesses as objects for the fulfillment of male desires and fantasies. The study identifies six of the seven forms of objectification defined by Nussbaum, with instrumentality, inertness, and fungibility as the most dominant.

Abstract

The participation of first-time voters serves as a critical benchmark for democratic regeneration. However, evaluations of political education programs organized by government agencies, such as the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), often focus on administrative compliance rather than substantive impact. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of political education programs in Magelang City using a systems approach (Input-Output Model). Employing a quantitative explanatory survey method, this research involved 49 high school/vocational students selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression to examine the influence of Input dimensions (resources and facilities) and Output dimensions (comprehension and intention) on Political Participation Interest. Statistical analysis revealed an intriguing anomaly: the Input dimension showed no significant effect (\bm{p > 0.05}), whereas the Output dimension demonstrated a positive and significant influence (\bm{p < 0.05}). Simultaneously, both variables significantly affected participation interest. These findings indicate that for Generation Z, physical facilities and formalities function merely as "hygiene factors," while substantive understanding serves as the primary "motivator." This study recommends a policy reorientation from ceremonial approaches toward content-quality enhancement to effectively boost political engagement.
