Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students’ response on how effective it is in hiring professional native English speakers in helping new learners to master their speaking skill. Foreign instructors can not only help in improving the speaking skill of the beginners, but they can also help to modify the optimal learning environment that can familiarise the beginners in the learning activities they are doing. Foreign professionals who are proposed to educate beginners must master teaching skill and be good at using 21st century technology. In this research paper, the experimental method is used to study this experiment. The main purpose is to find out if hiring native English speakers is very effective in helping beginners to master their speaking skills. The results found show that hiring a professional native English speaker is very effective in helping beginners in mastering speaking skills because in addition to the knowledge gained, speaking with a native English speaker directly helps beginners in speaking English.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of consumer behavior on purchasing decisions for hydroponic vegetables at Puccan Hydroponics. The results of the analysis show that there are 4 factors considered, namely Product, Price, Place, and Promotion on Purchase Decision using multiple linear regression analysis. The population is hydroponic vegetable consumers at Puccan Hydroponics with a total sample of 30 respondents. The sampling technique in this study was the accidental sampling method. Based on the research results, from the results of the F test it can be seen that the variables Product, Price, Place, and Promotion together have a significant effect on the Purchase Decision variable. From the results of the T test it can be seen that the price variable partially influences purchasing decisions, while the product, place, and Promotion does not partially influence the Purchase Decision. From the test results of the coefficient of determination, Product, Price, Distribution, and Promotion variables contribute 90% to the Purchasing Decision variable. While 10% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

In the era of free market trade, competition is getting tougher. It is necessary to find a special market to boost the selling price of melons. High quality fruit offered will deserve a high selling price. The purpose of marketing margin analysis is to see the marketing efficiency indicated by the amount of profit received by each marketing actor. Based on the calculation of marketing margins and farmershare of the two marketing channels, channel I has the same amount of margin for grades A, B, and C have the same marketing margin of Rp 6000/kg. The farmer share value of channel I pattern for grade A is 70%, grade B is 62.5%, and grade C is 57.1%. Channel pattern II has a total margin for grade A of Rp 26,000/kg, grade B of Rp 20,000, and grade C of Rp 17,000/kg. The farmer share value of channel pattern II for grade A is 35%, grade B is 33.3%, and grade C is 32%. It can be concluded that the most efficient channel pattern in melon fruit sales at the Green House of Balitar Islamic University in Blitar City is channel pattern I, because it has the shortest marketing chain, namely producers directly to consumers.

Abstract

This study, which was conducted by two researchers, had the objective of analyzing the intertextuality of the short story literary works "Only Cue" by Dewi Lestari and "Love" by Guy De Maupassant. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis and literature study. The data in this study were obtained from data relevant to the problem or topic under study by conducting literature studies from several sources, for example research journals with several previous studies. The results of the study show that there are similarities in the themes and messages conveyed by the author, namely about love and sacrifice, although there are differences in the depiction of the characters in the story. The plot of the story also has differences, "Just a hint" uses a progressive plot while "Love" uses a "flashback" plot

Abstract

The present study has the intention to create, validate, evaluate the effectiveness, and gain responses toward the developed product of Easy listening audio for enhancing the eight grade students’ listening learning outcomes in Blitar It was achieved by adapting Sugiyono's frameworks of developing the product into seven phases which covered; 1) problems identification and, solution identification, 2) designing and developing the product,3) validating and revising the product, 4) conducting product trials,5) collecting feedback from teachers and students, 6) evaluating and revising the product, and 7) finalizing it for publication. The research reported that the Easy Listening Audio comprised audio listening materials describing people, things, and animals, and three guidebooks for teachers, students, and the public. The validation process confirmed that the developed product was highly valid, with material validators rating it at 95% and media validators at 89%. The effectiveness of the product was also evident from the t-test results, which showed a value of less than 0.005, indicating a significant improvement in learning outcomes. Additionally, users responded positively to the product, with 91.6% of students rating it as "Very good" and 78.5% of teachers rating it as "Good." Therefore, it is recommended that teachers consider using the developed Easy Listening Audio as an alternative medium, particularly for teaching listening descriptive text in junior high schools

Abstract

Peking duck is one of the superior ducks that breeders are interested in keeping. Maintaining broiler ducks often occurs with several obstacles including mortality, high feed conversion and target body weight couldn’t achieve. The use of probiotics generally gives a positive response on livestock performance. This study aims to determine the performance of local Peking ducks with the addition of commercial probiotics (Probac) with different levels. The study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Experimental level with P0 (without probiotics), P1 (1g/kg feed probiotics), P2 (2g/kg feed probiotics), P3 (3kg/kg feed probiotics) The variables observed were body weight, feed conversion and mortality. The best results showed that the use of a commercial probiotic (Probac) with a P2 level (2g/kg feed) had an effect on body weight, but had no effect on feed conversion and mortality in local Peking ducks. It is recommended to use a commercial probiotic (Probac) at a dose of 2g/kg of feed to increase the performance of local Peking ducks

Abstract

The change in the curriculum demands that students as prospective teachers must be able to master all components of the curriculum. One of the mandatory skills to possess is the ability to develop teaching materials. Initial observation indicates that students still have difficulty understanding the content and technology integration in the independent curriculum, even though TPACK is the main capital that teachers must possess in the 21st century. This research aims to describe the TPACK abilities of students in developing teaching materials for the independent curriculum. This study is qualitative research. The subjects of this study are 21 fourth-semester PGSD UNISBA students. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, field notes, and documentation. The results of the study show that the TPACK abilities of students in developing independent curriculum teaching materials are: TK component with a good percentage of 81%, CK component 76%, PK component 71%, PCK component 57%, TPK component 67%, and TCK component 57%. The ability of students to develop teaching materials for the independent curriculum shows that their PCK and TCK abilities are constrained by their low understanding of the process and principles of the independent curriculum

Abstract

This study conducted to determine the differences of Postal cage and Stage cage on the performance of Peking Duck in Body Weight, feed conversion, and mortality. The material used in the study was 600 Peking ducks were raised separately in postal cage and stage cage with common diet from DOD (Days Old Duck) to 35 day of age. This research was a quantitative descriptive research that interpreted data from research samples, analyzed by student T test that is used to compare the means of two groups that is Peking ducklings were raised in postal cage and stage cage. The results showed that the Body Weight, FCR, and Mortality of Peking Ducks were reared in Postal Cage is 1,54, 1,94 and 1,5% while the ducks that were kept in Stage Cage is 1.53, 1,95 and 2,5%. The results indicated that there was no difference in the performance (Body weight, FCR, and Mortality) of Peking ducks housed in postal and stage cage. However, based on the average values for body weight, FCR, and mortality, the postal cage provides the best results.

Abstract

It’s been being public consumption globally the news about new disease that came from Wuhan, China. This also caused a lot of anxiety to the several levels of society. Because, the transmission of this disease is very fast. Its called severe acute respiratory syndrom (SARS) that has been appeared in mid-December 2019. This time it appear with a new form called SARS-CoV-2 as the caused of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic which causes respiratory system disorder, acute pneumonia, until death. With the information that determines the percentage of virus transmission above make Indonesian people in particular experience excessive anxiety to the death will cause emotional dysfunction such neuroticism, depression, and psycosomatic disorder. With a massive news development of this Covid-19 everyday as the news headline, the government try to enforce the new normal policies that will no border to the public activity of course with the awarness of the health protocol. The perception that formed in to college student about the news of confirmation pandemic invasion of Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and new normal life on social media instagram between one to another was not the same because affected by several factors and caused some perception effect to the communicant. Such as cognitive effect, affection effect, and behavioral effect that surely affect to the their daily activity.

Abstract

Poster adalah media yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan hal-hal penting atau informasi, saran, pesan, ide, dan gagasan sehingga dapat merangsang pembaca untuk melihat dan membacanya. Poster berisi gambar dan teks yang menarik. Berdasarkan observasi di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Blitar, selama proses pembelajaran dan melalui wawancara dengan siswa dan guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia masih banyak siswa yang kurang tertarik dengan proses pembelajaran khususnya materi menulis poster. Banyak siswa yang masih kesulitan menemukan ide saat membuat poster. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian 4D. Hasil penilaian dari responden yaitu ahli materi, ahli media, guru bahasa Indonesia, dan siswa didapatkan hasil yaitu ahli materi dengan 2 aspek komponen mendapatkan persentase sebesar 81,5% yang berarti layak untuk dilaksanakan. Ahli media dengan 2 aspek komponen mendapatkan persentase sebesar 87% yang berarti sangat layak untuk diterapkan. Guru Bahasa Indonesia dengan 4 aspek komponen mendapatkan persentase sebesar 95,7% yang berarti sangat layak untuk diterapkan. Siswa dengan 3 aspek komponen mendapatkan persentase 89,3% yang berarti sangat layak untuk diterapkan. Dari hasil persentase keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media fotonovela sangat layak untuk diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan.
