Abstract

It is widely known that teacher-centered learning still dominates the current teaching and learning practice. This practice leads to an ineffective learning process since the students are not optimally engaged in it. Additionally, the teachers’ challenge is growing due to the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.To address these challenges, this study developed a flipped classroom named the Plan, Flip, Assess, and Reflect (PFAR) model for teaching English at primary school. This model is able to transform the traditional learning into an interactive learning process by mixturing online and face-to-face learning. The PFAR model consists of four steps: 1) planning the lesson; 2) flipping the lesson; 3) assessing learning; and 4) reflecting upon learning. The steps in developing this model include 1) need analysis; 2) design and development; 3) validation and revision; 4) preliminary field test; 5) product revision; 6) main field test; and 7) final revision and dissemination. These processes lead to a production of the PFAR model. The result of validation revealed that the quality of the PFAR model was between good and excellent. They agreed that the PFAR model is beneficial for English teachers at primary school.The result of experiment also indicated that the PFAR model had a significant effect on the students’ English speaking skill. It significantly improved the students’ speaking skill. English teachers of primary school can directly adopt or adapt the PFAR model to create an effective and interactive learning process after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pada kurikulum 2013 pemerintah menghapuskan bahasa Inggris yang awalnya sebagai muatan lokal wajib menjadi tidak wajib. Sehingga kemampuan Bahasa Inggri1 siswa yang harusnya meningkat menjadikan bahasa Inggris sesuatu yang lebih asing lagi. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa SD dan SMP. Tim Abdimas menggunakan teori Total Physical Response untuk menambah dan menguatkan kosa-kata siswa. Di samping itu, tim Abdimas juga mengundang Native Speaker berkebangsaan Italia dan Australia untuk memberikan pengarahan kepada siswa-siswi tentang pembelajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa kedua di negara mereka. Sehingga siswa menjadi dekat dengan Bahasa Inggris dan bisa mengenal Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa Kedua mereka. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Inggris sangat penting dan terlihat dari antusias peserta untuk menguasai bahasa Inggris.Abstract:  In the 2013 curriculum the government abolished the English language originally as a mandatory local charge became mandatory. So that the English language skills of the students should improve to make English something more foreign. The purpose of this devotion is to improve the English language skills of ELEMENTARY and junior high school students. The team used the Total Physical Response theory to add and reinforce students ' vocabulary. In addition, the team also invites native Italian and Australian speakers to give their students a briefing about English language learning as a second language in their country. So that students become close to English and get to know English as their second language. The results of this activity show that English is very important and is visible from participants ' enthusiasm to master the English language

Abstract

This research was aimed to establish, to find out the effectiveness, and to know the teacher’s and student’s responses of Flash Ludo Game as a vocabulary learning media for first grade students of Junior High School. The researcher was applied Research and Development (R&D) design whis is adapted from Sugiyono. It consisted of five phases, they were: data collection and finding potentials and problems, design and development, expert validation and revision, product trial, and final product. The final product of the model consisted of three kinds of flashcards, a set of ludo game, and three kinds of guidebooks. The result of design and development showed that the model was very valid, the average of material and media experts was 92.5%. The product trial was done with 20 seventh grade students as participants. The one-group pre-post test showed that before using the model, the average student’s score was (45.80) and after using the model, it reached (84.05). From the t-test analysis, the researcher found that the sig (2.tailed) value was .000, it showed that the Sig. value (2-tailed) <0.05, in means that was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The result of teacher’s and student’s responses showed that the model was very proper, with the average result was 94%. The vocabulary learning media was effective and improve student’s vocabulary achievement for the first grade students of Junior High School.

Abstract

Skizofrenia merupakan penyakit disabilitas yang berfokus pada keterpecahan informasi pada otak. Perlu adanya treatment yang dilakukan untuk menyembuhkan penderita dari hendaya kognitif yang diderita. Melihat fenomena tersebut, peneliti merancang suatu aplikasi yang bernama Diary Skizofrenia Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Penderita Skizofrenia. Aplikasi tersebut berisi pertanyaan bacaan, melihat video, mendengarkan lagu, melengkapi kalimat rumpang, dan menata bangun ruang. Pengukuran yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan skala ScoRs (Schizophrenia cognitive Rating Scale). Pengujian aplikasi dilakukan menggunakan alpha testing dan beta testing. Alpha testing dilakukan dengan pengujian black box dengan tingkat akurasi pengujian sebesar 76,19 %, sedangkan Beta testing dilakukan dengan pengujian terhadap ahli media dan dokter psikiater dengan hasil presentase masing-masing sebesar 45,45 %. Hasil Penerapan aplikasi yang diterapkan pada penderita Skizofrenia dari Posyanndu Desa Jajar Talun berbanding lurus dengan skala Scors yang diujikan. Abstract Skizophrenia is a disability disease that focuses on the dissage of information on the brain. There needs to be treatment done to cure sufferers of cognitive hendaya suffered. Looking at the phenomenon, researchers designed an app an application called Schizophrenia Diary to Improve the Ability of Schizophrenics. The app contains reading questions, viewing videos, listening to songs, completing sentences, and organizing space builds. Measurement is used using ScoRs (Schizophrenia cognitive Rating Scale). Application testing is done using alpha testing and beta testing. Alpha testing is done with black box testing with a test accuracy rate of 76,19 %, while Beta testing is done by testing media experts and psychiatrists with a percentage result of 45,45 %. The results of the application applied to schizophrenia sufferers from Posyanndu, Jajar Talun Village are directly proportional to the Scors scale tested.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang intertextual analisis hukum internasional buruh migran perempuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan agar terdapat kejelasan penafsiran secara kritis terhadap Undang-undang perlindungan buruh migran . Rumusan masalah yang dikemukakan adalah (1) Bagaimana penafsiran atau interpretasi secara kritis terhadap undang-undang No.6 Tahun 2012 (2) Adakah ditemukan interpretasi terhadap undang-undang yang berkaitan dengan perlindungan terhadap buruh migran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan mengetahui lebih dalam dan bagaimana penerapan undang-undang No.6 tahun 2012 sehingga terdapat kejelasan sikap dan interpretasi terhadap hokum tersebut. Abstract

Love is an important thing in human life. Greek Mythology is well-known for the concept of love about Eros, Philia, and Agape. The authors analyze the love depicted in the short film adaptation of Dewi Lestari’s story Hanya Isyarat.  This film tells about such kind types of Love. Based on the characters of the short film, it is depicted that types of Love. The purpose of this study is to describe the hidden meaning of the contents of the short film Hanya Isyarat by Dewi Lestari.  The method of this study used the descriptive qualitative method. The author conducts in-depth observations to obtain results based on what is depicted in the short film. The data of this research was obtained from the dialogues presented by the characters. By having a depth analysis, the researchers found that there are two types of characters of love, including Philia and Agape because the characters are shown that they have only two kinds of love. All of them are about scarification and adoration without any hope of return.

Abstract

This study, which was conducted by two researchers, had the objective of analyzing the intertextuality of the short story literary works "Only Cue" by Dewi Lestari and "Love" by Guy De Maupassant. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis and literature study. The data in this study were obtained from data relevant to the problem or topic under study by conducting literature studies from several sources, for example research journals with several previous studies. The results of the study show that there are similarities in the themes and messages conveyed by the author, namely about love and sacrifice, although there are differences in the depiction of the characters in the story. The plot of the story also has differences, "Just a hint" uses a progressive plot while "Love" uses a "flashback" plot

Abstract

Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dipicu oleh rendahnya tingkat literasi dan numerasi siswa di tingkat SD. Data hasil rapor pendidikan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak SD yang memiliki hasil rendah dalam aspek literasi dan numerasi. Tujuan penelitian ini mengembangkan game edukasi menggunakan inkuiri terbimbing. Game edukasi dirancang menggunakan inkuiri terbimbing, yang akan membantu guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran yang berfokus pada siswa. Dalam pendekatan ini, siswa mengeksplorasi dan memahami beberapa konsep dan materi dengan bimbingan dari guru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan model R&D menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan game edukasi dinyatakan valid sesuai validasi ahli media, materi, dan pengguna. Berdasarkan uji keefektifan, game edukasi efektif diterapkan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi. Berdasarkan uji kepraktisan, game edukasi memiliki kepraktisan yang sangat baik. Dengan demikian, game edukasi dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa di SD.

Abstract

In this quantitative study, the researchers assessed the impact of the Seesaw application on eleventh-grade students’ speaking proficiency by focusing on explaining natural phenomena. The researchers utilized pre-experimental research, especially one-group pre- and post-test designs. The research data was gathered through validated pre-tests and post-tests. The statistical analysis encompassed paired sample T-tests with SPSS 25. The result revealed that the students' average speaking score increased significantly from 68.40 to 85.20. The sig 2 tailed was less than 0.05. The results offer compelling support for the integration of Seesaw by English educators, highlighting the potential for enhanced learning outcomes and increased student engagement. Future researchers should delve into comparative studies, scrutinizing the Seesaw application against other digital interactive platforms, including Busuu, ELSA, Cake, Beelinguapp, and similar tools.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan salah satu alat komunikasi yang penting bagi manusia, peristiwa tutur dan tindak tutur merupakan bagian dari bahasa. Ketika seseorang berbicara, maka ada lawan bicaranya yang akan merespon ucapannya. Pada penderita down syndrom maka seringkali tindak tutur ucapan terasa sulit diartikan. Karena itu peneliti akan mengobservasi tingkat lokusi, ilokusi dan perlokusi penderita down syndrom yang bersekolah di SLB Tunas Bangsa Kabupaten Blitar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dimana lima penderita down syndrome dipancing dengan beberapa pertanyaan wawancara. Hasil dari tanggapan dianggap sebagai data akan dianalisis sebagai hasil dan pembahasan.Hasil dari observasi dan penelitian yang dilakukan di SLB Tunas Bangsa bahwa 10 dari sample penderita down syndrome yang diteliti mengalami kegagalan penangkapan informasi sebagai mitra tutur terhadap penutur I. Pada kesimpulannya penderita down syndrom tidak memiliki ilokusi dan perlokusi yang baik terhadap mitra tutur. Penderita down syndrom tidak dapat menaggapi rangsangan baik berupa penyataan, pertanyaan maupun kalimat perintah.
