Abstract

The research is quasi experiment that aim to know the influence of using Macromedia Flash on cooperatif learning model type NHT to achievment of students of class X SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. The independent variable are NHT type cooperatif learning model with Macromedia Flash and without Macromedia Flash based in cooperatif learning model, and dependent variable is students’ achievment in chemical bonding main subject of learning. The populasi is whole student of X Grade SMAN 12 Makassar which consists of 8 classes. The sample include two classes such as X2 as an experiment class with 36 students and X3 class as a control class with 36 students The sampling technique is random with assumption that the population is homogeny. Data collection technique is obtained from objective test which consists of 20 items of multiple choice. The data analysis technique used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The hypothesis test using t test shows that tcalculate > ttable = 2,97 > 1,67 on α ═ 0,05. Conclude that using Macromedia Flash on Cooperatif Learning Model Type NHT gives effected positive to toward student’s achievement of class X SMAN 12 Makassar on Chemical Bonding subject matter.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and compare critical thinking skills of students based This research is research and development which aims to arrange and develop student worksheet for Senior High School grade XI based on guided inquiry based on KTSP that can be used as reference or alternative of media for teacher in chemistry instruction in the class and in the laboratory and it also can be used by students as addition of learning source and to know the properness of student worksheet based on guided inquiry. This research subject is students of class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 2 Polewali in the amount of 32 people with details of 6 men and 26 women. The development of this student worksheet refers to developmental model of 4-D by Thiagarajan, et al that included define phase, design phase, and develop phase. Fourth phase is disseminate was not done. This student worksheet has already validated by validator and through limited try out, as well as revised many times by developer so that obtain valid, effective and practical result. This research showed that: (1) average score of students learning achievement is 81 from ideal score 100 with class completeness 81.25% or amount of 26 complete score students; (2) students activities in psychomotor and affective aspect showed positive tendency with each percentage for psychomotor is in high category is in the amount of 81.25% and in very high category is in the amount of 18.75% while for affective aspect has total average values percentage of whole affective scoring indicators is in the amount of 91% which is categorized very high; (3) commonly students gave positive responses toward used student worksheet with percentage that expressed very good, good, less good is in the amount of 37.50%, 59.38%, and 3.12% in a series, as are teachers responses which gave very positive responses totality with percentage 100% expressed very good with amount of teachers gave responses is 3 chemistry teachers.

Abstract

This descriptive research aims to analyze level and cause of student’s misconceptions on reaction rate topic. The subjects in research are 27 students of Grade XI IPA 1 students of SMAN 1 Ma'rang. The instruments are used in this experiment are essay test, observation sheet and semi-guided interviews. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistic method to obtain percentage of the misconception. The results showed that students’ misconception occurs in some of the sub concepts of reaction rate material. Percentages and categories of students’misconceptions on understanding the reaction rate, the factors that affect the rate of reaction , and the reaction order , are respectively 15 % is included in the low category , 18.7 % , including in the low category , and 15 % are included in the low category . Overall average student misconceptions on the material that is the reaction rate of 16.2 %. This shows that the misconception on the material reaction rate is low. The results also show that the misconception is caused by: 1) Students, the student preconceptions wrong, 2) Master, which does not provide an explanation in detail to the concept.

Abstract

The aim of this deskriptif research is to determine how Student’s Creative Thinking Skill by Using Problem Based Learning to Students of Class X3 SMAN 1 Watang Pulu in Material of Oxidation Reduction Reactions. This research is descriptive research that aims to describe the students ability of creative thinking (fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration) in problem based learning, of redoks reaction as main topic. The research subjects are all students of Class X3 SMAN 1 Watang Pulu that consist of 32 students. The data was collected by observation sheet and giving 7 validated items of learning research test. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistic. The result of analysis showed that the average value of creative thinking ability for fluency is 75,05% (good category), flexibility is 73,44% (good category), originality is 72,66% (good category), and elaboration is 75,78% (good category). The average value of four times meeting is 62,79% (good category). The student activity that good category same with the study result. This research showed that student ability of creative thinking in problem based learning on redoks reaction main topic was classified as good category.

Abstract

Classroom action research (PTK) is intended to determine how to implement the step by step of Learning Together through Constructivist approach to improving student learning activities Class X IIS 5 SMA Negeri 1 Malili, Kab. Luwu Timur. Broadly speaking there are four stages in the PTK, namely (1) the action plan, (2) implementation (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This research was conducted as much as two cycles. Data results showed that the learning Leaning Together with the constructivist approach can enhance students' learning activities Class X IIS 5 SMA Negeri 1 Malili, Kab. Luwu Timur which consists of 6 phases: (1) a preliminary phase by providing apersepsi of matter and learning objectives, (2) phase of presentation of the material with a general presentation of the learning material so that begs the question (to observe and ask), (3) the phase of discussion with directing students to find solutions to problems that have been presented on the basis of LKPD and textbooks (reasoning and collecting data), (4) the percentage of the group phase by providing the opportunity for students to present the results of their discussion (communicate), (5) the award phase to give praise and prizes for students and groups are viable and active during discussions and the percentage of the group to improve the students' enthusiasm for learning, and (6) phase concluded by describing the conclusions of the solution to the problem which is the basis of learning activities. The percentage of student activity increased by 28.20%. The average value of student learning outcomes, namely a percentage 85.24 with mastery learning outcomes increased by 59.52%.

Abstract

This pre-experimental research aims to describe the student’s science process skill in guided inquiry learning model in the subject matter of acid and base titration. The research population were all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Pangkajene consist of 4 class were 115 students. The research samples were 29 students of class XI IPA Archimedes SMA Negeri 2 Pangkajene. Science Process Skill data was collected by observation sheet, student worksheet, and lab report was observed during the learning process. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average percentage of science process skills of students with 9 indicators (asking questions was 77,01% classified good category, make hypotheses was 56,89% classified not good category, research plan was 100% classified very good category, using tools and materials was 75,82% classified good category, interpreting was 81,35% classified good category, measuring was 66,39% classified enough good category, calculating was 78,46% classified good category, predicting was 60,34% classified not good category and communicate the results was 88,08% classified very good category). Thises mean that the student’s science process skill of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Pangkajene in guided inquiry learning model of the subject matter acid-base titration was 76,04% good category.

Abstract

The research was a quasi-experimental that aimed to know the effect ofdiscovery learning model toward student’s motivation and achievement of class X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Lau Maros. The independent variable in this experiment was discovery learning model and the dependent variable were student’s motivation and achievement on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution subject matter. The population was class X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Lau Maros consisted of 180 students. Taking technique of sample was simple random sampling. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely class X MIA3 as a experiment class with 30 students and class X MIA2 as a control class with 30 students. The data of the research were gathered by motivation questionnaire and achievement testelectrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution subject matter for post-test which were analyzedby using t-test. Results of inferential statisticalanalysis for learning motivation were tcalculated =2.59>t(0,05;58)=1,67 and achievement were tcalculated =2.43>t(0,05;58)=1,67. Conclude that discovery learning model gives effected toward student’s motivation and achievement of class X MIA SMA Negeri 3Lau Maros on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution subject matter.

Abstract

The research was a quasi-experimental that aimed to know the positive effect of using mind mapping method on learning cycle 5E models towards student achievement at class X Senior High School 1 Kajuara. The population in experiment was class X Senior High School 1 Kajuara Bone Regency are 9 Class with 320 peoples, the sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely class X1 as a experiment class with the number of students was 28 and class X4 as a control class with the number of students 30 peoples. The independent variable in this research was using mind mapping noted technique on learning cycle 5E models and without mind mapping noted technique on learning cycle 5E models, the dependent variable was learning achievement on subject matter Chemical Bond. Data which get form descriptive and inferential analysis. From analysis get the average value of experiment class is 71 with deviation standard is 9.35 while in control class the average is 65.30 with deviation standard is 10.14 and the percentage in class experiment is 57.14% while control class is 30%. The result of hypothesis analysis use t-test got tcalculate = 2.21 and significant level α = 0,05 with dk = 56 got ttable = 1,66. So that, tcalculated > ttable, so H1 accepted and H0 rejected. It means that mind mapping noted technique on learning cycle 5E model has effect toward student achievement class X Senior High School 1 Kajuara Bone Regency in chemical bond matter.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and compare critical thinking skills of students based on gender in class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 1 Maiwa. This comparational descriptive study aims to describe and compare critical thinking skills of students based on gender in class XI MIA of SMA Negeri 1 Maiwa were both classes were taught by using inquiry learning model. The instrument used in this study was observation sheet to measure the process of critical thinking skills and measure the product of critical thinking ability from achievement test. The achievement indicators of critical thinking skills in male and female classes by comparison indicators in giving a simple explanation achieved 41% and 46.3%, building up basic skills achieved 51% and 34.83%, organizing the strategy and tactics is achieved 52% and 25.89%, giving further explanation achieved 44% and 55.3%, and concluding achieved 60% and 58.92%. Achievement test values of critical thinking were analyzed using t-test of both classes where tcalculate < ttable, concluded that there was no difference in critical thinking skills of male and female students in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Maiwa through inquiry learning model in the chemical equilibrium subject.

Abstract

The main objectives to be achieved from this research is to produce books Scientific learning model - Enquiry and supporting devices such as lesson plans, worksheets and valid assessment tools, practical and effective in improving students' scientific thinking skills. Instructional material used as the focus of this research is the solution of electrolyte and non-electrolyte that is presented in class X semester. Activity presents a real problem in the class is the first step of learning, so it is expected that students are able to analyze problems, hypothesize, collect the data and concluded through experimentation. This is not apart of the activities 5 M (Observe, ask, reasoning, Tried and Communicate) which is the scientific thinking activities of students. The development method used is Plomp (1997), which consists of four stages, namely; 1) The initial assessment by observation early in the school curriculum, the students and the state sylaby appropriate learning model; 2) planning draft of the model scientific - inquiry and materials suitable for development, 3) realization & Construction to develop the book model of scientific - inquiry together with learning devices namely lesson plans, worksheets and assessment tools skills of scientific thinking of students, while stage 4) implementation has not been done for I. year study the validity of test results from three experts to book models and devices obtained by each (book model = 3.23; RPP = 3.29; LKS = 3.19 and assessment tools = 3.10) total mean with a 3.20 average coefficient of expert judment index equal to one category is valid. Test the practicality of the model and the Scientific - Inquiry through perception questionnaires gained an average of 89.47% of students (32 students) who respond positively to the application of models and tools, and of the three chemistry teacher at SMAN 1 Bajeng average of 90.05% giving a positive response to the model and the device. Test the effectiveness evident from the test results show class completeness of 81.25% (26 students completed). Feasibility study can be seen from the observation of student activity associated with formulating problems, observe, ask questions, give argimen, formulate hypotheses, collect and data analyze, discuss, cooperation and conclude group average of 75.83%. Based on these two indicators show that the model and the device is effective to improve learning outcomes and scientific thinking skills.
