Abstract

This research aims to analyze Quality of Service (QoS) parameters on cellular networks using four providers by measuring throughput, packet loss, delay and jitter parameters when conducting Video Streaming and Online Games using the Wireshark application. The research method involves direct measurement of QoS parameters in several strategic locations in Punggur Kecil village, data was taken at three different location points with a distance comparison of ±500 meters. From all the recapitulations of QoS parameter measurement results, it can be concluded that the value of each QoS parameter can vary for each package which includes the categories poor, medium, good and very good because the bandwidth received by each provider is different. The cause of high and low values of different QoS parameters, Throughput is caused by the number of packet arrivals measured during the observation process, Packet Loss is caused by the number of queues exceeding capacity, Delay is caused by low Throughput values and the number of packets sent, while the Jitter value is influenced by the Delay value. The results obtained are that the Indosat provider is the recommended provider when carrying out Video Streaming and Online Games, because the Quality of Service value produced is superior to other providers. The average values of the Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay and Jitter parameters at each location for the Indosat provider are respectively 796kbps, 2.63%, 22.6ms and 22.6ms. Provider XL is 708kbps, 1.67%, 12.6ms, and 12.6ms. Provider Telkomsel 667kbps, 0.33%. 55.9ms, and 56ms. As well as the Smartfren provider 50kbps, 0.38%, 102.6ms, and 102.7ms.

Abstract

Trash is a byproduct of human activity that poses serious challenges in its management. Suboptimal handling can lead to trash spread, create uncomfortable environmental conditions, and produce hazardous gases such as methane, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide. To address this, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based trash bin optimization system is needed. This system includes monitoring trash height, gases produced by the trash, and trash weight using sensors installed on the trash bin, such as the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, MQ-4 sensor, MQ-135 sensor, TGS2602 sensor, and load cell sensor. Additionally, the system is equipped with an automatic lid system using the MG995 servo motor and Solenoid Lock Door to lock the trash bin when it is full. Specific limits have been set for each trash parameter, and if they exceed these limits, the automatic system will lock the trash bin and send notifications through the Blynk application on a smartphone. Component testing in this research has shown satisfactory results, with high levels of accuracy. Overall, the designed system successfully optimizes the use of trash bins by providing immediate notifications to sanitation workers when the trash bin is full, preventing scattered trash piles, and maintaining the safety and comfort of the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Water quality is an important factor in supporting the life of living creatures, one of which is fish. Failure to maintain water quality can result in slower fish growth and can cause mass death. In the process of monitoring water quality, several environmental value are detected, namely water pH, water turbidity and water temperature. With the Internet of Things (IoT), monitoring water quality can be done using the Arduino Cloud application via a smartphone or computer anywhere in real time. These two parameters are given thresholds, the environmental water temperature threshold is between 28 - 30 °C and the water turbidity threshold is between 5 - 50 NTU. If one of the values exceeds the threshold, where the water temperature is higher than 30 °C or below 28 °C, the water turbidity is higher than 50 NTU or below 5 NTU, then a water change will occur as water quality control which starts with draining the water using a solenoid valve, then filling the water using a water pump. The measurement results showed that fish growth for 2 weeks was 17% with maintained water quality and the average percentage of error obtained in water temperature measurements was 0.314% and water turbidity was 2.769%.

Abstract

The implementation of 5G cellular technology in Indonesia needs to be studied in several aspects. So that several cellular operators in Indonesia have experienced difficulties in implementing 5G cellular technology in Indonesia, especially in Pontianak City. Therefore, the analysis of pathloss values in cellular systems is an approach to large-scale fading aspects to calculate service coverage. This research calculates the pathloss value with a case study in Pontianak City with micro urban cell characteristics. In this research, ABG (Alpha-Beta-Gamma) prediction model is used with working frequency of 3.5 GHz and 28 GHz with bandwidth of 100 MHz. The calculation results of the ABG prediction model at a frequency of 3.5 GHz has a value of 91.78 dB for LOS conditions and in NLOS conditions has a value of 123.26 dB. While at a frequency of 28 GHz the pathloss value generated is 110.71 dB in LOS conditions, while in NLOS conditions the value is 140.42 dB. The 28 GHz working frequency has a slightly higher pathloss value than the 3.5 GHz frequency and has a difference in value of 18.99 dB for LOS conditions while in NLOS conditions it has a difference in value of 17.16 dB.

Abstract

One of the problems found in the power system is the change or decrease in voltage caused by the power plant center being far from the load center. This study aims to determine the condition of the voltage drop on the Husein Hamzah Feeder and how the use of tap transformers to reduce the voltage drop. The calculation process is simulated using ETAP 19.0.1 software. Based on the simulation results, in the existing condition, the percentage of voltage at the medium voltage bus still meets PLN standards, while at the low voltage bus there are still buses below the standard with a percentage of voltage drop of 3.48%. After making improvements by increasing the transformer tap, the voltage drop value on the bus has decreased to 3.42%. It can be concluded that after making improvements by increasing the transformer tap, the voltage percentage on the rectifier has met SPLN No.72 of 1987 where the percentage of voltage drop does not exceed 5% of the working voltage.

Abstract

Digital television is a device used to capture digital TV broadcasts, this type of television uses digital modulation and compression systems to broadcast image, sound, and data signals to television sets. The need for this technology requires a device that can work to carry out the digital TV communication function. One very important communication device is the antenna. B iquad antenna is a loop antenna with a rectangular contour and is paralleled to get a smaller impedance. Wireless communication is inseparable from the existence of antenna devices. This research only focuses on analyzing signal reception on digital TV frequencies 478-694 MHz and on antenna design. This research discusses the design of a digital TV antenna with an RF amplifier and analyzes the parameters of the antenna design results and optimizes the antenna design to fit specifications. Simulation results on CST studio show that the biquad antenna has a VSWR value of 1.64, return loss of -12.26 dB, bandwidth of 114.44 MHz, gain of 9.080 dBi, and directivity of 9.253 dBi. These parameter values are obtained after performing an optimization process from previous simulations that still do not meet specifications. In the correlation of digital TV, antennas with RF amplifiers are able to capture very good signal strength and quality on each channel on the digital TV screen so that good image quality is obtained.

Abstract

The degradation of electrical power quality due to high water content in transformer oil is a critical issue because water in transformer oil can cause insulation degradation, increase electrical conductivity, and accelerate the corrosion process of internal components. This results in a decrease in transformer performance and reliability, and increases the risk of electrical faults or failures that can have far-reaching impacts on the power distribution network. Water damage can also shorten the operational life of the transformer and increase maintenance and component replacement costs. Therefore, testing the breakdown voltage, moisture content, and flash point of distribution transformer oil is very important to determine the feasibility of transformer oil. This study aims to determine the effect of moisture content on breakdown voltage and flash point, as well as the effect of breakdown voltage on flash point. By using the test method of breakdown voltage, moisture content, and flash point is expected to determine the feasibility of transformer oil. The results obtained from the old transforamtor oil (14 years) have a breakdown voltage of 1.3 kV, the transformer oil has been used (2 years) of 24.25 kV, and for the new transformer oil of 34.4 kV. For old transformer oil moisture content of 140.19 ppm, used transformer oil moisture content of 34.03 ppm, new transformer oil moisture content of 26.04 ppm, old transformer oil flash point measurement results of 148 ° C, used transformer oil samples of 150 ° C, and new transformer oil samples of 160.5 ° C. In conclusion, the old and new transformer oil is still suitable for use.
