Abstract

The Jorong Padang Bintungan youth has always been known as a creative, cooperative, unified and energetic youth. Until now, there are still many activities that are carried out together to achieve the goals that have been mutually agreed upon. In order to continue to transmit this spirit to the next generation, a thought is needed to be able to document heroic stories or complete stories about characters, places, and events so that they can be told later by their children and grandchildren. This research was developed using mobile programming to be running on Android and iOS devices. From this study, it was found that there was an increase in the interest of young people to know the history around Jorong Padang Bintungan.

Abstract

School libraries in Indonesia, which do not meet minimum national standards in terms of area and division of space, have caused schools need to rearrange their library rooms to make them comfortable for users. One example is in the SMP Negeri 28 Padang library. The purpose of this study is to make a layout design for the library of SMP Negeri 28 Padang by using SketchUp Make, so that it can fulfill Indonesian national standards in terms of dividing the library areas/rooms and make the rooms comfortable for users and librarians. This research is development research, located in SMP Negeri 28 Padang. Primary data sources are observations and interviews, while secondary ones are journal articles, websites, books, and other supporting documents. Data analysis and processing techniques used qualitative and quantitative. The research product was a layout design for library of the SMP Negeri 28 Padang, and already applied there. Then a field survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to librarians and users to test the feasibility of the design results. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be concluded that the design is very adequate and feasible to be applied.

Abstract

Culture is essential for an organization, because it will always relate to the life that exists in the organization. Organizational culture is a philosophy, ideology, values, assumptions, beliefs, expectations, attitudes and norms that are shared and binding in a particular community. Specifically, the culture in the organization will be determined by the working conditions of the team, leadership and organizational characteristics as well as the prevailing administrative processes (Koesmono, 2005). Organizational culture is important, because it is the habits that occur in the organizational hierarchy that represent the behavioral norms followed by members of the organization. A productive culture is a culture that can make the organization strong and the goals of the organization can be accommodated. In the organization, of course, many factors influence a person to achieve the goals that have been set, while the course of the organization is certainly colored by the behavior of individuals who feel interested in their respective groups. The behavior of individuals who are in the organization certainly greatly affects the organization both directly and indirectly, this is due to the different abilities of individuals in dealing with their tasks or activities. Every human being or a person always considers his behavior towards everything that is desired so that it can be achieved without causing conflict, both individually and in groups, so that performance can be achieved as desired. This can be used as an indication that the library is an organization so organizational theories can be applied in the library. The library as part of the parent institution, develops in line with the development of the library, which will appear in the components of collections, services, buildings/spaces and equipment and personnel. The purpose of the library can be achieved through good management and is an interaction between individuals who are in it.

Abstract

Organizational culture is important for studying information systems (Leidner and Kayworth, 2006). Meanwhile, according to Robbins and Judge (2007:256) organizational culture is a system of shared meaning held by its members that distinguishes an organization from other organizations. Organizational culture can also be defined as a pattern of basic assumptions discovered or developed by a particular group while learning to cope with problems of external adaptation and external integration, which have worked well enough to be considered valid and, therefore, are taught to their members as an appropriate way of learning. correct to perceive, think and feel in relation to problems that are currently or have been faced. Keywords: Culture, Oraganizational Culture, Perspective Management, and Library ABSTRAK Budaya organisasi merupakan hal penting guna untuk mengkaji sistem informasi (Leidner dan Kayworth, 2006). Sedangkan menurut Robbins dan Judge (2007:256) budaya organisasi adalah sebuah sistem makna bersama yang dianut para anggotanya yang membedakan suatu organisasi dengan organisasi lainnya. Budaya organisasi juga dapat didefinisikan sebagai suatu pola asumsi dasar yang ditemukan atau dikembangkan oleh suatu kelompok tertentu saat belajar untuk mengatasi masalah yang adaotasi eksternal dan integrasi eksternal, yang telah berjalan cukup baik untuk dapat dianggap valid dan oleh karena itu, diajarkan kepada anggotanya sebagai cara yang benar untuk berpersepsi, berpikir dan berperasaan sehubungan dengan masalah yang sedang ataupun telah dihadapi.

Abstract

Knowledge management (KM) is an important issue in creating innovation and improving the performance of an organization. The emergence of KM brings new challenges and problems for librarians in defining information and knowledge management as the object they manage. This paper seeks to explore various ways for libraries to act as organizational learning tools while at the same time identifying ways to apply the concept of KM in library management as an organization. Literature study approach and bibliometrics are used in this study based on literature sources related to the implementation of KM in the libraries. This study found that MI is part of the KM concept that focuses on managing explicit knowledge, while overall KM manages tacit and explicit knowledge assets. In supporting the effective management of organizational knowledge assets, libraries need to expand the management role of the two forms of knowledge, so that the library can become a center for KM as well as organizational learning. Furthermore, the library as an organization can adopt the concept of KM in creating innovation and improving service quality. Digital libraries encourage KM in the management of organizational knowledge assets. The implementation of KM in the library can be applied to routine activities such as administration, strategic planning, reference services, and the use of knowledge management systems (KMS) to support collaboration in completing a particular project in libraries.

Abstract

Awareness of the importance of information and knowledge is felt by individuals because of the need that is always driven by information. Knowledge is an important asset to improve abilities and survival skills in dynamic activities. The emergence of various communities or movements such as literacy activists in the library aims as an effort to become a learning community in utilizing information into useful knowledge for people's lives. This article discusses the implementation of "knowledge sharing" in the "Overnight Stay at Library" activity with literacy activists in West Sumatra. This type of research is qualitative using case study method. The case study method is used to see how the implementation of “knowledge sharing” of literacy activists and the role of the Department of Archives and Libraries of West Sumatra Province in supporting and facilitating the community of literacy activists in increasing the literacy index in West Sumatra. The result of this research is that the information transfer process is dominated by activities in the socialization process. This can be seen in the "knowledge sharing" carried out by the Head of the Department, librarians, and participants in the "Overnight Stay at Library" event during the two days and one night event at the Archives and Library Office of West Sumatra Province. With the "knowledge sharing" process, the knowledge that comes from the tacit knowledge of each participant turns out to be widely revealed and conveyed. The role of the library is very influential on the growth of information and knowledge of the people of West Sumatra.

Abstract

KapanLagi Youniverse is an information agency as well as an online media company that has 10 different types of online media with varying segments from one another. Being an information institution, KLY must be able to manage data and information for millions of its users every day. One of the obtainable data from KLY is pageviews, which comes from Google Analytics for websites that are on KLY. Pageviews data for KLY reaches trillions of requests/users and must be managed or disseminated for stakeholders. This can help KLY data team and managers to provide decisions and related insights from existing data. n order to make managing and pageviews data more attainable, Tableau Server is used. Tableau will help visualize the widely used business intelligence data on KapanLagi Youniverse.

Abstract

Technological developments that occur at this time have an influence on changes in services to libraries. The current audio-visual services are served on CD or DVD. So it is necessary to innovate in services in the form of digital services. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of Microsoft Stream as an audio-visual service at ISI Padang Panjang. The method used is qualitative with descriptive using observation, interview and literature techniques. The results of the study show that the use of Microsoft Stream is very useful, very easy, and has a good design so that users are very enthusiastic about using it.

Abstract

This study looks at the issue of e-inclusion in the field of school education. It aims to explain the potential that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) offers to avoid any form of discrimination among students. The basic idea underlying this paper is that the process of school inclusion can be fostered through new technological tools only if, in parallel, educational approaches, methods and strategies are easily revised and improved. Taking the point of view of both educational tools and methods, this paper discusses the key issues of the “accessibility” of educational tools and the “new competencies” required by teachers. To build truly inclusive classrooms on the one hand, key educational tools (including ICT-based ones) need to be barrier-free and fully accessible to all students, and, on the other hand, for teachers to have them. competence to carefully select e-tools and plan/utilize them properly.

Abstract

Leadership is an important component of library management. This study aims to collect and systematically analyze literature on library leadership, so that libraries as information center can provide the best services to users. The research method is a systematic literature review (SLR), collected literature using Publish or Perish (PoP), then extracted using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Analyses 2020 (PRISMA2020), then analyzed using VOSviewer. The results is the literature on library leadership was divided into 12 clusters with 244 keywords. The dominating keywords are style, diversity, assessment, staff, and framework. The conclusion of this systematic literature review research on leadership in library management states that the theme of library leadership is very interesting for researchers because library leadership does not have to follow the right leadership theory, every library leader has a unique way and has its own characteristics ranging from leadership style, assessment, diversity, and their own framework in approaching staff to achieve excellent service for users.
