Abstract

This research investigates the success of the "K-POP Dance Cover Showcase & Charity Event (SxS Ngabuburit Vol. 2)" as a case study within event tourism, focusing on its utilization of Ramadan as a catalyst for charitable giving. Grounded in a participatory approach, the researcher, actively involved in event planning and execution, augmented findings with interviews of the organizing leader. The event, held within a local community, attracted 20 dance groups and 300 spectators, raising Rp. 2.6 million for charity, solely from local participants. K-Pop's global influence transcends entertainment, extending to philanthropic endeavors. The integration of K-Pop with charitable initiatives, especially within a local context, remains underexplored. A participatory approach intertwined with semi-structured interviews was adopted. The researcher's involvement from planning to execution provided first-hand insights, while interviews with the organizing leader unveiled motivations and operational intricacies. Ramadan served as a pivotal driver, harnessing spiritual values to mobilize youth towards charitable acts. The event exemplified communal solidarity and social consciousness, transcending cultural boundaries. Operational insights highlighted strategic alignment with Ramadan's temporal significance, guiding decision-making processes. This study elucidates the success of the "SxS Ngabuburit Vol. 2" event, showcasing how the integration of K-Pop with Ramadan charity initiatives fosters community engagement and philanthropy. Recommendations include leveraging cultural and temporal contexts to maximize impact in future event planning.

Abstract

Equality of opportunity in all aspects for persons with disabilities is a fundamental right enshrined in Indonesian legislation and international treaties, namely the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). One such aspect is participating in arts and cultural activities such as music festivals. Therefore, this research aims to identify the provision of access for persons with disabilities in organizing Tau-Tau Fest, a music festival in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques in interviews and observation. The results show that although some facilities and services already exist, some aspects require adjustments to meet the needs of people with disabilities, such as viewing areas, queue lines, accessible signage, and staff training on disability awareness. Therefore, recommendations in the form of accessibility plans are given to event organizers and similar music festivals.

Abstract

In contemporary society, the imperative to reduce carbon footprints and mitigate other environmental impacts has become increasingly paramount. Businesses and industries are under mounting pressure to innovate and incorporate environmentally friendly practices across all sectors, including those historically perceived as less eco-friendly, such as exhibition stands. This research examines the perspective of PT City Neonindo Indah Murni, a leading exhibition stand contractor, regarding environmentally conscious exhibition stand design. The primary focus of this study is to investigate the utilization of environmentally friendly materials in exhibition stand construction. It is anticipated that the research findings will make a significant contribution to the general development of environmentally sustainable exhibition stands, which can be widely applied in exhibitions and by other stand contractors. The research methodology employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection processes involve interviews, observations, documentation studies, and literature reviews. As a final step, the data analysis process will utilize an interactive model approach, subsequently validated through source triangulation to verify the validity of the research conclusions. Based on the data collection steps undertaken, it can be posited that PT City Neonindo Indah Murni, as one of Indonesia's preeminent stand contractors, has demonstrated efforts to utilize more environmentally friendly materials and implement reuse concepts for certain components. However, there remains scope for improvement through further research into the exploration of alternative materials such as bamboo, recycled fiberboard, or other eco-friendly composite materials, as well as the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly modular construction methods.

This sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The data analysis method used is simple linear regression which includes validity test, reliability test, normality test, T test and coefficient of determination test ¬(R2). The author uses quantitative descriptive methods with data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The research results show that accessibility influences the decision to visit with the results being 72.9% influenced by this variable and the remainder influenced by other variables not examined in this research. The conclusion is that accessibility has a significant influence on the decision to visit through the ease of access provided by the Chevilly Resort and Camp to meet visitors' travel needs.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of promotion and service quality on purchase decisions for tourism products at Wuki Travel Jogja. Using a quantitative approach, a survey was conducted with 100 respondents who had previously used Wuki Travel Jogja's services. The study employed various analytical techniques, including validity and reliability testing, as well as multiple regression analysis to examine the impact of the independent variables (promotion and service quality) on the dependent variable (purchase decision). The results indicate that both promotion and service quality have a significant and positive influence on purchase decisions when analyzed simultaneously. However, when analyzed separately, promotion was found to have a more dominant effect, with a coefficient value of 0.897, compared to service quality, which showed no significant impact. The study concludes that improving promotional strategies may have the most substantial effect on influencing customer purchase decisions, while service quality, though important, may not play as significant a role in isolation
