Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the conceptual understanding of high school students in two schools, namely SMA Negeri 11 Medan and SMA Swasta Imelda Medan on static fluid material. The method used is descriptive analysis. Data was taken from each school as many as 10 students in class XI. The instrument consists of 10 test questions in the form of multiple choices. The results of the analysis show that students' conceptual understanding of static fluid material at SMA Negeri 11 Medan is classified as sufficient with an average score of 47, while at SMA Private Imelda Medan is classified as sufficient with an average score of 52. At SMA Negeri 11 Medan students have difficulties in discussion of the definition of static fluid and discussion of buoyant force in Archimedes' law and at Imelda Medan Private High School students have difficulty discussing buoyant force in the context of static fluid.

Abstract

Green chemistry principles have an important role in reducing Styrofoam waste. Styrofoam waste is generated everywhere, especially in school environments. styrofoam is packaging that is effective and practical to use, however, there are dangerous contents that can cause serious illnesses from styrofoam. There is a need to replace styrofoam with environmentally friendly containers such as food containers that can be used repeatedly. The purpose of this research is to measure the level of students' understanding and application of green chemistry principles in the SMAN Jatinunggal school environment. The research method used in this research is a questionnaire-based quantitative descriptive approach distributed online to students at SMAN Jatinunggal. The number of respondents was 17 grade 12 students at SMAN Jatinunggal. From the research results, it can be concluded that the level of understanding of grade 12 students at SMAN Jatinunggal regarding the meaning and understanding of the principles of green chemistry is quite adequate. However, in its application the application of green chemistry principles at SMAN Jatinunggal school has not been optimal. This is caused by a lack of advice from the school so that many traders still use styrofoam which is a factor in the accumulation of styrofoam waste in the school environment

Abstract

Education is a process of forming students' personalities which is based on the values of educators who are believed to be true. The process of education at school running well certainly requires qualified, disciplined teaching staff who have good personalities to be imitated by students. And teaching staff need guidance from a leader or principal in the school. This research aims to find out the role of the principal's leadership in improving teacher discipline at SDN 2020221 Silnadit school. This research was also carried out by conducting direct research in the field by meeting the school principal and his staff. Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the main competencies that must be possessed by students in facing the challenges of an increasingly complex and dynamic world of work. One method that can be used to measure and improve students' critical thinking skills is by using HOTS questions. The use of Google Forms as a medium for HOTS quizzes provides various advantages. The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the level of critical thinking skills of Gen Z students in the Hydraulics course, and 2) To determine the effectiveness of using HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) quiz based on Google Forms in measuring and improving students' critical thinking skills in Hydraulics course. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The number of samples was 54 students. The research instrument was in the form of HOTS questions. The average score for each quiz is as follows: Quiz 1 has an average of about 70.3, Quiz 2 with an average of about 64.8, Quiz 3 shows an average of about 65.7, and Quiz 4 has an average of about 84.5. The level of critical thinking skills of Gen Z students in the course varied, with some students showing high skills from the start, while others needed time to adapt. The use of Google Forms-based HOTS quizzes was effective in measuring and improving students' critical thinking skills. The variation in scores on each quiz reflects the different critical thinking skills among students. The increase in scores from Quiz 1 to Quiz 4 shows that students were able to adapt to this evaluation method and improve their critical thinking skills. Google Forms also provides consistent grading and quick feedback, which helps in the learning process.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) character on physics learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam. This research used quantitative methods with a questionnaire design and data involving 62 class XI students who were divided into control and experimental groups. Data was collected via questionnaire and analyzed using statistical tests. The research results showed that the average character score of students in the experimental class was 74.48, while in the control class it was 72.19, but this difference was not statistically significant (2-tailed Sig of 0.182 > 0.05). There was no significant difference in physics learning outcomes between the two groups. In conclusion, the learning model in the experimental class does not provide better results than conventional learning. It is recommended to use interactive learning media and consider student character in dividing study groups

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using chatbots as AI learning assistants on student learning motivation. Chatbots are increasingly recognized as a potential tool in education to increase student motivation and engagement. This study uses an experimental design using the T test as a data analysis method. The sample consisted of two groups, one group that used chatbots in their learning and a control group that did not use chatbots. The T test results showed that the group that used the chatbot experienced a significant increase in learning motivation compared to the control group. This research shows that chatbots can be effective as a motivational tool in educational contexts, with potential implications for application in the development of more student-oriented learning strategies in the future

Abstract

This research aims to explain the benefits of two-dimensional learning media in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes in physics. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The data collection technique was carried out by means of triangulation (combination) in the form of a literature review by collecting data, especially verbal data through books, articles, notes and various other scientific literature. The research population was all students of the Padangsidimpuan Campus Private High School. The research sample was class X students at the Padangsidimpuan Campus Private High School. The instruments used to determine the benefits of two-dimensional learning media in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes in physics are questionnaires and multiple choice tests. The research results showed that there was an increase in students' interest and learning outcomes in physics after using two-dimensional learning media
