Abstract

This research motivated by the phenomenon of men using cosmetic products. Therefore, this research aimed to determine the representation of metrosexual men in the Barenbliss Bloom My Way with Gabriel Prince advertisement. Metrosexual men are men who prioritize physical appearance by wearing cosmetic products and fashionable clothing. Metrosexual men have bright and clean faces. Currently, metrosexual men like to take care of their body parts, especially their faces, to make them look more attractive. Roland Barthes' semiotic theory used to understand the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth. This research uses a semiotic approach with descriptive qualitative methods. The data in this research is supported by documentation in the form of still images related to metrosexual men in the Barenbliss Bloom My Way with Gabriel Prince advertisement. The analysis results carried out, the narrative of events and scenes clearly shows the elements of the representation of metrosexual men which can be seen from the make-up, gestures, characters, settings and costumes in the advertisement.

Abstract

This analysis delves into Surah Al-Imran:104 from the Quran, exploring its relevance to contemporary social leadership. The verse emphasizes the importance of promoting goodness while discouraging evil, offering valuable insights for modern leadership paradigms. Through a comprehensive examination of the verse within its Quranic context and classical Islamic exegesis, this research highlights the significance of leaders who uphold moral values and virtuous behavior within their communities. By elucidating the implications of the verse for leadership and exploring its contemporary relevance, the study aims to contribute to understanding Islamic leadership principles and their application to societal challenges. The results reveal the guidance provided by Surah Al-Imran:104 in shaping leaders committed to the betterment of society, leading to success and prosperity. In conclusion, the article underscores the unique perspective offered by this Quranic verse, enriching modern leadership theories with ethical dimensions. This study offers a fresh approach to social leadership by drawing upon Quranic wisdom, providing insights into ethical practices that can benefit society as a whole.

Abstract

Indonesia with a large Muslim population is a potential market for the Umrah travel business. Hajar Aswad Mubaroq is one of the companies that strives for the desires of the Muslim community in Solo Raya for the Umrah pilgrimage. Consumer satisfaction is an absolute that can be achieved by providing good service quality. That way, the company can excel and become a trusted partner in organizing Umrah. This study aims to see how service quality affects pilgrim satisfaction. This study was conducted using a survey and analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The participating samples were 80 respondents, who were Hajar Aswad Umrah pilgrims from March to August 2023. The results showed that service quality influence on pilgrim satisfaction. Value of tstatistics was greater than ttable with the value of the relationship between service quality and satisfaction proven significant. In addition, it was found that 17.4% of pilgrim satisfaction was influenced by service quality. Based on these results, the author suggests that it is important to make pilgrims satisfied by providing quality services. There are many antecedent factors that will benefit the company through satisfaction, so more efforts are needed in providing quality service to Umrah pilgrims.

Abstract

The commercialization of religious values in advertising reflects the transformation of spiritual values into trading objects. To attract consumers, companies often use religious symbols to increase the appeal of their products. However, this raises controversy about the exploitation of religious values. This phenomenon creates tension between commercial purposes and the integrity of religious values. Research on the commodification of religious values in advertising is essential to understand market dynamics as well as the impact on the public's view of the religious value used for advertising. This research uses critical content analysis methods with observation collection and documentation techniques. To facilitate the research, the researchers also used the data analysis done with the semiotic analysis model of Charles Sanders Pierce. This method was chosen because it could help researchers to explore the meaning contained in the visual and symbolic elements of advertising, enriching an understanding of how messages are delivered and received by the audience. Analysis of Vaseline Hijab Bright's advertising revealed signs of practical commodification of religious values. There seems to be a transformation of the meaning of religious values into commercial exchange values, in which the concept of body serum that is considered safe from a religious point of view is combined with convenience from a commercial perspective. This process is reflected in advertising, where Vaseline modifies all Islamic values and shifts from functional values to exchange values in the context of its product.

Abstract

This research tells about several factors that influence the younger generation's interest in implementing sustainable beauty, namely choosing skincare that is safe for living creatures and environmentally friendly. Sustainable Beauty will consider the ingredients contained in skincare to keep it safe for the environment, as well as the packaging of the skincare. The factors in question are persuasive communication and skincare consumption patterns among students in Gorontalo City. The student population in Gorontalo City was chosen because skincare has become essential for them and part of their lifestyle. The number of samples taken reached 97 people, with the criteria being students in Gorontalo City and using skincare in the last month. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique uses multiple regrets. The results show that H1 and H2 are accepted; a relationship exists between persuasive communication and skincare consumption patterns on implementing sustainable beauty. Partially, the relationship between the two is 24.144%. Influential contributions were dominated by the persuasive communication variant, 12.4%, while the skincare consumption pattern variable was 11.744%. Meanwhile, 75.856% of the implementation of sustainable beauty is influenced by other factors. The suggestion from this research is that the community's knowledge, attitudes and behaviour need to be developed to implement sustainable beauty in Gorontalo City. Apart from that, the role of the government in creating and implementing waste policy is also vital. Even in managing the environment, public awareness still needs to improve, so this is the job of every stakeholder in society.

Abstract

Human resources greatly determine the process of successful performance of an organization. Human resource development aims to make it easier to realize organizational goals because quality human resources are capable of carrying out their duties and functions as employees. The importance of human resource training and development within an institution or company is that it is hoped that the employees involved will be able to do their work or have the capability according to competency requirements. So it is necessary to know how human resource training is provided, its performance results, and how strong the influence is on Dompet Sejuta Harapan (DSH) Institute employees. determine the level of human resource training provided, performance results, and how strong the influence is on employees of DSH institutions using quantitative research methods based on concrete data measured using statistics as a calculation test tool. The results of providing training are in the Good category, the Means value is 23.375 in the interval 24-27. The performance results are in the Good category, it is known that the value of 0.621 is between 0.61-0.80, and it is concluded that it has a strong correlation. From the calculation of the r xy correlation, r is 0.870. r table 0.349. Then we get r results from r tables, meaning the hypothesis set can be accepted as true. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the hypothesis that "There is/is a positive influence between human resource training and the performance results of DSH employees" can be accepted as true

Abstract

This research aims to produce a mapping of the ideological strength of Muhammadiyah in terms of its perspectives and aspirations within the former Surakarta residency area. The study employs a quantitative approach, focusing on respondents' perceptions regarding Muhammadiyah's views and life aspirations. A total of 208 respondents participated in the study, and data collection utilized a measurement tool for Muhammadiyah's ideological strength developed by Subando, Samsuri, and Muslimin. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The research findings indicate that the Muhammadiyah Regional Leaders (Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah, PDM) of Klaten achieved the highest score (4.77), indicating the most favorable assessments of Muhammadiyah's perspectives and aspirations. They were followed by PDM Sukoharjo (4.26), PDM Boyolali (4.25), PDM Surakarta (4.19), and PDM Karanganyar with the lowest score (3.99). Based on these findings, PDM Karanganyar could benchmark against other PDMs and adopt the internalization pattern of strengthening Muhammadiyah's ideology in the Klaten region as a model.

Abstract

To achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter, da'wah is an obligation for every Muslim. Islam provides da'wah activists with various methods that they can use according to the circumstances they face during da'wah to realize da'wah work. Da'wah bi al-bahasa is the most important and most effective da'wah method. effective. Descriptive qualitative methods and phenomenological-naturalistic approaches were used in this study. Data collection was done through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used data preparation, verification, and reduction. The results of the study explain that the An-Nur Mosque in Bakalan Hamlet, Harjosari Village, holds Dakwah Bil Lisan activities led by a Ustad every Friday night after the Maghrib prayer , starting with the reading of the Yasin Letter of the Qur'an, then continuing with the reading of Tahlil, namely the reading of Tasbih, Tahmid, Takbir, Istighfar, and finally prayer. Continued until Isha time filled with lectures with religious strengthening material, the Taklimul Muta'alim Book and also the Aqidatul awam book. Second , this activity is carried out using the Mauidzah Khasanah Method with the help of Qaulan Ma'rufa (kind words), Qaulan Layyina (gentle words), and Qaulan Baligha (words that leave an impression on the heart or soul).

Abstract

Philanthropy management and social assistance programs play essential roles in improving community welfare. In this context, this article examines the roles of leadership and communication in implementing social assistance programs. Through a review of relevant literature and related research, it is found that effective leadership and transparent communication are crucial for the success of social assistance programs. The study also identifies several key factors, including communication effectiveness, community participation, and beneficiary satisfaction, as essential to achieving program goals and generating significant social impact. Additionally, the discussion encompasses aspects such as program implementation efficiency, diversification of the program, and geographical considerations. By applying results from relevant literature, philanthropic organizations can enhance their strategies and practices in designing and implementing more effective and impactful social assistance programs.

Abstract

Tujuan syariat Islam (maqashid) bermuara pada kemaslahatan, kasih sayang dan perdamaian dengan visi rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Konsep ini merupakan sebuah kerangka beragama yang memberikan petunjuk dalam bersikap dan berperilaku, yang di dalamnya mengandung nilai-nilai universal seperti kasih sayang, kedamaian, keadilan, dan toleransi. Sehingga, memahami dan mengaplikasikan visi tersebut sama artinya mewujudkan perdamaian, keadilan, kemakmuran, serta akan menyelamatkan manusia apabila mereka mematuhinya. Namun, perbedaan interpretasi menjadi masalah utama yang perlu diluruskan dan perlu diberikan ruang untuk memperdalam makna dan memperluas rahmat dalam rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Penelitian ini mencoba memberikan pemahaman tentang makna Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin dan mengidentifikasi implementasi konsep tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik dalam konteks individu, sosial, maupun lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, yaitu dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai sumber literatur seperti buku-buku, artikel ilmiah, dan karya tulis lainnya yang relevan dengan tema penelitian. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini berbentuk studi deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggali informasi tentang topik rahmatan lil ‘alamin tanpa menghilangkan substansinya.Hasilnya, Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin merupakan landasan penting dalam memahami peran Islam sebagai agama yang membawa kedamaian dan kesejahteraan bagi seluruh alam semesta. Prinsip-prinsip kasih sayang, toleransi, komprehensif, kemudahan, hingga aturan yang praktis dalam beragama sesuai dengan fitrah manusia, membawa kebaikan untuk semesta, dan membangun kehidupan harmonis. Nilai-nilai dasarnya seperti kasih sayang, toleransi, dan kemudahan adalah ciri khasnya, sesuai fitrah manusia dan membawa kebaikan. Sehingga, menerapkan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan adalah wujud nyata Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin, Islam sebagai agama rahmat.Rahmatan lil ‘alamin, Islam, damai, kehidupan harmoni
