Abstract

This study aims to formulate a strategy to improve the quality of Indonesian Air Force Military Police investigators in facing the challenges of crime in the Society 5.0 era. The Society 5.0 era is marked by rapid technological advances, especially in cyber and information technology fields, which have given birth to various new and increasingly sophisticated crime modes. Indonesian Air Force Military Police investigators must have adaptive and innovative competencies in dealing with the threat of crime in this era. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis of secondary data from related literature and in-depth interviews with informants. The study results indicate that improving the quality of investigators through education and training programs that focus on cyber law, information technology, and digital investigation techniques is the primary strategy that needs to be implemented. In addition, adequate budget allocation and curriculum development are needed to respond to the development of crime in the Society 5.0 era. Cooperation with various parties is also essential to increase the exchange of information and the capacity of investigators. By implementing the right strategy, Indonesian Air Force Military Police investigators are expected to be able to face the challenges of crime in the Society 5.0 era professionally and with integrity.

Abstract

Despite having a relatively high economic growth rate, West Java Province still faces severe challenges in labor absorption, as reflected by the high Open Unemployment Rate (OUR). This study aims to analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), investment, and minimum wages on OUR in West Java Province during 2018-2022. This study uses a panel data approach by combining time series and cross-sectional data from several districts/cities in West Java. The data were analyzed using the panel data regression method with a fixed effect model (FEM) selected based on the results of the Hausman test. The results showed that GRDP had a negative and significant effect on OUR, indicating that economic growth was correlated with a decrease in the unemployment rate. On the other hand, investment did not significantly affect OUR in West Java during the study period. Meanwhile, the minimum wage also did not significantly affect. This study recommends encouraging inclusive economic growth, especially in labor-intensive sectors, and directing investment policies to create quality jobs. Training programs and workforce skills must also be improved to suit industry needs.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing economies of scale in Indonesian micro and small industries (MSIs), focusing on labor, capital, and technology. Recognizing the critical role of MSIs as the backbone of the Indonesian economy, this research examines how these key production factors impact MSI income, ultimately reflecting their economic scale. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (CSA) and scientific journals. The sample comprised micro and small industries across all 34 Indonesian provinces, categorized by employee count. Data analysis involved classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing to evaluate the relationship between variables and their influence on MSI income. The findings reveal that the number of workers or labor, capital, and technology positively and significantly affect MSI income partially and simultaneously. An increase in workers directly impacts income due to enhanced productivity. This study recommends improving workforce quality through training, facilitating capital access via innovative financing schemes, and encouraging technology adoption through targeted programs. Future research should explore additional factors influencing the MSI economic scale to inform comprehensive policy development.

Abstract

This research and development are based on the need for teaching materials that are in accordance with the current situation and conditions in the digital era. The purpose of this research is to Develop Computational Thinking-Based Calculus E-Module to Improve Students' Mathematical Literacy Skills that are valid and practical. This type of research is research and development (R&D) through the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation stages or also known as the ADDIE model. The research instruments are in the form of e-module validation questionnaires, lecturer and student response questionnaires and student mathematical literacy skills tests. Data analysis was used to obtain results in improving students' mathematical literacy skills through a gain score test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained that 1) the computational thinking-based calculus 1 e-module was declared valid with a value of 0.72 indicating a high validity category, 2) the results of the lecturer response questionnaire of 84.00% and the student response of 81.06% showed that the computational thinking-based calculus E-module was very practical to be used by students and lecturers, and 3) the computational thinking-based calculus E-module was effective in improving students' mathematical literacy skills by the results of the limited trial and the field trial with an N-gain value of 0.74 in the limited trial and 0.77 in the field trial with the high category. Thus, the computational thinking-based Calculus e-module developed is very practical and effective to be used to improve students' mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

The high divorce rate demands effective and peaceful dispute resolution efforts, primarily through mediation in court. This study aims to examine the effectiveness and procedures of mediation in court in resolving divorce disputes in a structured and peaceful manner. Using a normative legal research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, this study analyzes laws and regulations related to mediation procedures in Indonesia, including Regulation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2016 concerning Mediation Procedures in Court. The study's results indicate that mediation has proven effective in reconciling couples about to divorce. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 1 of 2016, the mediation procedure in the Religious Court begins with pre-mediation, continues with the mediation process facilitated by the mediator, and ends with the recording of the mediation conclusion. The success of mediation is marked by a peace agreement stated in a peace deed. This study suggests the importance of increasing the capacity of mediators, socializing the benefits of mediation, and developing innovative mediation models to optimize the function of mediation as a means of resolving divorce disputes effectively, efficiently, and peacefully.
