Abstract

Employee productivity plays a central role in sustaining organizational competitiveness, particularly in the energy sector where operational efficiency is critical. This study investigates the influence of work motivation and work ability on employee productivity at PT. Energi Mega Persada (EMP) Bentu LTD Pekanbaru. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected from 80 employees through purposive sampling. Research instruments, measured on a five-point Likert scale, were tested for validity and reliability, with Cronbach’s Alpha values exceeding 0.79, confirming strong internal consistency. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression using SPSS 23 to assess both partial and simultaneous effects. The results demonstrate that both work motivation (β = 0.506, p < 0.001) and work ability (β = 0.331, p = 0.004) significantly and positively affect employee productivity, with motivation identified as the stronger determinant. Descriptive findings further reveal that occupational safety, recognition of achievements, punctuality, and collaboration contribute substantially to productivity outcomes. These findings reinforce human capital theory, emphasizing the dual importance of psychological drivers and technical competence in shaping employee performance. Practically, the study recommends the implementation of structured reward systems, occupational health and safety enhancements, and targeted training programs to optimize workforce potential. Future research should broaden the scope by including gender diversity and organizational culture to provide a more comprehensive understanding of productivity determinants.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of work motivation and work environment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) with job satisfaction as an intervening variable among employees of the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Tourism Office. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 74 employees through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 2.0. The results show that work motivation and work environment have a positive and significant effect on OCB, and job satisfaction mediates these relationships, indicating that employees who feel satisfied with their work are more likely to engage in voluntary behaviors beyond formal job duties. These findings highlight the importance of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and a supportive work environment in fostering positive employee attitudes and extra-role behavior that enhance organizational performance. Theoretically, the study clarifies the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between work motivation, work environment, and OCB within a public tourism context, while practically providing insights for public institutions to strengthen human resource policies that encourage proactive, cooperative, and high-performing behavior. Future studies are recommended to include additional variables such as organizational culture and leadership style to deepen understanding of OCB dynamics.

Abstract

This study seeks to analyze the conformity of business practices on TikTok Shop with Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and the principles of Islamic economics. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a normative juridical method, focusing on a literature review of Islamic economic law, consumer protection regulations, and relevant studies on electronic transactions. Data analysis was conducted thematically using the Miles and Huberman interactive model to capture recurring patterns and core issues. The findings demonstrate several weaknesses in current practices, including inadequate product information disclosure, limited transparency of additional costs, and underdeveloped consumer complaint mechanisms. From the perspective of Islamic economics, the study also identifies the presence of gharar (uncertainty), riba (usury), and exploitation, which contradict the values of justice, transparency, and accountability. This research contributes to the broader discourse on digital consumer protection by integrating legal and sharia perspectives. It provides both theoretical insight and practical recommendations for strengthening regulation, enhancing consumer awareness, and building a fairer and more ethical e-commerce ecosystem aligned with Islamic principles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of brand ambassador, website quality, and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM) on purchase decisions in Shopee e-commerce within the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Employing a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 100 active Shopee users through purposive sampling, using structured questionnaires measured on a five-point Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 23 to determine both partial and simultaneous effects among variables. The findings reveal that brand ambassador, website quality, and E-WOM each have a positive and significant impact on purchase decisions. Specifically, effective brand ambassadors enhance consumer trust and brand image, while a high-quality website with appealing visuals, easy navigation, and security features fosters user confidence and satisfaction. Likewise, positive E-WOM through online reviews and peer recommendations significantly strengthens consumer purchase intentions. These findings underscore the importance of integrating digital marketing communication strategies to enhance customer experience and loyalty in e-commerce. Future research is recommended to incorporate additional variables such as brand trust, customer satisfaction, and digital service quality to develop a more comprehensive model of online consumer behavior.
