Abstract

Children's artistic creativity in TK Muslimat NU 02 Singgorojo Kendal is still relatively low, this can be seen from the initial conditions that there are still many children who cannot make simple drawings, make simple drawings and redesign simple images. The method used by the teacher is not appropriate, not in accordance with the needs and development of the child and the media used by the teacher is not attractive to be one of the causes of this condition. This study aims to increase children's artistic creativity in making simple pictures, making simple pictures and simple picture redesign activities at TK Muslimat NU 02 Singorojo Kendal. This type of research is classroom action research, where the subject of this research is the students of TK Muslimat NU 02 Singorojo Kendal, totaling 20 people. The data in this study were obtained through observation, then the data was processed and analyzed using the percentage technique. The study was carried out for two cycles, the results obtained showed that printing with natural materials could increase the creativity of fine arts in Muslimat NU 02 Singorojo Kendal Kindergarten children. Before the study, children's art skills were still low, but after going through printing activities with natural materials it was seen that there was an increase in children's artistic creativity, therefore it was suggested to teachers to be more creative in using media and it was hoped that the school could prepare infrastructure to stimulate children's development through printing activities. with other natural ingredients.Keywords: artistic creativity, printing, natural materials

Abstract

Critical thinking skills in students need to be developed in the learning process. Teachers have a strategic role in choosing the approach and learning method used. One of the learning models that can train students' critical thinking skills is a problem-based learning model or Problem Based Learning (PBL). Implementing problem solving skills must be possessed by students in the 21st century, can train students' abilities in problem solving in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on students' critical thinking skills. This type of quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experiment). The subjects of this study were 52 students of class X SMK NU Ungaran for the 2021/2022 academic year majoring in Visual and Communication Design (DKV). The results of hypothesis testing in this study using the biserial correlation test with the results of a significance value smaller than the alpha value applied, namely 0.050. The significance value of the data test is 0.010 < 0.050, and in the test using the t test, the t-count results obtained are 4.501 which is greater than the t-table of 2.008 (4.501> 2,000) and the significance obtained is 0.000 < 0.050. This means that problem-based learning model learning can foster critical thinking skills.Keywords: problem-based learning model, critical thinking skills

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all sectors of human life, including the world of education and teaching. The transformation of teaching experienced massive changes, ranging from teaching styles, learning models to learning evaluation. However, the relaxation of social access restrictions in early 2022 provides an opportunity for face-to-face learning to be held. The purpose of this study was to analyze the readiness of face-to-face learning in the new normal era with a SWOT matrix analysis for Undaris students. This research method is qualitative to formulate the readiness needed in carrying out limited face-to-face learning. The subjects of this study were all Undaris students. Meanwhile, data collection uses a questionnaire with the help of the google form application. The results obtained four formulations from the SWOT analysis, namely the Strength–Opportunities (SO) strategy, Weaknesses–Opportunities (WO), Strength–Threats (ST), and Weaknesses–Threat (WT) strategies, among others, improving the quality and standards of learning, restoring commitment students, evaluation of new building construction activities, and adjustment of lecture halls. The conclusion in this study is that the SWOT analysis in limited face-to-face learning can be used as a reference and input in improving learning standards for lecturers, students, and institutions so that the quality of learning at Undaris is maintained and optimal.Keywords: SWOT analysis, face-to-face learning, new normal

Abstract

Citizenship education provided by each country aims to guide and shape the character of good citizens and create democratic citizens. The United States of America is a country that initiates citizenship education lessons and is one of the superpowers in the world because of its economic and political strength. The method used in writing this article uses the literature review method with the main data source, namely library data, consisting of books, journals, and internet sites related to the topic. The data analysis technique used in this article is content analysis. The discussion of this article is focused on the national policy and content of the civic education curriculum in the United States which can be assessed as civic education leading closer to the continuum of maximal civic education.Keywords: citizenship education, democratic, United States of America.

Abstract

This article discusses about the strategy of civic education teacher in instilling democratic values of Pancasila at SMK PGRI 3 Salatiga. This study used a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were 1 teacher and 20 students of class XI. The data collection techniques carried out in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes three steps : data categorization, data description, and conclusions. The results showed that the strategy of civic education teacher in instilling democratic values of Pancasila at SMK PGRI 3 Salatiga was by using learning models or methods including discovery learning, problem based learning, and project based learning. However of the three models or methods, teacher tend to use discovery learning and use approaches related to the democratic values of Pancasila in every learning process, both in the classroom and outside the classroom.Keywords: teacher strategy, democratic values of Pancasila
