Abstract

This study uses panel data regression, a two-step dynamic approach, to examine the effect of industry-specific financial risk and macroeconomics on the financial stability of private commercial banks in Indonesia. This study offers a comprehensive evaluation of how various elements affect financial stability over a 5-year period by examining data from 43 conventional banks. The results show that the financial stability of several banks has a positive effect on the variables of previous year stability, credit risk, liquidity, and bank concentration, a negative effect on the variables of bank size and gross domestic product, and no effect on the variable of real interest rate. On the other hand, lower financial stability is associated with larger banks and a country's economic performance. Larger banks may face greater operational and risk management difficulties, and financial stability may be disrupted by the real interest rate. Policy makers and bank managers, who face difficulties in controlling credit risk and bank size, need to understand these insights. According to the study, resilience can be strengthened by previous financial stability and positive economic indicators, but to maintain financial stability, it is necessary to pay attention to reducing the risks associated with large banks and credit risk to ensure sustainable financial stability.

Abstract

The increasingly dynamic and competitive environment faced by state-owned enterprises highlights the importance of effective leadership in ensuring the successful implementation of strategic human resource management practices. This study examines the effect of Leadership on the successful implementation of High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS), with Organizational Commitment and Innovation Culture serving as intervening variables, at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Mojokerto. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected through a census survey of all 85 permanent employees and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that leadership has a positive and significant direct effect on HPWS, as well as on organizational commitment and innovation culture. Furthermore, organizational commitment and innovation culture were found to have significant positive effects on HPWS and to partially mediate the relationship between leadership and HPWS. These findings indicate that leadership enhances HPWS implementation not only through direct managerial influence but also indirectly by strengthening employees’ psychological attachment to the organization and fostering an innovation-oriented work environment. Overall, this study provides empirical evidence that integrating leadership practices with efforts to build organizational commitment and innovation culture is essential for achieving sustainable HPWS, particularly within the context of Indonesian state-owned enterprises

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Jayapura City Government in facilitating access to public information as a community-based development strategy, identify the community's critical capacity in responding to such information, and formulate a constructive interaction model to support local economic development within the context of Papua's Special Autonomy. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach supplemented by quantitative data from a survey of 165 respondents across five districts, the research finds that the Jayapura City Government has initiated a digital transformation through the Smart City program and the provision of various information infrastructures, such as Command Centers and free internet access in rural villages. The analysis reveals that a majority of the community (71.5%) perceives the government as moderately to highly active in disseminating development information, with 66.7% of respondents considering the information services relatively user-friendly and responsive. Despite these advancements, structural challenges such as the digital literacy gap and uneven internet access between regions, particularly in peripheral areas like the Muara Tami District, remain significant obstacles to creating inclusive and accountable information governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of project cost efficiency, capital structure, and dividend policy on firm value in state-owned enterprises operating in the construction sector in Indonesia. The research is motivated by the decline in financial performance and market valuation of state-owned construction companies (BUMN Karya) amid capital-intensive operations and long-term project-based business characteristics. This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression methods. The research objects consist of state-owned construction companies listed on the Indonesian capital market during the 2020–2024 period. The results indicate that cost efficiency has a positive effect on firm value, while capital structure has a negative effect on firm value. Dividend policy is proven to have a positive effect on firm value, indicating the role of dividends as a signal of market confidence. However, the results of the simultaneous test show that cost efficiency, capital structure, and dividend policy jointly do not have a significant effect on firm value. These findings suggest that the firm value of state-owned construction companies is not solely determined by internal policies but is also influenced by external factors such as project risk and industry dynamics. This study provides important managerial implications for management in formulating more adaptive financial policies to enhance firm value sustainably. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of capital structure, working capital, liquidity, and firm size on profitability, with the exchange rate serving as a moderating variable in textile and garment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. The research is motivated by increasing financial pressure and exchange rate uncertainty faced by manufacturing industries in emerging economies. Panel data regression using the Fixed Effect Model combined with Moderated Regression Analysis is employed to analyze firms’ financial data. The findings indicate that capital structure, working capital, and firm size have a positive and significant impact on profitability, while liquidity does not exhibit a significant direct effect. Furthermore, the exchange rate moderates the relationship between capital structure and liquidity on profitability and weakens the influence of firm size on profitability. However, the exchange rate does not moderate the relationship between working capital and profitability. These results highlight the importance of adaptive financial management and heightened awareness of exchange rate risk in sustaining profitability within the textile and garment industry. Keywords: capital structure, working capital, liquidity, firm size, profitability, exchange rate)

Abstract

Human Resource Management plays a crucial role in determining organizational success, as organizational performance is highly influenced by the quality and contributions of employees. Employees are not only implementers but also key drivers in achieving organizational goals. Job satisfaction is an important factor affecting employee discipline, attendance, and work motivation. In addition, career development and a strong organizational culture contribute to creating a supportive work environment that enhances both performance and job satisfaction. In public broadcasting institutions such as TVRI, the professionalism and quality of human resources are essential in delivering information, education, and entertainment to the public. TVRI West Kalimantan, as part of this institution, faces challenges in implementing organizational culture, including gaps between expected values and actual employee behavior, particularly in terms of discipline and responsibility. Furthermore, leadership changes require employees to adapt to new policies and working styles. Previous studies indicate that organizational culture and career development have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction, which in turn improves employee performance. Therefore, it is important for organizations to strengthen a positive work culture and provide career development opportunities in order to enhance employee satisfaction and performance effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of audit quality, company size, and liquidity on going concern audit opinions (GCAO) in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2024 period. This study employed a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from financial statements and annual reports. The sample comprised manufacturing companies that were initially selected through random sampling. The resulting sample was then refined using purposive sampling based on predefined eligibility criteria. Hypothesis testing was conducted using logistic regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS. The dependent variable in this study was the going-concern audit opinion, while the independent variables consisted of audit quality, company size, and liquidity. The results indicate that audit quality has a significant negative effect on going concern audit opinions. Firm size has a significant positive effect on GCAO, while liquidity has no significant effect on GCAO. This study provides empirical evidence that audit quality functions as an effective monitoring mechanism in reducing the likelihood of GCAO. Large firms are not necessarily protected from receiving such opinions, while liquidity is not a determining factor of GCAO.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of tax avoidance, capital structure, debt policy, managerial ownership, and environmental performance on firm value in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2024. The research employs a quantitative approach grounded in positivism, using panel data derived from annual reports and PROPER environmental ratings. The sample consists of mining companies selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Firm value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV), while independent variables are proxied by relevant financial ratios and environmental performance ratings. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and panel data regression with model selection through Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests at a 5% significance level. The results indicate that capital structure and managerial ownership have a positive and significant effect on firm value, whereas tax avoidance, debt policy, and environmental performance do not significantly influence firm value. These findings suggest that financial structure and internal ownership play a more substantial role in determining market valuation than tax strategy and environmental performance within the observed period.

Abstract

This Bureaucratic simplification is one of the government's strategic agendas in its efforts to realize effective, efficient, and adaptive governance. Through Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Regulation No. 17 of 2021, the government established a policy of equating administrative positions with functional positions as a form of structural reform to strengthen the professionalism of the civil service. This study aims to analyze the implementation of this policy in the Asahan Regency Secretariat, identify obstacles in its implementation, and examine the efforts made to overcome the obstacles that arise. The research approach used is qualitative and descriptive in nature, through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the implementation of the position equalization policy in Asahan Regency has been carried out in accordance with the provisions, but still encounters various obstacles such as the unpreparedness of human resources, the lack of understanding of officials regarding functional positions, and the mismatch between competencies and positions resulting from equalization. The psychological factors of officials, changes in work patterns, and adaptation to new workloads are also significant challenges. Efforts made include increased socialization and technical guidance by the Organization and BKPSDM Division,as well as readjusting functional positions by the deadline set by the government. The findings of this study are expected to be taken into consideration by local governments in improving the effectiveness of implementing position equalization policies as part of bureaucratic reform.
