Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Musharakah and murabahah financing on profitability in Islamic business units, as well as to examine the impact of Non-Performing Financing (NPF) on profitability. Additionally, this research assesses whether NPF can moderate the effect of Musharakah and murabahah financing on profitability. Thus, the study is expected to provide comprehensive insights into the relationship between types of Islamic financing, financing quality, and financial performance of Islamic business units. The research method used is a quantitative approach with eight Islamic business units selected using purposive sampling between 2020 and 2023. The data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis to test the hypotheses proposed in the study. The results indicate that Musharakah financing has a negative and significant effect on profitability, with a coefficient of -3.562 and a probability value of 0.001. This suggests that higher Musharakah financing is associated with decreased financial performance of Islamic banks. Conversely, murabahah financing has a positive and significant effect on profitability, with a coefficient of 4.593 and a probability value of 0.000, meaning that higher murabahah financing is associated with improved financial performance. NPF is not able to moderate the effect of Musharakah on profitability, with a coefficient of -2.667 and a probability value of 0.013, but it is able to moderate the effect of murabahah on profitability, with a coefficient of 8.981 and a probability value of 0.000. These results are consistent with several previous studies that support these findings.

Abstract

Merger and acquisition of a banking company are generally understood as efforts to enhance the company by combining strengths or compensating for the weaknesses of one company with the strengths of another. To face the dynamics of the domestic and global economy and information technology, it is necessary to strengthen the structure, resilience, and competitiveness of the national banking industry, which can be achieved by strengthening bank capital and banking consolidation in Indonesia, especially Regional Development Banks. To promote the stability of the banking industry, particularly the strengthening of individual banks, merger and acquisition strategies in the form of banking consolidation need to be considered. Banking consolidation policies are one of the policy options regulators take to strengthen financial system stability. One of the processes that must be carried out is analyzing the performance to find companies that are suitable for acquisition, in accordance with the problem statement: How is the performance of the Regional Development Banks that become acquiring banks, and how is the performance of Regional Development Banks whose core capital does not yet meet regulatory requirements, making them suitable for acquisition. Data from 27 Regional Development Banks were analyzed based on several financial ratios, namely ROA, ROE, NIM, LDR, CAR, and NPL, and the changes in economic performance into five clusters using IBM SPSS version 27 with K-Mean Cluster Classification. The analysis showed that out of the 27 Regional Development Banks, 11 banks experienced a status increase, 10 companies experienced a decrease, and 6 did not change. It was found that the performance of 4 Regional Development Banks that would become acquiring banks is "good" and there are 3 banks, namely Bank Jambi, Bank Kalteng, and Bank Sultra, which are considered very suitable for acquisition with a status of "Very Good".

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of HR information system quality, work discipline, training, and career development on the performance of educators in the Jatiroto District. The method used is a structural model with independent variables including HR information system quality, work discipline, training, and development, and educator performance as the dependent variable. Model evaluation was conducted through tests of convergent validity, discriminant validity, and composite reliability. The results of the study indicate that work discipline and career development have a positive and significant influence on educator performance, while HR information system quality and training do not have a significant effect. The R-squared value of 0.85 indicates that 85% of the variation in performance can be explained by these four variables. These findings highlight the importance of work discipline and career development in improving educator performance and provide implications for human resource management in the education sector, particularly concerning discipline management and career development.

Abstract

DKI Jakarta faces the issue of low productivity in the agricultural sector, contributing only 0.49% to the regional economy and relying on food supplies from other regions up to 98% (BPS, 2021). The Ampar Adhum Farmer Group conducts integrated hydroponic farming activities in Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara District, Jakarta, as an alternative food producer with a productivity rate of 70 kg/day. Since 2018, this farmer group has implemented an empowerment program aimed at improving the welfare of its members. This study aims to analyze the influence of empowerment and transformational leadership on the welfare of the Ampar Adhum Farmer Group members with performance as a mediating variable. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based on a Likert scale questionnaire distributed to all group members. Out of a total of 110 members, 54 were sampled for the study. The results indicate that empowerment does not significantly affect members' welfare, while transformational leadership has a significant impact. Furthermore, performance does not significantly mediate the effect of empowerment and transformational leadership on members' welfare.
