Abstract

On January 1st, 2020, Bank Indonesia officially released and implemented the Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) payment method. Although some students still use cash as a means of payment, many of them are switching to QRIS to make transactions. This study aims to analyze preferences for using QRIS, factors that influence the use of QRIS, and obstacles faced by Accounting Education Study Program students in its use. The method used in this research is a case study, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. To ensure data validity, researchers applied triangulation techniques by collecting information from the same source through various methods. The data analysis process includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students of the Accounting Education Study Program tend to choose QRIS to meet their daily needs, such as buying food, clothing, skin care products, boarding house equipment, and cooking ingredients. They consider QRIS as a better payment tool because of the convenience, speed, and practicality factors. However, the obstacles faced, such as internet network instability and running out of quota, do not prevent them from continuing to use QRIS as the main payment method.

The population is all Islamic Financial Institutions listed on the ISSI. Sampling is done using the Purposive Sampling technique with the number of samples obtained from as many as 5 Islamic Financial Institutions with a total of 35 observation data. The results showed that ICSR and Sharia Governance influence the company's financial performance as measured using Return on Equity (ROE). Thus, this research concludes that ICSR positively affected the IFI’s financial performance. Then the measurement of Sharia Governance using the number of Sharia Supervisory Board meetings can be used to determine the condition of the Company's financial performance.

Abstract

This study empirically examines the effect of credit risk using a new measure that is influenced by stimulus policy in Indonesia and bank size on the profitability of Indonesian banks during the Covid-19 pandemic. It employed the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) Dynamic Model to obtain an overview of the effectiveness of the relaxation policy in maintaining the profitability of Indonesian banks. The stimulus policy by the regulator during the COVID-19 pandemic changed the credit risk calculation and this research contributed by using credit risk measurement adjusted to the stimulus policy by adding restructuring loans in current quality. The study found that credit risk negatively affected profitability in the period during the Covid-19 pandemic. This finding is probably due to the stimulus policy allowing banks to remain current on the credit quality with no addition to the provision. Bank profitability during the pandemic was not significantly affected by credit risk, allegedly among others, also influenced by the good adaptability of banks in Indonesia through additional services. Bank size has had a significant negative effect on profitability during the COVID-19 pandemic for small, medium, and large banks. The larger the size of the bank, the riskier it becomes due to the addition of reputation management including other operational costs.

Abstract

The tradition of stone burning is a cultural ritual that has a deep meaning and has long been attached to the community in Papua. This study compares the symbolism and intention of the ritual in building cultural identity between mountainous (Dani Tribe) in Manokwari and coastal (Doreri Tribe) communities in Manokwari, Papua. A qualitative method with a comparative case study approach was used to analyze the differences in practices, symbolic meanings, and contributions of the stone-burning tradition in shaping cultural identity in the two groups. Findings revealed significant variations in implementing and interpreting the ritual's meaning, reflecting adaptations to different natural and social environments. Even so, the value of tradition as a social glue and reinforcement of cultural identity is still maintained in both groups. This result strengthens the theory of cultural adaptation and demonstrates the flexibility of ritual practice in preserving its emblematic nature. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of local culture's dynamics and tradition's function in contemporary society. Practical implications include the development of cultural preservation and tourism strategies that are more responsive to regional diversity. Further research is recommended to expand the scope of the communities studied and conduct long-term studies to understand changes in traditional practices over time.

The population in this research is all people in the province of West Java. Samples were collected using the Accidental Sampling technique, and statistical testing tools using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS software. The research results show that financial literacy, lifestyle, and gender directly influence investment behavior, while income has no impact. Indirectly, financial literacy, income, and lifestyle moderated by gender do not influence investment behavior, meaning that neither men nor women have any influence.

Abstract

This study investigates how customer perceptions of service quality and airline brand image affect customer loyalty and intentions to repurchase. By employing a systematic literature review (SLR) method in line with the PRISMA protocol, the research examines 50 articles indexed in Scopus that pertain to customer perceptions in the airline sector. The results indicate that favorable perceptions of service quality significantly impact brand image, thereby promoting customer loyalty and repurchase intentions. Mediating factors such as "brand love," "passenger loyalty," and "positive word of mouth" are essential in reinforcing these connections. Additionally, the study presents a conceptual framework for airlines to develop more effective strategies aimed at improving customer loyalty. This research not only addresses theoretical gaps but also provides practical insights for enhancing airline service strategies that yield long-term benefits for customer loyalty.
