Abstract

The role of universities in preparing quality and reliable human resources cannot be separated from lecturer performance. Given the role, duties and responsibilities of lecturers are very important in educating students. With the still thick culture where the lecturers as main actors in the classroom who are fully responsible for the delivery of material, coupled with other tri dharma assignments such as research and community service not to mention added with other tasks that make the administrative workload of lecturers very draining time and energy. This tendency will cause gaps between lecturers due to the busyness of each lecturer which causes the relationship between lecturers to sub-optimal and tends to create a sense of individualism and affect their performance, so a social approach is needed to bridge this. For this reason, the research conducted to test the influence relationship between social capital dimensions consisting of structural dimensions, rational dimensions and cognitive dimensions on lecturer performance. The study was conducted at one private university in the city of Serang, against 58 permanent lecturers using the purposive sampling method and the Partial Least Square analysis method. The results showed that the three dimensions had the results of outer model analysis and inner model analysis that were fit and had a significant effect both partially and simultaneously, with a total influence of 72.8% while the remaining 27.2% were influenced by variables outside this research model. Cognitive dimension becomes the most dominant dimension of social capital variables on lecturer performance. Abstract

AbstractThe chemical manufacturing sector is one of the supporters of the domestic economy which contributes to the value of domestic exports of 6.41% of total exports. However, in the last 3 years there was a significant decrease in production volume which caused the growth of the chemical industry sector to only reach 3.48%, this value is still below the national economic growth. This shows the importance of competitive advantage in facing global competition. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the indicators that influence competitive advantage viewed from the perspective of human resources by using managerial functions on sustainable organizational performance by using environmental, social and economic dimensions. The study was conducted in the chemical manufacturing industry sector in Banten Province of 110 respondents with criteria as managerial level or decision making with a minimum working period of 2 years and using a purposive sampling method. The analytical method uses Smart PLS 3 against 4 indicators of competitive advantage and 28 indicators of organizational performance that is sustainable. The results of the outer model show that all indicators of competitive advantage can build latent variables, while of 28 indicators of sustainable organizational performance there are 3 indicators that have loading factors below 0.70, so that only 25 indicators are able to build latent variables. The inner model results show that the model built has good goodness of fit, while the results of the hypothesis test show a significant influence between the variables of competitive advantage on sustainable organizational performance with a magnitude of influence of 50.3%.Keywords: Managerial function, Competitive Advantage, Sustainable Organizational                        Performance.

Abstract

Abstract - This increase in economic growth does not necessarily increase the profitability of banks in Indonesia. There are three fundamental problems that have been unearthed by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) for banks, among others, the first decline in bank interest rates continuously causing bank interest margins to thin. Second, the regulatory burden requires banks to set aside capital for additional bank capital reserves and thirdly the potential increase in the risk of non-performing loans due to global economic uncertainty and the uneven recovery of the domestic economy. For this reason, this research was conducted to find out how much profitability of domestic banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2014-2018 and also the relationship between internal predictors which, according to the review study, had a significant effect on profitability. The population in this study were 43 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2018 period while the sample was 10 banks listed on the IDX with the largest number of assets according to Bank Indonesia using the purposive sampling method. The results showed a significant CAR, LDR, NPL and BOPO significantly influence ROA. While partially LDR, NPL and BOPO have a significant effect on ROA while CAR has no significant effect. The magnitude of the effect of the predictor variable on profitability using the coefficient of determination obtained by 74.2% while the remaining 25.8% is influenced by other variables outside this research model. Keywords: Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Liquidity Ratio (LDR), Credit Risk (NPL), Operational Cost Efficiency (BOPO). Profitability (ROA).
