Abstract

Abstract Motivation is needed in improving students’ speaking ability. It is so important to realize the strategy which is suitable to students’ life. Students face many problems in speaking English. They are afraid to talk and no self confidence to try speaking English. It is totally hard for students who learn English as a Foreign Language. They don’t have a place to practice their English. It makes students lazy to learn and speak English. In this case, teachers must be smart to find strategy or right technique. As a teacher or instructor of English, we must be active to find out appropriate strategy to help our students. In order to solve the problem, there will be some methods can be applied in teaching and learning process. These methods can motivate and inspire students to speak. Students will find ideas through the pictures, friends and condition around their class. They are so helpful and useful in order to improve students’ speaking ability. Key words: Motivation, Speaking

Abstract

Change is an obligation to do as long as it took to change for the better and able to solve problems that arise in the past. This was the spirit of the government to create a new curriculum. Education in Indonesia makes parameters in form of curriculum that teachers should obey it in teaching and learning in the classroom. Curriculum is a guide for teachers in teaching learning process in order achieve the objective. The curriculum in language teaching and learning depends on how the organization of content. Curriculum and its development according to the needs of students, schools, communities and the demands of the times. The curriculum should be match to the dynamics and demands of society for curriculum design/program(learning) which aims to prepare students to be members of the community. This article discusses about the concept of curriculum and development of curriculum in Indonesia.

Abstract

Anxiety, an unpleasant state of inner turmoil and apprehension, often accompanied by nervous behavior, has proved that effects on the reading English literacy of Indonesia foreign learners’ context. The anxious feeling gives negative attitudes toward reading since each single thing is easy to comprehend by involving emotional. In order to reduce the anxious feeling, reading atmosphere is important to be implemented in order to help the learners’ literacy in English increase. It is not only that providing materials that cope the familiar local culture in English language materials help students become aware of how their local cultures enriches their linguistic resources and social practices, thereby making their language learning meaningful.

Abstract

the current issue of significant concern that many countries define literacy as the ability to read and/ or write simple statement in either a national or native language. In fact, the learning of English literacy has been developing in many definitions by different opinions and different countries in the world. Some researchers reported the understanding of being and becoming literate must be shows how variants of it into policy discourse. This paper highlights the significance of concept mapping in reading literacy. As addition, in this context that reading literacy will be used by using concept maps then it can be designed by pictures, circles or boxs after reading the text depend on the ways of thinking and the creativity in create it.

Abstract

Early childhood education is an important issue to be discussed and addressed by parents and teachers as educators. As a result, the total population of 264 million people in Indonesia, there are 171.17 million people or around 64.8 percent who are already connected to the internet. This figure increased from 2017 when the internet penetration rate in Indonesia was recorded at 54.86 percent. By being given an education from an early age, children can use gadgets to find topics that match the subject matter at school, in addition to facilitating communication with parents and other family members. While digital technology can be used to help children learn and develop, it is up to parents to monitor what kind of information is accessible. Parents face many challenges in educating, raising, and nurturing their children in today's digital era.

Abstract

Nowadays, the development of technology and learning system have been rapidly increasing and changing as the educators are challenged how to be creative in finding a new strategy in learning and teaching process. It will guide the students to get optimal progress in learning outcomes. There are various ways in learning strategies that are applied by the educators which usually they spend much time in designing high quality learning tasks, creating engaging activities and relentlessly pursuing better classroom routines and behavior management. All of these elements are considered in achieving learning outcomes while there is another essential element that the educators often do not plan for or evaluate. The essential element is a feedback. Therefore, this paper is intended to be one of the references in developing teaching learning strategies to achieve an optimal learning outcome in learning and teaching process. This studyused descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of this study indicates that the feedback strategy provides positive results in achieving learning goal and outcome.
