Teaching English is a challenging to teacher of English. They must work hard to teach, introduce and persuade students to learn. There are four skills in teaching English, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. Among them, speaking will be challenging for students. They are afraid to talk and no self confidence to write in English. It is totally hard for students who learn English as a Foreign Language. They don’t have more opportunities to learnt English. It makes students lazy to learn, speak and write English. In this case, teachers must be smart to find strategy or right technique. In order to improve students’ interest and ability a method can be used. Picture Series is one of the methods which is suitable to be applied in teaching students in the classroom. This method can motivate and inspire students to write. Students will find ideas through the pictures. It is so helpful and useful in order to improve students’ writing ability.

This article describes about the concept of Literature circle in teaching reading for young learners. Many people agree that English has a great important as one of International languages. It is taught almost in all levels of education in the world, including Indonesia. Students need to master the four English language skills :litening, speaking, writing and reading. Reading is one of skilss for students acquire. There are some reasons why the students have difficulties in reading such as they are unfamiliar with the vocabulary, they can’t understand the topic of the reading and the teaching method used by the teacher do not attract them. As teachers, we should have new method in teaching and learning process. Literature circle is a good method to support, facilitate and persuade students to enjoy learning English. This method provides students to work with team or make a group discussion who are reading the same work of literature and also students have responsibilities during the discussion sessions in order the students enlarge their knowledge from story that they read.

Speaking is one difficult element in English Language Education. It is complex and need some practice for developing this skill. Speaking also uses for communication. When we speak we produce the text and it should be meaningful. In the nature of communication, we can find the speaker, the listener, the message and the feedback. Speaking could not be separated from pronunciation as it encourages learners to learn the English sounds. One of the techniques is movie. Movie is interesting media for student to learn English language and developing their speaking ability. Movie can be effective media for teaching activity in the class, because movie is one of interactive media which can be used for teaching student understanding and comprehension of their ability besides that watching films or movies is a fun way to improve our English especially speaking ability. the benefits of using film in the language learning classroom, it is not surprising that many teachers are keen to use film with their students,and an increasing number of them are successfully integrating film into the language-learning syllabus.

Listening is theway to catch information accurately and the way to know what is the messages about in the process of communication. It means that the students here are be able to interprete what the speaker say.The way to listen is to pay attention to sound or action.In fact, in learning procesess, teaching listening faced some difficulties for the students. One of the reasons is as foreign language. Therefore, the writer tried to use one of methods in teaching listening. Such as: the audio lingual method.This method is very important to know, especially: how the principles of this method, what is the goals for the teachers and students, how about the roles for the teachers, how is the feelings of the students using this method, etc. In addition, to face those problems, this articleexplained some solutions to make the students more interesting in learning listening.

The use of YouTube in teaching the English language plays a leading role in helping learners understand their English lessons. It can improve the performance of students and upgrade their levels in English courses. In other words, YouTube presented a substantial influence on students’ understanding of English. Also, this paper found that YouTube could be a good material to incorporate English lessons and it can help with understanding the lesson as well. It should be considered by English teachers in the classroom since many of the learners’ responses in this study were positive. In short, the study showed that the YouTube website can be an effective method in dealing with students’ difficulties and barriers in understanding English. It is conceived to be more effective and successful than textbook-based English courses in promoting better learning of English.

Abstract Many people’s everyday lives points at new possibilities for conducting online and mobile focus groups. This paper offers new empirical insights from using the method as part of a digital ethnography with young activists. The presence of WhatsApp in participants’ everyday lives offers a context with high ecological validity. The paper suggests that this opens up new options for designing online focus groups. WhatsApp also offers opportunities for creating more inclusive group discussions also finds that this familiarity and inclusivity affords the potential for group deliberation, which can be particularly valuable in participatory research.

Abstract: Information-communication technologies (ICT) are a part ofour world and we use it everyday. ICTs are used in many aspect of life,such as: economic, healthy, social, and education. Teaching techniqueusing chalk and talk or explanation is not popular anymore. It is thensuggested that the teacher uses internet within his teaching learningprocess and it is also compulsory for the students to learn to use it. TheInternet is a must, because it can be used (1) as the source of knowledge(2) as an aid for learning (instructional aid) (3) as teaching or learningfacility (4) as a standard of competency (5) as an administrativeequipment (6) as a supporting equipment for the school management (7)as an educational infrastructure. In language teaching and learning, wehave alot of ways to choose from the world of technology: Radio, TV,CD Rom, Computers, C.A.L.L., The Internet, Electronic Dictionary,Email, Blogs and Audio Cassettes, Power Point, Videos, DVD’s orVCD’s. ICT can also be very attractive for students. The effectivenessof ICT in education is demonstrated by the achievement ofcommunication objectives, while efficiency is showed by saving cost,time and effort. In use in the educational process, theoretically, ICTwould bring positive benefits. For all education participants, bothteachers and students, ICT helps to provide a huge and variousknowledge as well as up to date and easily accessible in a relativelyrapid and in some cases even is free of charge. As a result technologyplays a ver important role in English teaching. Using multimedia tocreate a context or task to teach English has an advantages.
