Abstract

This study aims to examine the psychological processes behind the formation of patriotic feelings in students and explore their significance within educational environments. Using a normative-qualitative method, the research synthesizes classical psychological theories—such as those of Erikson, Bandura, Piaget, Kohlberg, and Vygotsky—with contemporary educational practices. Data were analyzed through literature review and conceptual synthesis to identify how emotional, cognitive, moral, and social dimensions influence the development of patriotism among students. The findings reveal that patriotism is not simply taught through factual instruction or ceremonial practice but is internalized through meaningful emotional experiences, critical reflection, and social modeling. Key factors that support this development include emotional attachment to cultural heritage, identity formation through history and traditions, moral reasoning through civic education, and community-based learning that fosters a sense of collective responsibility. Teachers play a vital role as both models and facilitators in this process. Ultimately, the study concludes that fostering a psychologically rooted and ethically informed patriotism requires a holistic educational approach—one that integrates emotional literacy, moral inquiry, and inclusive civic engagement to promote responsible and compassionate citizenship.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of toxic relationships on mental health, self-esteem, academic performance, and interpersonal conflict through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. Utilizing 14 empirical articles from databases such as Elsevier, Springer, and Scopus, the study identifies that toxic relationships trigger mental health disorders (35%), decreased self-esteem (24%), reduced academic performance (18%), and interpersonal conflict (24%). Factors such as emotional abuse, cultural norms, and social media exacerbate these impacts, particularly among adolescents and university students. Findings highlight the need for evidence-based interventions, such as solution-focused brief counseling, mindfulness, and communication education, to mitigate negative effects. This study provides an empirical foundation for developing culturally sensitive, community-based mental health programs to support psychological and social well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and develop socio-psychological protection mechanisms that reduce adolescents' vulnerability to religious extremism. The research employs a mixed-method approach consisting of theoretical analysis, psychological surveys, interviews, and content analysis. It is grounded in the theories of identity development (Erikson), social-cognitive learning (Bandura), psychological resilience (Asmolov), and significance quest theory (Kruglanski). Findings indicate that adolescents are particularly susceptible to radical ideologies due to emotional instability, identity confusion, lack of critical thinking, and limited social support. Key protective factors identified include psychological resilience, family and peer support, critical media literacy, value-based education, and healthy identity formation. The study recommends the integration of psychoeducational programs, early screening, and multi-level collaboration among schools, families, and communities to effectively prevent youth radicalization.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the (impact of the Presley model on the academic achievement of fifth-grade literary students in Geography and the development of their tacit intelligence). To achieve this, the researcher adopted an experimental methodology and formulated three null hypotheses. Equivalence was established between the study groups across several variables: chronological age (calculated in months), intelligence test scores, overall fourth-grade literary GPA in Geography, parental educational level, and tacit intelligence scale. The sample consisted of( 30) fifth-grade literary students from Granada High School for Boys representing the experimental group, and (30) fifth-grade students from Uthman ibn Affan High School for Boys forming the control group. The experimental group was taught using the Presley model, while the control group followed the conventional method. To fulfill the research objectives and hypotheses, two tools were prepared. The first was an achievement test in its final form, comprising 40 objective and essay items. Its face validity was confirmed by presenting it to a panel of experts and specialists. The researcher calculated the ease and discrimination coefficients for its items, and its reliability coefficient was 0.81. The second tool was a tacit intelligence scale consisting of 24 items. The validity and reliability of this scale were confirmed, with a reliability coefficient of 0.80. After selecting the sample members and establishing equivalence between the two groups across several variables, in addition to controlling internal and external validity and preparing lesson plans and research tools, the experiment was implemented. It began on Tuesday, October 3, 2024, and continued until Sunday, December 24, 2024 (thirteen weeks). Upon completion of the experiment, the researcher applied the two research tools to the students of both groups. After collecting and statistically analyzing the data using the t-test for two independent samples, the following results were obtained There was no statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level between the mean achievement scores of the experimental group taught using the Presley model and the mean achievement scores of the control group taught using the conventional method
