Abstract

The research was conducted to analyze the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility/CSR of PT. Tri Bakti Sarimas in order to improve the welfare of the people of Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. This research is qualitative research, with acase study approach. The informant selection technique used is a purposive technique. This technique includes people who are selected based on certain criteria or categories that are made according to the needs of the research objectives. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, observations, and literature studies. Data analysis techniques are carried out with Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The analysis was carried out in 3 stages, including 1) data reduction; 3) presentation of data and 4) drawing conclusions. The results showed that PT. Tri Bakti Sarimas is still a donation or voluntary from the company. The CSR program implemented is still far from the ideals of CSR that have been echoed by the government and the international community because the CSR program implemented is not a CSR program that supports the implementation of sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Cultivation theory is one of the theories of the effects of mass communication which assumes that continuous exposure to the media in the long run will provide an image and influence on the thoughts and perceptions of the audience. The media here is television. The audience begins to think that what happens in television programs also happens in their lives and reinforces their beliefs about social reality as well as the content on television. One of the television programs that provides an overview and strengthens the audience's beliefs about social reality that is in accordance with television content is soap operas and FTV. This study aims to see the magnitude of the influence of soap operas and FTV on the perspective of people, who watch soap operas and FTV continuously in the long term. This research uses the literature study method. Data collection techniques by paying attention to the responses of soap opera and FTV viewers through social media such as Tiktok comments, comments on Youtube, or seeing responses from interviews on YouTube and previous research journals. The results showed that the audience is quite influentiated, gets other sources of information, ideas, and awareness, which will change perceptions and even behavior if supported by other factors such as individual background or education level.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has caused the ease of cultures from outside to enter Indonesia. One of the cultures from abroad that enters and develops rapidly in Indonesia is Korean Culture or often referred to as Hallyu Culture. The purpose of this study is to see the influence of the development of hallyu culture in Indonesia, namely to see its influence in various sectors such as the economic, socio-cultural, and film. This study also aims to see how K-pop fans respond to the strong influence of Hallyu culture in Indonesia. The theory used in this study is Cultural Imperialism Theory, with this theory analyzed whether we are experiencing cultural colonization, because at this time hallyu culture has a strong influence in various sectors in Indonesia. This research was conducted using field observation methods and using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation or observation to one of the cafes with hallyu cultural nuances, located in Padang City. In addition to observation, we also conduct in-depth interviews, documentation, literature studies to collect data on the strong influence of hallyu culture in Indonesia in various sectors. Viewed from all aspects, it turns out that the economic, film, socio-cultural sectors have experienced the influence of hallyu culture that develops in Indonesia.

Abstract

The use of digital technology today is much easier than the last 10 years, especially with the Industrial Revolution 4.0. However, this progress is not balanced with education and a sense of responsibility in its use. As a result, there are rampant cases of sexual harassment and violence in the digital space. One of them is a case of sexual harassment that occurred on telegram. The purpose of the study was to see how the public response and audience reaction in responding to sexual harassment on Telegram social media and see how important the Twitter application for victims of sexual harassment to speak up for the incident that has happened to them. The research method used in this study is a literature research method and is qualitative. The theory used is the Spiral of Silence Theory. The results showed that many women victims of sexual harassment occurred on telegram, but because they were afraid to speak out, most victims just kept silent and chose to keep themselves silent and were afraid to report their cases. Departing from that, a lot of attention and opinions were thrown by the public on one of the social media, namely Twitter which raised the issue of sexual harassment on Telegram which made the Spiral of silence theory really exist in media.

Abstract

Social media has become a part of people's lives and cannot be separated from daily activities such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Social media is not only used as a means of conveying information, but also as a means of establishing communication. The use of social media for society cannot be separated from the motive or reason of someone in using it. Like the TikTok application that is almost liked by all circles. The theory of Uses and Gratification is a theory that explains the reasons someone uses social media and what are the functions of the media. This study aims to discuss or analyze the motives of students in using the Tiktok application. The respondents came from students of Padang State University. The data collection method was carried out by sharing questionnaire links and interviews. Based on observations made, it was found that there were several motives for using the Tiktok application for UNP students. The results of observations show that Tiktok is used as a medium of entertainment, meeting needs in terms of information and education. In addition, Tiktok is also used as a place to vent emotions or find motivation for users' lives.

Abstract

Telkomsel Orbit is an all-digital portable modem that is one of the latest superior products from PT. Cellular Telecommunications (Telkomsel). This modem allows users to access the internet anywhere and anytime because of its minimalist shape and easy to carry, the internet speed offered is up to 1 gbps and can connect to more than 30 devices. Brand image that has been built by PT. Cellular Telecommunications (Telkomsel) has an impact on the interest in buying this new product. This study has two variables with Brand Image (X) as the independent variable and Buying Interest (Y) as the dependent variable. With the aim to measure the influence of brand image on buying interest. The method used in this study is quantitative method with descriptive analysis. Sampling was carried out using the non-probability sampling method with respondents as many as 100 Telkomsel Orbit consumers domiciled in Pekanbaru City. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicated that the brand image variable had a positive and significant effect on buying interest by 62.6%.

Abstract

This research focuses on Public Relations of the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) in using communication strategies related to socializing the 43rd ASEAN Plus Summit to the public through social media. This research was conducted to identify and describe communication strategies and how the PR of the Ministry of State Secretariat overcomes the obstacles found. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study methodology through in-depth interviews as a primary data collection method. This study uses the constructivism paradigm in viewing the problem. The theory used is the Agenda setting and the Concept of the Four Steps of Public Relations. The results of this study indicate that the Ministry of State Secretariat's Public Relations uses a communication strategy by applying the Agenda setting that has been determined and redeveloped by creating interesting and informative content before disseminating it through the Ministry of State Secretariat's social media. The designed communication strategy has also gone through several stages in accordance with public relations theory, namely the concept of the Four Steps of Public Relations by implementing four stages such as Fact Finding, Planning, Communication, and Evaluation. So that the Ministry of State Secretariat's Public Relations communication strategy in socializing the 43rd ASEAN Plus Summit to the public through social media can run well and be conveyed.

Abstract

The widespread use of Instagram social media at this time, makes Instagram one of the most popular social media and makes the term Instagram celebrity (celebgram) appear. Thus, celebgram becomes a job opportunity in the field of promising services. At this time, many celebgrams are popping up on Instagram, therefore celebgrams must manage their accounts in order to create strong personal branding on Instagram in order to survive and remain relevant to compete with other Instagram accounts. Account management is one of the important things in creating strong personal branding on Instagram in order to find the characteristics and uniqueness of a celebgram. Therefore, this study discusses how the @priscaangelina celebrity account management strategy in creating a personal branding. This study uses a constructivist paradigm, with a descriptive qualitative approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of @priscaangelina's strategy with the Phenomenological Tradition, Impression Management Theory, and the Concept of Self-Actualization. By using a qualitative approach and data collection techniques in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that Prisca Angelina's celebgram manages accounts starting from profiles, appearances and uploaded content.

Abstract

The government is very aware of the presence of the Amolengo-Labuan Ferry Port in connecting the mainland and islands in Southeast Sulawesi Province so that it needs development to become a Modern Port. This research was conducted to analyze news framing related to the development of the Amolengo-Labuan Ferry Port during 2022. The results of the study concluded that online media has carried out its function as a medium for providing information to the public regarding the plan to develop the Amolengo-Labuan Ferry Port to become a modern port which will be implemented by the Provincial Transportation Service It is hoped that Southeast Sulawesi will not only be able to connect the mainland and islands in the Province of Southeast Sulawesi but also be able to encourage increased connectivity between regions, increase the mobility of people and goods and encourage economic development in the Province of Southeast Sulawesi.

Abstract

The implementation of the transportation sector with various existing problems really requires the application of Collaborative Governance. This research was conducted to analyze the implementation of Collaborative Governance in the implementation of transportation, especially in the land sector of Southeast Sulawesi Province. This research used a type of research with a qualitative approach and the research was carried out from October-December 2023. The results of the research concluded that the implementation of land sector transportation in Southeast Sulawesi Province began through a face-to-face dialogue process between stakeholders, this will give rise to trust building between stakeholders. Apart from that, commitment will be built in the collaboration process which will be born in the form of a joint agreement (MoU) between stakeholders. This series is then continued by a joint understanding by the relevant agencies and will have a temporary impact which is expected to be able to encourage the rules for organizing public transport, both passenger transport (AKDP) and goods transport, as well as road traffic rules to be more adhered to so that safe, comfortable, transportation will be created. safe and sustainable in Southeast Sulawesi Province.but
