Financial Distress Prediction in Manufacturing Companies at Indonesian Stock ExchangeThis study aims to identify, analyze, demonstrate and test the differences in health status between the model results Grover, Springate, and Zmijewski. The model used by investors who will invest in the company. This study has a characteristic that is tested three models and find the one best model. Data was tested using chi-square test. Results showed Hypothesis 1 accepted that there are differences in health status in the test model of Grover, Springate, and Zmijewski on manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange 2006-2015. Model Springate is the best predictive model than the model Grover and Springate, because it has more components than the other models and models Springate have EBIT To Current Liabilities component is how much profit the ability to pay debts. The Development Problems Analysis of Islamic Banking in Indonesia: Application Analytic Network Process MethodThis study would try to address the problems that faced by Islamic banking institutions in Indonesia. The results showed that the problems that arise in the development of Islamic banks in Indonesia consists of four important aspects, namely: human, technical, legal/structural aspect, and market/communal aspect. Decomposition of problem as a whole gains the priorities: 1) There is not enough of Islamic banks capital yet; 2) Lack of understanding of Islamic bank practitioners; 3) Lack of government support; 4) the trust and public interest to Islamic banks tend to be low.While the priority of policy strategies that are considered able to resolve the problems of Islamic banking industry in Indonesia consists of: 1) strengthen the capital and business scale and improve the efficiency level; 2) improve the quantity and quality of human resources, and also information systems and technologies; Furthermore, 3) improve the structure of Islamic bank funds and harmonization of regulation and supervision. The development of information technology makes banking provide mobile banking service applications in Indonesia as an easy, convenient and fast service. However, there are still many customers who do not have a mobile banking account. In addition, the use of currency is still in demand by the soceity. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence consumer acceptance in the context of mobile banking applications. This study uses the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model which is modified by adding the variable perceived credibility and perceived self-efficacy. This research model was tested using 205 respondents from online surveys in the Jabodetabek, Indonesia. Data was analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence has a significant effect on behavioral intention. Performance expectancy is the factor that most influences the behavior intention. Behavioral intention, facilitating condition and habit has a significant effect on reuse behavior.

This study aims to analyze factors influence Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure in palm oil plantation companies in Indonesia and Malaysia. This study analyzes influences of total assets, profitability, leverage, independent proportion of commissioners, the proportion of independent audit committee. This study is conduct on financial reports published in Indonesia and Malaysia. Methods of data collection are taken from the annual financial statements in Indonesia Stock Exchange of 17 companies and Bursa Malaysia of 22 companies. Data analysis techniques used multiple regressions. The results showed that; 1) there is no influence of total asset, profitability, leverage, and proportion of independent audit committee in palm oil plantation companies in Indonesia and Malaysia; 2) there is influence of independent board of commissioner on CSR disclosure practices in palm oil plantation companies Indonesia and Malaysia

The objective of this research, the first to analyze the effect information asymmetric toward the cost of equity, the second to analyze the effect level of disclosure toward the cost of equity, and the third to analyze the effect the managerial ownership toward the cost of equity of the manufacturing industry which are listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2010-2013. This research used samples of 35 manufacturing industry which are listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange. The sample selection method used purposive sampling method. The statistical testing were used by Partial Least Square (PLS. )The result of this research indicate that (1) information asymmetry have influences significanctly toward the cost of equity, (2) the level of disclosure don’t have influences significantly toward the cost of equity, and (3) the managerial ownership have influences significantly toward the cost of equity.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v5i2.2339

The Determinants of Customers' Loyalty in Celuler Phone ProviderFor cellular network providers to create customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is very important and become the primary business objectives. The current competition is more on improving the quality of their products and competing with each other to enhance optimal service. This study aims to identify customer loyalty determination through product quality, switching cost, price perceived, and customer satisfaction. The subjects of this study are students of several universities using Indosat IM3 Ooredoo with the number of respondents 170 by using purposive sampling technique. Methods of data analysis using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using SEM Path Analysis technique. The results showed that 18.1% customer satisfaction variable could be explained by variable switching cost and price perceived. Those variables have a positive impact on customer loyalty. On the other hand, 60.5% customer loyalty variables can explain by price perceived and customer satisfaction variables.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v8i2.7586

Customer Relationship Management and Its Influence on customer loyalty Bank: A Case Study of Bank Muamalat Indonesia. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of customer relationship management (CRM) to customer’s loyalty. Data collection is using primary and secondary data. The sampling method that used on this research is accidental sampling with 100 respondents. The analysis method on this research is multiple regressions. The CRM variables that used on this research are identify, acquire, retain, develop, and sustainable marketing. From the result, show that the CRM variable had an impact simultaneously on customer’s loyalty. Otherwise, only three variables had an impact on customer’s loyalty, such as acquire activity, retain, and sustainable marketing. There are also show that only acquire variable had an dominant influence on customer’s loyalty in Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch Slipi-Jakarta, because it has the largest coefficient value.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v5i1.2332

The Determinant of Profitability in Conventional Commercial Banks Listed in Indonesian Stock ExchangeA lot of prior studies examined the determinants of banks’ profitability, both in developed and developing countries. This paper aims to investigate factors affecting the profitability of 30 commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2012 to 2016. This study employs panel regression with annual data. The results reveal that the capital adequacy ratio, net interest margin, and gross domestic product have the positive and significant effect on return on assets. Operating expenses to operating revenues have the negative and significant impact on return on assets. The non-performing loan, loan to deposit ratio, and inflation do not affect return on assets.DOI: 10.15408/ess.v8i1.6554

The Impact of Macroeconomics Variables to Islamic Stock Index in IndonesiaThis research aim is to analyze the impact of macroeconomics variable to Islamic stock’s index in Indonesia. The macroeconomic variables are BI-rate, inflation, foreign exchange, sharia Bank of Indonesia certificate and oil world price. AbstractThe study in this research focuses on describing civic engagement or the involvement of citizens from the business world on government policies in handling Covid-19 in the form of CSR programs. The theme was raised based on the importance of their involvement in the realization of government policies related to handling Covid-19. An important level in this research is Bank Mandiri's civic engagement in the Covid-19 CSR program at the RSJPDHK. The role of civic engagement is necessary apart from being an obligation of every citizen as well as the success of a program. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The informant selection technique in this study used non-probability sampling. The results of the research show that Bank Mandiri has implemented civic engagement in the form of CSR Covid-19 in the Non-Program CSR category of Bank Mandiri during the Covid-19 pandemic, only from the point of view of civic engagement it has not fully met the objectives of civic engagement because the CSR provided is not sustainable. .
