Abstract

The purpose of this service is to find out the local wisdom of Gusjigang for santri. The method in this research is a case study to reveal the reality of gusjigang for santri, with the hope of revealing the benefits of gusjigang for santri and increasing the economic independence of santri. Gusjigang, as an example of the entrepreneurial spirit of santri, is expected to be able to overcome the character of capitalism which always seeks profit but sacrifices social morals. The spiritual strength of the santri community with a gusjigang spirit can increase a positive trade ethos. The local content of gusjigang is not yet in the curriculum at the Daarul Huda Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School, Sukoharjo, Central Java. A big challenge for the service team is to start introducing the importance of the gusjigang spirit to students at the Daarul Huda Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School, Sukoharjo, Central Java.

Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to increase understanding about the use of rigid custom foot orthoses in reducing the degree of flatfoot in students with flat feet. Method: counseling/education regarding the effect of using rigid custom foot orthoses in reducing the degree of flat foot for teachers. After being given counseling, the teachers were guided and trained to apply the use of rigid custom foot orthoses in order to increase understanding regarding the need to use custom foot orthoses for flat foot sufferers. Then intervention was carried out in the form of providing custom foot orthoses to students who experienced flat feet. Results: more than 80% of participants understood about one of the musculoskeletal disorders of the foot, namely flat foot, more than 75% of participants were able to understand the effect of using a rigid custom foot orthosis in reducing the degree of flat foot, after follow-up for approximately 1 month several children conveyed comfortable and always using the tool, they said that the arches of his legs were starting to appear. Conclusion: outreach activities and implementation of the use of rigid custom foot orthoses in reducing the degree of flat foot can help the community in dealing with flat feet in children.

Abstract

Based on the period of life, someone entering old age will experience many setbacks. This setback will be faced with various kinds of health problems. These health problems occur because elderly people experience various kinds of functional changes resulting from a decrease in physiological and psychological functions which have an impact on changes in sensory function, neurological, cognitive and musculoskeletal systems. With the neurological changes and musculoskeletal changes that occur in the elderly, this will result in an inability to control balance, resulting in slow movements, increasing the risk of falls, which ultimately disrupts daily activities. This community service activity was carried out through a group approach at the elderly posyandu in Tempuran Village, Bolon, Colomadu Karanganyar using the balance training method with the LSVT BIG method starting from pretest, intervention, posttest. Based on hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test, a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.005) was obtained, which means that LCVY BIG balance training has an effect on improving the balance of elderly people in carrying out daily activities.

Abstract

Children diagnosed with cerebral palsy will have problems walking. Control of one's muscles is impaired by cerebral palsy (CP). A child with cerebral palsy may contract their muscles excessively, very little, or all simultaneously. It's probable that limbs stiffen up and take odd positions. The limbs may tremble, wobble, or hang due to fluctuating contractions of the muscles. Cerebral palsy can also impact posture, balance, and physical coordination. Things like sitting, standing up, and walking will be challenging. Ankle foot orthoses, or AFOs, are a type of therapy that can assist children with cerebral palsy improve their locomotor motor function. Research on the impact of AFO use on these children's walking balance is one way to address this issue.

Abstract

One of the keys to successfully starting a business is the ability to express brilliant ideas or insights that are creative and innovative and have high economic/commercial value into a proper and realistic business plan. One of the efforts that can be carried out to improve student competence is to prepare a business plan through training and mentoring. This community service activity (PKM) is a systematic service activity, namely a team of lecturers from Undaris Kab. Semarang collaborating with Diplomat Success Challenge (DSC). PKM activities are carried out using the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method. The total number of participants was 183 students. The stages carried out in this service are the planning stage, the implementation stage (presentation of material by the speakers, discussions, work practices), and the evaluation stage. The results of the service found that participants were able to take part in interactive activities, some participants were able to compile business plan proposals and submit their proposals via the web at https://www.diplomatsukses.com/; and participants were very satisfied with the activities carried out. Further recommendations are to be carried out more intensively and target participants more broadly in the form of training and mentoring activities.

Abstract

The low quality of university students' scientific article writing and the demand for article writing as a separate point in the accreditation score demands the best solution to overcome this problem. So it is necessary to carry out a service that aims to improve the students' article writing skills through training and mentoring. This community service program is carried out to improve the ability of students of the Faculty of Islamic Education (FAI) Undergraduate Program in Islamic Education at Darul Ulum Islamic Center Sudirman University, Semarang Regency to write and publish scientific articles. The number of participants in this community service program is 25. The form of community service activities is training and mentoring with the following training methods: 1) Lecture method; 2) Question and answer method; and 3) Assignment/Simulation method. The results of this mentoring are that the training participants are enthusiastic about the training material provided. This can be seen from the beginning to the end of the event, all participants followed it well. Based on the evaluation results, it can be identified that the level of understanding of the community service participants is that 84% of the participants understand the skills of writing scientific articles for students.

Abstract

Tax Obligation Assistance in Waluyojati Village, Ambarawa District to improve tax knowledge of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Waluyojati Village, Ambarawa District better and have an impact on the level of taxpayer compliance. It is also expected that by increasing participants' understanding of the risks of tax audits, they will be able to reduce tax costs from tax fines for Macro, Small and Medium Enterprises. On the other hand, community service activities to assist the government in increasing tax revenues because more and more Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are aware of their tax rights and obligations. The benefits of community service activities are focused on increasing the understanding of MSMEs, especially regarding how to calculate income tax payable, deposit income tax payable, and report income tax from their businesses. Also increase understanding of the risks of tax audits that may occur from every transaction in the MSME business, such as a good trading business. In this community service, a method with several stages is used, namely the observation, introduction, training and evaluation stages. The delivery of the material is presented with an overview of the basic material, the benefits of tax reporting for participants, and regarding the Matching of NIK and NPWP, at this stage the lack of knowledge about taxation among participants so that, after the socialization activity took place, public knowledge became higher and made it easier for the government to raise awareness of taxpayers. The discussion method, it was carried out with two-way communication and a question and answer session regarding the analysis of the material that had been delivered in the first stage and helped participants with the limited understanding of filling out the DJP online website which was assumed to be complicated for the community and provided an understanding of the validity for married women who are burdened independently because they live separately to continue to register for taxes. It is expected that the implementation of community service activities can increase participants' understanding of the risks of tax audits, they will be able to reduce tax costs from tax fines for Macro, Small and Medium Enterprises. On the other hand, community service activities to assist the government in increasing tax revenues because more and more Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are aware of their tax rights and obligations
