Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the spatial distribution of the banking system, internal migration patterns, domestic remittance flows, and the level of financial inclusion in Indonesia. Spatial inequality in access to formal financial institutions remains a fundamental problem for inclusive economic development. Based on World Bank data (2024), the number of commercial bank branches in Indonesia is only around 11.69 units per 100,000 adults, indicating the limited reach of banking services in non-urban areas (World Bank, 2024). Meanwhile, the level of account ownership in Indonesia has increased to 83% in 2023, a significant increase compared to 48% in 2011 (World Economic Forum, 2025). In the external context, Bank Indonesia (2024) reported that the value of remittances from Indonesian migrant workers reached US$ 9.95 billion in 2023, a 3.6% increase from the previous year. These remittance flows have great potential to expand the savings base, strengthen monetary stability, and support the expansion of financial inclusion (Canales et al., 2023; Inoue & Hamori, 2016). However, this potential has not been fully realized due to spatial disparities and financial literacy gaps between urban and rural areas. The methodology used is multilevel logistic regression with microdata from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS, 2021) and macrodata from Bank Indonesia (2023), the Financial Services Authority (2024), and the Central Statistics Agency (2024). This model allows for testing hierarchical and spatial relationships between individual, household, and provincial levels. The main variables include financial inclusion (formal account ownership), internal migration status, remittance receipts, and bank branch density per km² as a proxy for geospatial access to the banking system. The results of the study show that spatial access to the banking system has a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion (Beck, Demirgüç-Kunt, & Levine, 2023). Additionally, internal migration and remittance receipts also strengthen the probability of individuals using formal financial services, indicating the existence of spatial interactions (spillover) between regions. Provinces with higher bank network density tend to transmit positive effects on financial inclusion in surrounding provinces (Krugman, 1991). These findings emphasize the importance of a geospatial approach in formulating national financial inclusion policies. Equal distribution of banking networks, strengthening financial literacy for migrants and remittance recipients, and integrating spatial data between financial institutions are key strategies for promoting more inclusive and equitable economic growth between regions.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze the influence of workload and work-family conflict on job stress, with family social support as a moderating variable. This study was conducted on employees at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) TBK Palembang Regional Office with a sample size of 150 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a 1-5 Likert Scale. Data analysis used the quantitative SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square) method with Smart-PLS software. The results showed that workload has a significant positive effect on job stress. Work-family conflict significantly affects job stress. Family social support has a significant negative effect on job stress. Family social support is proven to moderate the relationship between workload, work-family conflict, and job stress.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a benchmark for the success of quality of life development. This study analyzes the influence of the Village Fund (Dana Desa), Family Hope Program (PKH), and Cash Transfers (BLT) on HDI in Pamekasan Regency from 2014 to 2023. Using multiple linear regression, the results indicate that the Village Fund significantly contributes to HDI growth through infrastructure and basic health improvements. PKH and BLT provide social safety nets that stabilize community welfare, although their statistical significance varies. This research provides a comprehensive overview of how local and central government spending coordinates to improve human development indicators at the regency level.

Abstract

This study investigates the determinants of the open unemployment rate in Malang City, where unemployment remains a major challenge despite ongoing regional economic development. The study aims to analyze the effects of economic growth, education level, labor force participation rate, and minimum wage on the open unemployment rate during the 2008–2024 period. Using a quantitative approach, this research applies multiple linear regression analysis based on secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and related institutions. Hypothesis testing was conducted through the t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The findings reveal that economic growth and minimum wage have a negative and significant effect on the open unemployment rate, indicating that higher economic growth and appropriate wage policies contribute to reducing unemployment in Malang City. In contrast, education level and labor force participation rate do not show a significant effect on unemployment. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence the open unemployment rate. These findings imply that policies promoting sustainable economic growth and effective minimum wage regulations can serve as important instruments in reducing unemployment and supporting regional economic development in Malang City.

Abstract

Background: The proliferation of social media platforms has created an environment in which branded content and genuine personal expression increasingly coexist within the same communicative space, generating conditions of systematic authenticity ambiguity that threaten consumer trust formation. Objective: This study introduces and theorizes blurred authenticity as a structural condition of social media marketing and examines the mechanisms through which it affects consumer trust, with the aim of advancing an integrated conceptual framework applicable to influencer marketing practice. Method: A conceptual narrative literature review synthesizing five anchor studies was complemented by an exploratory qualitative inquiry involving seventeen purposively selected informants from University of Cahaya Surya, encompassing students, lecturers, content creators, and public relations practitioners. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis following Braun and Clarke's six-phase framework. Results: Findings identify narrative-niche consistency as the dominant authenticity heuristic among consumers, cited by 82.4% of informants. Three trust maintenance mechanisms were empirically validated: perceived transparency, narrative coherence, and value alignment. Transparent commercial disclosure enhances trust only when accompanied by substantively candid content. Perceived value misalignment between creators and endorsed brands generates durable trust erosion extending beyond the immediate interaction. Conclusion: Blurred authenticity is a systemic rather than individual phenomenon requiring structural responses from brands, creators, and platforms. Brands that prioritize narrative fit in influencer selection and support genuine communicative candor in branded content are best positioned to sustain consumer trust in increasingly saturated digital markets. Future research should pursue longitudinal, experimental, and cross-cultural designs to validate and extend the conceptual model advanced here.
