Abstract

This study aims to "analyze the effect of Human Development Index and Gini Ratio on poverty rate". The sample of this study is 27 districts/cities in West Java with data for 10 years (2015-2024). The analysis method of this study is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that "the Human Development Index and Gini Ratio had a significant effect on the poverty rate". This research provides a perspective that measuring the IPM and Gini Ratio can provide a new perspective in determining policies for the community. As a practical contribution, the government can optimize policies to improve people's welfare, such as enhancing the quality of education, healthcare, and income distribution. This can reduce social and economic problems and periodically increase human development so that the growth of the poverty rate can be reduced.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze parental responsibility towards children in the Society 5.0 era from the perspective of Islamic family law in Indonesia, as well as to identify relevant parenting patterns and challenges faced in Jakarta. The Society 5.0 era presents new challenges for Muslim families, especially related to digital interactions, the influence of technology on children's morals, and Sharia responsibilities that must still be carried out by parents. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with documentation techniques and interviews with several informants (parents, religious educators, and Islamic family law experts). The results of the study show that: a) Parental responsibility based on maqāṣid sharia now extends to the digital realm, including maintaining the honor and security of children's data. b) Parenting patterns such as smart-parenting, techno-modeling, and digital family contracts can strengthen children's spiritual and moral interactions in cyberspace. c) The main obstacles include time constraints, digital literacy gaps, children's dependence on gadgets, and minimal systemic support. d) The solutions offered include Islamic parenting training, selection of sharia applications, weekly reflections with children, and strengthening communities based on Islamic values.

Abstract

Company value is the main indicator in assessing the success of a company, which is measured by its stock price. The higher the company value, the greater the welfare of shareholders and the attractiveness to investors. This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic Social Reporting (ISR), cashless society, and company size on company value in Islamic banks in ASEAN for the period 2017-2023. This study uses a quantitative method with secondary data obtained from the annual reports of Islamic banks. The research sample consisted of 12 Islamic banks operating in ASEAN consisting of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam which were selected using the purposive sampling method for 7 years, so that the total observation was 84 samples. The data analysis technique used was panel data regression with the help of Eviews 10 software. The results of the study showed that partially, Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) had a significant effect on company value. Cashless society did not have a significant effect on company value and company size did not have a significant effect on company value. Simultaneously, Islamic Social Reporting (ISR), cashless society, and company size had a significant effect on company value. In Islamic economics, the value of a company is not only measured in terms of material, but also seen from the application of sharia principles such as justice, transparency and social responsibility. The limitations of this study lie in the limited sample coverage and the use of secondary data that relies on the availability of information in the company's annual report.

Abstract

Football has developed into a global industry that demands professional financial management. Bali United FC became the first football club in Indonesia to be listed on the stock exchange through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2019. This study examines the trends and differences in the financial performance of Bali United from 2019 to 2023, focusing on profitability, liquidity, activity, and solvency ratios. The methods used are trend analysis, the Kruskal-Wallis test, and one-way repeated Measures ANOVA. The results show that Bali United's financial performance fluctuated due to business expansion and external factors, with improvements in 2021–2022 followed by a decline in 2023. Significant differences were found among several financial ratio indicators, but no significant differences were observed across the years as a whole. These findings serve as a valuable evaluation tool for the club in managing its finances after going public.

Abstract

Employee productivity is one of the most crucial indicators of organisational performance in the modern era, including in the port sector, which is full of challenges and operational complexity. Islamic values such as ihsan (spiritual professionalism), honesty, and trustworthiness have an important role in shaping a strong work ethic. This study aims to analyse the effect of the application of Islamic values on work ethic and employee productivity, and to examine the mediating role of work ethic. This research uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design and a causal-comparative research type. The sampling technique is total sampling, namely all 34 employees of Pelindo Regional 3 were used as samples. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using a Structural Equation Modeling approach based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The results showed that Islamic values have a significant effect on employee work ethic (p-value 0.000, t-statistic 6.421), and have a significant effect on work productivity both directly (p-value 0.043, t-statistic 2.028) and indirectly through the mediation of work ethic (p-value 0.000, t-statistic 3.431). Work ethic has a significant effect on productivity (p-value 0.015, t-statistic 2.503). The R-Square value for the work ethic is 0.389, and for work productivity is 0.404 (fairly strong model contribution). These findings suggest that the integration of Islamic values can be an important foundation in improving the quality of human resources. Organisations need to embed spiritual values in the work culture through training, coaching, and the leader's example.

Abstract

This study explores the financial performance of PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk (SILO) from 2022 to 2024 and compares it with three other publicly listed private hospital operators in Indonesia: PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA), PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (HEAL), and PT Bundamedik Healthcare System Tbk (BMHS). Employing a longitudinal descriptive approach, the analysis integrates financial ratios (liquidity, solvency, profitability, and asset efficiency), trend evaluations, common size assessments, and growth indices. Findings reveal that while SILO maintains a healthy capital structure and adequate liquidity, it continues to lag behind MIKA and HEAL in terms of profitability and asset utilization. Despite moderate growth in return ratios, SILO’s narrow operating margins and declining asset turnover suggest underutilization of hospital infrastructure and high operating costs. The study underscores the need for operational efficiency, enhanced service monetization, and strategic capital deployment to boost SILO’s competitiveness in the premium healthcare segment. This research contributes to the financial management literature in healthcare and offers practical recommendations for hospital executives, investors, and regulators seeking to strengthen financial sustainability in the private hospital sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the fraud hexagon elements on the potential for fraud in village fund management with religiosity as a moderating variable. A sample of 200 village officials in Trenggalek Regency was analyzed using PLS-SEM through SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that the effectiveness of the internal control system and apparatus competence had a significant positive effect, while organizational culture and political connections had a significant negative effect. Compensation suitability and apparatus morality did not have a significant effect. Religiosity only moderated the relationship between the effectiveness of the internal control system and fraud, but did not moderate the relationship between compensation suitability, organizational culture, apparatus competence, apparatus morality, and political connections.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and job stress on job satisfaction among entry-level employees in start-up companies. This phenomenon is particularly relevant given the dynamic nature of start-up work environments and the dominance of Generation Z in the workforce structure. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 271 respondents working in the start-up sector and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The results indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while job stress has a significant negative effect. Simultaneously, both variables contribute significantly to job satisfaction, with an R² value of 0.925. These findings highlight that creating a work environment that fosters motivation while minimizing stress is essential to enhancing job satisfaction, particularly among Generation Z employees. This study provides theoretical implications for the development of human resource management research and practical recommendations for managing employees in competitive and adaptive start-up work environments.
