Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is prone to natural disasters caused by Indonesia's position at the meeting point of three active world plates, namely Indo-Australian, Eurasian and Pacific. Therefore, it is important to make efforts to reduce disaster risk or disaster preparedness, one of which is for students. This community service activity aims to increase disaster literacy among disaster management students, especially during the emergency response period, through a scientific visit to the Human Initiative Headquarters Depok. The hope is that students will become an intelligent part of society who will later disseminate information related to disaster literacy, especially during the disaster emergency response period. This activity is carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. Analysis of students who attended and participated in these activities were able to receive and digest the material from the socialization provided and then there was an increase in student disaster literacy, especially during the emergency response period.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide education about the urgency of bookkeeping in business for prospective young entrepreneurs at MAN Lumajang. This community service activity is carried out using three methods, namely direct observation, implementation of activities, and evaluation of activities. This community service activity was carried out with good results in that students at MAN Lumajang were able to receive and digest an understanding of the science of bookkeeping in business for prospective young entrepreneurs. This is because bookkeeping is important for a business and is part of accounting records in order to build a new business and become a young entrepreneur in the future.

Abstract

Desa Kemuningsari Lor memiliki aset non-fisik berupa keterampilan warganya dalam membuat kerajinan anyaman bambu. Namun pemasaran produk kerajinan yang telah dilakukan hanya melalui penjualan berkeliling. Hal ini membuat para pengrajin anyaman bambu memperoleh pendapatan yang tidak banyak. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) dengan lima tahap: Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, dan Destiny. Tahap Discovery dilakukan dengan menelusuri asset yang dimiliki masyarakat desa yaitu kerajinan anyaman bambu. Pada tahap Dream, diketahui bahwa tujuan Masyarakat adalah meningkatkan penjualan produk kerajinan anyaman bambu untuk meningkatkan taraf ekonomi para pengrajinnya. Pada tahap Design dilakukan perencanaan dan pemilihan strategi untuk meningkatkan penjualan produk kerajinan anyaman bambu. Pada tahap Define, dilakukan bazar dan penjualan produk melalui e-commerce. Terakhir, diketahui bahwa penjualan produk mengalami peningkatan (Tahap Destiny).

Abstract

This service and research aims to identify and raise community awareness about the importance of mental health now and in the future. In addition, it aims to find out the extent of community knowledge about counseling. The program carried out in this service is a counseling corner that is attractively designed to give a curious effect to the public to visit the free counseling stand conducted at Alun-alun kidul Yogyakarta for 2 weeks by involving counselors, hypnotherapists and students of counseling guidance and psychology study programs in the city of Yogyakarta. This program is aimed at all groups of parents, children, teenagers, and various professions who are in that location. This program has good results in terms of community interest, from 2 weeks of the counseling corner program, it was found that new parents or young mothers have an interest in the correct parenting for children according to their developmental age and students who have personal problems. Another fact is that not all parents know the meaning and importance of counseling and mental health until the service team provides free education and counseling.

Abstract

Having fun counseling is a community service activity resulting from collaboration between lecturers, students and the community located in Gunung Ireng tourism, Pathuk District, Gunung Kidul. The purpose of having fun counseling is to create a fun climate for the community and students, to develop social and emotional skills, and build good social relationships as an effort to strengthen bonding relationships across all elements. Having fun counseling is carried out with four stages, namely observation, problem formulation, activity implementation, and outuput. The methods used in carrying out having fun counseling are consultation and mediation methods. Based on the results of the output analysis, it is stated that this activity has a positive impact on the community.

Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki efektivitas keterlibatan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan bencana, berfokus pada program pelatihan keselamatan yang dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Petukangan Utara 10. Dengan meningkatnya frekuensi dan keparahan bencana alam, terutama di daerah padat penduduk seperti Jakarta Selatan, menjadi penting untuk membekali masyarakat dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk memitigasi risiko dan merespons secara efektif terhadap darurat. Melalui analisis komprehensif terhadap program pelatihan keselamatan, termasuk tujuannya, metodologinya, dan hasilnya, studi ini memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang pentingnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam inisiatif kesiapsiagaan bencana. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya upaya berkelanjutan dan kolaborasi multi-pihak dalam membangun masyarakat yang tangguh mampu menghadapi berbagai ancaman.

Abstract

Supiori Regency is one of the areas in Papua Province which is included in the frontier, remote, and underdeveloped region in the Pacific Ocean, which is quite vulnerable to experiencing a series of natural events that have the potential to become a disaster for the local population. The disaster threat index in Supiori Regency includes tsunamis, earthquakes and extreme waves and abrasion (GEA). A total of approximately 20 settlements in Syurdori Village (part of the East Supiori District) were affected by a tsunami with a tsunami height of 7 meters that occurred in 1996 which resulted in several houses being damaged by tsunami waves. The purpose of this article is to examine the process and benefits of establishing a disaster resilient village (Kamtana), the process of increasing community preparedness and the process of creating a participatory evacuation route map in Syurdori Village, East Supiori District, Supiori Regency, Papua Province. The research method used was qualitative, with primary data collection techniques in the form of focus group discussions (FGDs). The sampling technique used in selecting the research location used a purposive sampling method based on the condition of the vulnerability of Syurdori Village to various disasters, especially floods, extreme waves and abrasion, earthquakes and tsunamis. The results of this study are the implementation process of establishing a Disaster Resilient Village, increasing community preparedness and conducting a participatory mapping process related to determining evacuation routes in Syurdori Village, Papua Province.

Abstract

Kebutuhan asupan gizi yang baik sangat dibutuhkan pada  awal masa  kehidupannya. Pada usia lima tahun pertama kehidupan sangat berperan dalam perkembangan fisik dan perkembangan otak paling pesat sehingga asupan gizi yang baik sangat penting pada usia ini. Usia Balita merupakan kelompok umur yang paling sering mengalami kekuragan gizi. Kekurangan gizi pada Balita dapat memberikan dampak buruk  yang  tidak  bisa  dihindari,  dimana manifestasi terburuk dapat menyebabkan kematian. Tujuan kegiatan ini agar dapat memberikan pengetahuan tentang gizi pada Balita sehingga masyarakat dapat termotivasinya dalam meningkatkan Gizi Pada Balita. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan ini didapatkan bahwa warga yang hadir dalam acara penyuluhan mengerti dan memahami tentang gizi pada Balita, mengelola makanan dan jenis makanan yang mengandung untuk gizi pada Balita. Evaluasi dan dampak kegiatan ini adalah Ibu yang mempunyai balita di wilayah PMB Siti Rahayu, S.Tr.Keb (±30 orang), proses dilakukan dengan melihat tanggapan peserta melalui pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diajukan ataupun umpan balik yang diberikan dalam diskusi.

Abstract

Elderly people generally experience various degenerative diseases due to decreased biological, psychological, social and economic functions. A decrease in these various functions will have an impact on aspects, especially health. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve the health of the elderly through the use of posyandu in Sarigono Hamlet, Pagerharjo Village. This activity provides benefits to the elderly in Sarigono Hamlet, Pagerharjo Village, namely as a preventive means of checking disease and health in the elderly.

Abstract

Sumbermujur is one of the areas affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru in 2021. One of the impacts was the damage to several facilities, including the buildings of SMPN 5 Candipuro. Therefore, community service needs to be carried out through disaster awareness and simulation activities at the school. The purpose of these activities is to provide an overview of the disaster threats in Sumbermujur and specifically at SMPN 5 Candipuro, and to enhance the understanding and awareness of disaster risks among the school community. The method used in the implementation of the service is the service learning (SL) approach through socialization and participatory action research (PAR) through simulation. The results of the service include the identification of potential disaster threats in Sumbermujur, which has potential threats of extreme weather, earthquakes, forest and land fires, drought, volcanic eruptions, and landslides. SMPN 5 Candipuro, as the location for community service, has 4 potential disaster threats. Efforts to increase the capacity of the school community are carried out through socialization and simulation. The socialization and simulation activities aim to increase the understanding and awareness of the school community about potential disaster threats and to improve preparedness in facing disasters. The evaluation of the activities recommends the creation of evacuation routes as a basic means of evacuation during disasters. The community service activities have provided understanding and increased awareness among the school community of the disaster threats in the surrounding environment.
