Abstract

Girijaya Village, Saketi District, Pandeglang Regency, where most of the roads are still uneven ground with valleys and hills next to the road covered with large trees and no street lighting, this makes people reluctant to carry out activities until evening. This prompted the community service team from Budi Luhur University to build lighting on the road. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) where the community is actively involved in identifying and solving. The aim of community service is to improve community conditions through active participation from the community independently. Apart from that, the community is invited to improve its ability to solve its problems. A number of lighting lights were successfully implemented at previously mapped points. Road conditions are now clear and people are not worried about going home until late in the evening. Supervision and maintenance as well as development of public street lighting must be maintained and improved. It requires an active role from the community and can be used as further community service to completely resolve the lighting problem on the public roads in Girijaya Village.

Abstract

Salmontei & Station Coffee restaurant is a restaurant with an old Japanese theme which aims to create a comfortable place to eat and rest for visitors. This restaurant is located on Jl. K.H. Syafi'i Hadzami 8B, North Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. Currently, Salmontei Restaurant & Station Coffee is committed to developing its business and also providing the best service for all customers. However, this restaurant has various problems faced, including: a lack of understanding of professional etiquette in serving restaurant customers. For this reason, this training is aimed at: increasing self-confidence and ability to manage service quality for all Salmontei Restaurant & Station Coffee employees. This PKM activity will be carried out face to face on Monday, November 28 2022, at the Salmontei & Station Coffee restaurant starting at 09.00-11.00 WIB. This PKM activity is carried out using 3 methods including: lectures to deliver the material; discussion, role play, and giving questionnaires. The results of this activity show that the participants can increase their understanding and mastery of professional etiquette which will also increase their understanding of their abilities in serving guests at the Salmontei & Station Coffee restaurant.

Abstract

Subang Regency, which is located in West Java Province, is an area that is vulnerable to various natural disaster threats, such as floods, landslides and earthquakes. Dynamic geographical and climatic conditions place Subang Regency in a position that is vulnerable to disaster events. This community service activity aims to increase understanding of disaster threats in Saka SAR, Subang Regency through disaster mitigation education. Community service activities have been carried out well without significant obstacles and there is a conclusion that this community service activity has been carried out communicatively, as can be seen from the enthusiastic participants in the question and answer process, responding when asked questions and listening to explanations of the questions asked. given. With this training, it is hoped that the understanding of disaster threats in Saka SAR, Subang Regency, will increase through disaster mitigation education.

Abstract

The need for fast and accurate financial information is increasing along with the increasingly complex and fast business processes in the world. Therefore, workers, especially in the accounting sector who are tasked with providing financial information, are required to be able to utilize technology to support the company's financial recording and reporting process. Triguna 1965 Vocational School as a secondary education institution which aims to prepare its students as professionals needs to get support to be able to fulfill this goal. The aim of this community service activity is to help improve the competency of Triguna 1956 Vocational School students in developing automated accounting applications based on Microsoft Excel. By increasing students' competency in using Microsoft Excel, especially in developing accounting applications or other financial applications, this will really train their logical thinking and the level of efficiency and effectiveness in their work later.

Abstract

Writing citations is very crucial in a scientific work because writing techniques and citations describe the quality of the scientific work we create. Therefore, it is important to introduce the citation application to students in the Disaster Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Budi Luhur University. The aim of this community service activity is to introduce the use of the Mendeley application to students and provide motivation to write quality scientific papers with correct citations. Increasing students' ability to cite scientific papers will increase students' ability to complete their final assignments later.

Abstract

Improving the nutritional status of the community is an effort to reduce the prevalence of stunting in children under five years old, which is one of the priorities in the main targets of the 2020-2024 Medium-Term Development Plan. The utilization of local food is expected to be able to make the community independent in preventing stunting and not always depend on the government. There are many processed food products that can be used as additional food for additional child nutrition, one of which is pudding. Raw materials for making additional food can utilize vegetables and fruits. In this program we made pudding from spinach and pumpkin. Pumpkin has a fairly complete nutritional content such as protein, fiber, carbohydrates, Vitamin A, B and C. While spinach has many excellent benefits because it is a source of calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, fiber, beta-carotene, and has a very high iron content. This community service activity has been carried out starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. From the results of this activity it can be concluded that the knowledge of the participants of this activity has increased about them about stunting in children and the importance of consuming blood supplement tablets.

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah Low Densitas Lipoprotein (LDL), trigliserida, dan High Densitas Lipoprotein (HDL) yang cenderung mengalami penurunan dikenal sebagai kolesterol tinggi atau hiperkolesteromia. Pengobatan kolesterol secara umumnya dilakukan melalui terapi secara kimiawi yang telah memiliki aktivitas farmakologi sebagai penurun kolesterol yaitu simfastatin. Efek samping dari pengobatan secara kimiawi adalah terjadinya infalamasi pada lambung, kerusakan hati, ginjal, dan resistensi semakin meningkat. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam meminimalisir pengobatan kolesterol secara kimiawi yaitu dengan pemanfaatan kombucha bunga telang sebagai minuman probiotik yang telah terbukti dapat diperankan sebagai substansi pangan fungsional, obat, dan kosmetik, sehingga ketaatan dalam mengkonsumsi kombucha bunga merupakan salah satu indikator keberhasilan dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level kepatuhan masyarakat dalam mengkonsumsi kombucha bunga telang dalam upaya menurunkan kolesterol.  Metode pengabdian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif dan teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Hasil pengabdian ini telah membuktikan bahwa ketaatan masyarakat dalam level tinggi mencapai 24,40%, sedang 68,30%, rendah 7,33 % sehingga dapat disimpulkan masyarakat yang memiliki kolesterol tinggi dikampung pekuncen desa ciwedus kota cilegon provinsi banten mempunyai tingkat ketaatan yang sedang dengan prosentase sebesar 68,30%.

Abstract

The improper use of antibiotics is a major cause of antimicrobial resistance, a serious global health issue. Resistance occurs when bacteria become immune to drugs, making infections harder to treat. One of the main causes is a lack of public understanding regarding how to obtain, use, store, and dispose of antibiotics properly. Outpatients are particularly at risk as they often manage antibiotics independently at home, such as obtaining them without a prescription, stopping treatment prematurely, or saving leftover medication for future use without consulting a doctor. This educational session aimed to inform outpatients on proper antibiotic management to reduce resistance. Activities were conducted through interactive presentations and discussions at Pandega Hospital's outpatient department in Pangandaran. The results showed positive responses and enthusiasm from participants, who actively asked questions and engaged in discussions. Patients gained a clear understanding of the DAGUSIBU Antibiotics concept, including obtaining antibiotics with a prescription, using them as directed, storing them safely, and disposing of unused medication responsibly. This session successfully improved patients’ knowledge and awareness about proper antibiotic management, representing an essential step in preventing antimicrobial resistance. Its success can serve as a model for similar programs in other areas, supporting safer and more responsible antibiotic use.

Abstract

Sungai  Cisadane,  sebagai  salah  satu  sungai  utama  di  Provinsi  Banten,  menghadapi  tantangan  serius terkait pencemaran sampah yang mengancam ekosistem dan kesehatan masyarakat sekitarnya. Dalam upaya  mengatasi  masalah  ini,  program  penyuluhan  masyarakat  tentang  penanganan  sampah  berbasis teknologi  kecerdasan  buatan  (AI)  telah  dilaksanakan.  Tujuan  dari  kegiatan  ini  adalah  untuk meningkatkan  kesadaran  dan  keterampilan  masyarakat  dalam  memanfaatkan  teknologi  AI  untuk mendeteksi  dan  mengelola  sampah  secara  efektif.  Metode  pelaksanaan  kegiatan  ini  adalah  melalui demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi AI yang dirancang khusus untuk mendeteksi sampah di  sungai. Hasil kegiatan  menunjukkan  peningkatan  pemahaman  masyarakat  tentang  teknologi  AI  dan  penerapannya dalam pengelolaan sampah. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui survei pre dan post-aktivitas yang menunjukkan peningkatan  signifikan  dalam  pengetahuan  dan  sikap  masyarakat  terhadap  pengelolaan  sampah. Dampak  dari  kegiatan  ini  diharapkan  dapat  menciptakan  lingkungan  yang  lebih  bersih  dan  sehat  serta mendorong  partisipasi  aktif  masyarakat  dalam  menjaga  kebersihan  sungai.  Program  ini  juga  membuka peluang  kolaborasi  lebih  lanjut  antara  masyarakat,  pemerintah,  dan  akademisi  dalam  pengembangan solusi berkelanjutan untuk masalah lingkungan.

Abstract

Sistem pembelajaran termasuk didalamnya adalah asesmen untuk Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) perlu disesuaikan dengan karkteristik Generasi Z yang sangat bergantung pada teknologi dan internet. Asesmen dalam bentuk kuis interaktif berbasis gamifikasi menjadi hal penting agar siswa merasa tertantang berada dalam lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan melatih guru SMA untuk membuat kuis interaktif berbasis gamifikasi menggunakan platform Kahoot! dan Quizizz. Tujuan tersebut dicapai melalui tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan menggunakan metode ceramah dan praktik. Keberhasilan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini diukur dari umpan balik yang diberikan peserta melalui kuesioner dan diolah menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis deskriptif terhadap 12 pernyataan berada pada rentang 4 dan 5. Berdasar hal tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan pembuatan kuis interaktif berbasis gamifikasi menggunakan Kahoot! dan Quizizz telah terlaksana dengan baik bahkan cenderung sangat baik. Untuk kegiatan yang akan datang disarankan penyusunan modul pelatihan, kemampuan memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan peserta saat praktik, dan respon narasumber terhadap pertanyaan peserta dapat lebih ditingkatkan.
