Abstract

This study determine disclosure level of Corporate Social Responsibility among Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia based on Islamic Social Reporting Index and Sharia Enterprise Theory approaches, and comparison disclosure level of Corporate Social Responsibility among Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. In this study, CSR disclosure based on the Islamic Social Responsibility Index uses 80 sub-themes with 6 themes, such as theme of funding and investment, theme of products and services, theme of labor, theme of society and theme of organizational governance while Sharia Enterprise Theory uses 21 sub-themes with 5 themes, such as accountability to Allah SWT, accountability to customers, accountability to employees, accountability to community, and accountability to nature. The sample in this study amounted to 14 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia in 2017 and 2018 reporting periods. Data was analyzed using content analysis and independent t-test. Results of this study indicate that (1) the level of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure among Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia based on the Islamic Social Reporting Index has an average 72.5% (informative), and the level of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure among Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia based on Sharia Enterprise Theory has an average 70% (informative). (2) The level of disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia based on the Islamic Social Reporting Index and Sharia Enterprise Theory shows no significant difference at 5% significance level.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of ZISWAF Fund Revenue, Gross NPF, and Mudharabah Income on BOPO with Firm Size as a Moderating Variable. The samples used in this study are companies in the financial sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2018Q1-2023Q3. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a total sample of 115 from 5 (five) Islamic banks. The data analysis technique used is Panel Data Regression Analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the Eviews 12 application. The results showed that the receipt of ziswaf funds had a significant negative effect on BOPO in the financial sector for the 2018Q1-2023Q3 period. Gross NPF has a positive effect on BOPO in the financial sector for the period 2018Q1-2023Q3. Mudharabah income has a significant negative effect on BOPO in the financial sector for the period 2018Q1-2023Q3. Firm size is not able to moderate the effect of ziswaf fund revenue on BOPO in the financial sector for the period 2018Q1-2023Q3. Firm size is unable to moderate the effect of Gross NPF on BOPO in the financial sector for the period 2018Q1-2023Q3. Firm size is able to moderate the effect of mudharabah income on BOPO in the financial sector for the period 2018Q1-2023Q3.

Abstract

The primary focus of this study is to examine how service quality, trust, and electronic word of mouth impact customer satisfaction. Additionally, customer loyalty is considered as a moderating factor influencing the relationship between these variables. This research employs a quantitative approach utilizing a Likert scale for measurement. The survey involved 100 respondents. Methodologically, the study includes classical assumption testing, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and moderated regression analysis (MRA) using SPSS version 25. The findings indicate a significant positive impact of service quality, trust, and electronic word of mouth on customer satisfaction. Moreover, customer loyalty effectively moderates these relationships, further enhancing customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine and analyze the influence of the halal industrial sector on economic growth in the long term and short term in OIC member countries. This research uses a quantitative approach, and the method used is the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) to determine the long-term and short-term effects between variables. The data source for this research is secondary data, panel data from 2014 to 2023 obtained from DinarStandard and the World Bank. Data processing tools use the E Views-10 statistical application. The findings of this research show that in the long term Halal Fashion and Islamic Entertainment Media have a significant positive effect on economic growth, with t-statistics of 8.308 and 6.372. Halal Food, Cosmetics and Halal Medicines have a significant negative effect on economic growth, with t-statistics of -4.012 and -3.829. Then, Islamic Finance and Halal Tourism do not have a significant effect on economic growth, with t-statistics of 0.893 and -0.910. Then, in the short term Islamic Finance has a significant positive effect on economic growth, with a t-Statistic of 3.058. Meanwhile, Halal Food, Halal Tourism, Halal Fashion, Islamic Media and Entertainment, Halal Cosmetics and Medicines do not have a significant effect on economic growth, with t-statistics of 0.506, 1.865, 0.256, -1.319 and -1.111. In this research, data analysis uses the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method so that the research results obtained are broader, namely in the long term and short term. This research uses more panel data than several previous studies.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the similarities and differences in the application of KUR in the context of sharia economic law in the two financial institutions and make a meaningful contribution to the development of sharia financial practices in Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a comparative study method to understand and compare the implementation of Kredit Usaha Rakyat at Pegadaian Syariah and Bank BSI based on the principles of sharia economic law. Pegadaian Syariah distributes KUR through four stages with a Rahn Tasjily contract, while Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) follows six stages with a Murabahah Bil Wakalah contract. Pegadaian Syariah focuses on productive sharia businesses of at least 6 months, offering installments of 6-24 months, and verification of 3-4 weeks, while BSI prioritizes the service, production, and agriculture sectors, with maximum installments of 36-48 months, and requires collateral for ceilings above IDR 100,000,000. This research uses a sharia economic law approach to analyze the implementation of KUR in Pegadaian Syariah and Bank BSI, highlighting compliance with Islamic law. Through a comparative study between the two institutions, this research provides specific insights into variations in the implementation of KUR in a sharia context that have not been widely discussed in the literature.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) The influence of knowledge of the Muslim community on Sharia Banks on interest after the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia. (2) The influence of the understanding of the Muslim community on Sharia Banks on interest after the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia. (3) The influence of knowledge and understanding of the Muslim community on Sharia Banks simultaneously on interest after the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative. The population is the Muslim community of East Pontianak District. Sampling used probability sampling techniques with simple random sampling using the Slovin formula. The data collection method used a questionnaire using Google Form which was distributed to 100 samples of the East Pontianak Muslim community. Data were processed using SPSS 21. Data analysis used multiple linear regression. The results of this research show that: (1) The Muslim community's knowledge of Sharia Banks has a positive effect on interest in using Sharia Banks after the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia. (2) The Muslim community's understanding of Sharia Banks has a positive effect on interest in using Sharia Banks after the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia. (3) The Muslim community's knowledge and understanding of Sharia Banks simultaneously has a positive influence on interest in using Sharia Banks after the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of technology and social media on the interest of generation Z, as well as the influence of the use of technology and social media simultaneously or together on the interest of generation Z in Bank Muamalat KCP Sumber. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The data sources used include primary and secondary data. The population in this study is generation Z who are customers of Bank Muamalat KCP Sumber from 2017 to 2023 with a total of 7,500 customers. The number of samples taken was 100 respondents, which was determined using the Slovin formula, with purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This study used the Likert scale for measurement, and the data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistic 29 application. The results show that the use of technology has a positive and significant influence on the interest of Generation Z in Bank Muamalat KCP Sumber, with a calculated t-value (3.624) greater than the t-table (1.66071) and a significance level of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. Social media also has a positive and significant influence on the interest of Generation Z in Bank Muamalat KCP Sumber, with a tcount value (6.746) greater than the t-table (1.66071) and a significance level of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. Together, the use of technology and social media has a significant effect on the interest of Generation Z with a contribution of 71.4%, while the remaining 28.6% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Design/methodology/approch: The research paradigm used in this research is the interpretive paradigm, with the type of qualitative research. This research study uses Phenomenology This research will explore and understand the optimization of digital banking in an effort to minimize the occurrence of information risks which are further described and narrated. Research Findings: The results of the Optimization Research from BPRS MAU Syariah and BPRS Bandar Lampung, must continue to be improved in understanding and awareness of the importance of bank digitalization, which greatly affects the impact of trust for customers and banks. So that financial stability at BPRS is more increased and the quality of service can have an impact on product loyalty as a sense of satisfaction, a willingness to pay more and an unwillingness to move to another product. The use of information technology whose operations experience risks is due to; (i) weak governance of BPRS technology in the use of digital technology, (ii) the complexity of information technology assets that are not controlled by the needs of systems and human resources where these needs must still be improved so that the value of needs inherent in financial stability can have an impact on customer satisfaction. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital financial literacy and digital transaction risk on the interest of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in transacting using QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). QRIS is one of the digital payment tools that is increasingly popular in Indonesia because of its convenience. However, the adoption of this technology still faces various challenges, such as low digital financial literacy and concerns about the risks of digital transactions. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method for MSME actors in the Perumnas Market, Cirebon City. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the relationship between digital financial literacy, digital transaction risk perception, and interest in using QRIS. The results of the study show that digital financial literacy has a positive and insignificant effect on MSMEs' interest in using QRIS. The higher the digital financial literacy, the greater the interest of MSME actors in using QRIS. On the other hand, the risk of digital transactions has a positive and significant influence on interest in using QRIS. MSME actors who feel that the risk of digital transactions is high tend to be reluctant to use QRIS. The implications of this study are the importance of increasing digital financial literacy for MSME actors and the need for digital transaction risk management to increase the adoption of QRIS as a means of payment. Abstract

Islamic banks in Indonesia, including in Nganjuk, offer financing products based on sharia principles to meet the needs of the community, such as BSI OTO, which facilitates the purchase of vehicles with schemes in accordance with Islamic values. BSI OTO is a sharia automotive financing service resulting from a collaboration between Bank Syariah Indonesia and PT Mandiri Utama Finance Unit Usaha Syariah. BSI OTO offers low margins, easy installments, fast applications, and a variety of vehicle options, as well as guaranteeing sharia principles without usury, gharar, and maisir. This study aims to analyze the effect of customer relationship management (CRM), service quality, and trust on customer loyalty of BSI OTO financing at Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Nganjuk Yos Sudarso, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative method with incidental sampling techniques. A total of 100 questionnaires were distributed to BSI OTO customers. The independent variables include CRM, service quality, and trust, while the dependent variable is customer loyalty. Data were analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The results show that service quality has a significant influence on customer loyalty, while CRM and trust do not have a significant influence. However, simultaneously, all three variables have an effect on customer loyalty with an R square of 0.284, or 28.4%. This study provides insight into the factors that influence customer loyalty to sharia financing products in Indonesia, especially BSI OTO, and underlines the importance of service quality in increasing loyalty.
